After going through the reviews I booked this hotel directly and really had a good experience. A hearty and warm welcome at the reception, prompt and excellent room service…whenevr I used to call and ask for something within no time it was there in my room which is the best part of this hotel, room was neat and clean, food was really good, also location is excellent as it is situated on Madhya marg and almost every place is nearby. Last but no the least price is least as compared to other nearby hotels which are costly..

Arrived at this hotel and disappointed with exterior view as it seems nothing like some of the photos. Hotel itself is on the second floor and no lift, a hard climb for pensioners. Rooms allocated were at the end of the corridor opening out onto rooftops. Very cold rooms, although extra blankets were readily supplied. We found out why on our last morning - no glass in the one window at all, just the mosquito net. Rooms were clean as were all communal areas of hotel itself. Room boys were excellent, couldn't have helped more. Food was brilliant. Due to having a 2 year old, we ate our evening meal in the rooms and we all enjoyed what was on offer. There is no restaurant as such, all meals are taken in rooms. Hot water showers were brilliant. One downside was the banging from the roof due to upgrading, but upon asking them to be quiet after 6pm (which they did), no other problems really.
There were several eating places in close proximity to the hotel, so not sure why other guests could not find these on the same main road. We ate at the downstairs pizza place further down the road which was very good and cheap. Other restaurants in the area did seem a bit expensive from exterior views, but did not go in so could not comment.

The rooms were clean, The staff was very helpful. The location is also convinient. The only problem is there is no elevator to the second floor and you have to walk all the way up. Also the windows open in the lobby and one can hear the noise of Tv from other rooms.

Apart from it the hotel is good for budget travellers who are on a short trip with not much of frills

Iam not sure how this hotel got so many positive reviews previously. I traveled to Dharamsala and stayed in Chandigarh on the way. We chose this hotel after reading some pleasant reviews on TA and booked it via cleartrip.com.

On checkin, we were taking to a shady room in the corner of the hotel. The room was large but was stinking and the waiter gave us some dhoop to get rid of the smell. The floor was dirty, there was dust everywhere and the bed was not cleaned for ages. We cleaned the bed and went to sleep. An hour later we were woken up by a loud noise which was coming from some machine being used next door.

The hotel is located in the sector which sells toilet ware and light fittings. No restaurants, but 3 wine shops near the hotel. Luckily we had a car so we drove to a restaurant in a different sector.

The managers did not pay any heed when we complained. If the management is reading this review, your hotel needs some renovation.

My wife ordered some vegeterian lunch from room service and the food was good. That was the only positive here.

Tip - Stay away from this place. There are plenty of good options in Chd in half the amount they charge.
