“Nice looking place but...”
Reviewed January 8, 2013 via mobile

Ate 2 meals there over the last week as I am working in Alamogordo for 3 weeks.

The good.. Nice decor, nice atmosphere, good service thoug yelling out andiamo ny non-italians sounds stupid.

The bad...food is mediocre with watery oversauced pasta with no taste.

Where did they get that this was Italian Food. Nachos, green chili’s; at best it is just another invention of TEXAS on what they think Italian Food should/would be if they ever left the state and visited Italy. Again, another chain place like Chili’s, Mac Grill or Appleby’s (ideas fm TX) food delivered from a factory frozen to every their locations, then microwave to serve. You would do best to go to Wal-Mart and buy a frozen meal, this is how all these place are. A real restaurant chef, goes out everyday, shops for the meat, fish, vegetables, bread etc…, to provide a palatable menu. With so many fresh options that NM offers, I don’t see why this restaurant could not provide this?

“A break from the sea of national chain restaurants on White Sands Blvd”
Reviewed January 2, 2013

We were staying at the Fairfield Inn and this restaurant was right outside the hotel. The whole street is a sea of Applebees/IHOPs/Chilis and every other chain restaurant imaginable, so we were happy to try this one on the recommendation of the hotel front desk. We went back for dinner two nights in a row. It's pretty standard Italian fare, heavy on pasta, but well-prepared and tasty. Not too many vegetarian options for an Italian restaurant. The lobster ravioli, angelhair with artichoke and Italian chili were especially good. Liked also that they have a $2 dessert taster menu, so you're not stuck with either ordering a giant artery-clogging dessert or skipping dessert entirely. We had the same waiter both nights and she was great: very attentive and remembered what we had ordered the previous night while making recommendations for our second dinner there. Definitely worth it, especially given the options nearby.

“we took a chance”
Reviewed December 18, 2012

We saw an Italian place not too far from our B&B and we thought we might try it, but did not want heavy food. We could not find parking the first night. 2nd night we did- we were very pleased with our choice of salads and sharing a pizza. We were even more pleased with Jason, our waiter. When full, it tends to be noisy- but even so, we went back on night 4. Good choice for us.

This restaurant was conveniently located and had good, homey Italian food. It was not too noisy.
The service was very good and the prices resonable
