I don't quite understand how this place gets the reviews it does. I think it was ranked the #4 best value hotel in hyderabad on tripadvisor. in my line of work I end up spending quite a bit of time in small hotels in rural parts of india, really crummy, dilapidated places. I think this might be the worst piece of accommodation I've paid for, period. between a mouse running through the room, dirty sheets, random mud in my shower, a loud party in their restaurants that prevented me from sleeping and staff that kept bothering me (because, I think, they were unaware that I had been moved from the mouse room) this was a pretty raw deal. perhaps aside from being shielded from hyderabad's exhaust fumes, this wasn't too different from sleeping on the street.
I tend to think of myself as being pretty easy going, but maybe if this place cost Rs. 500 a night I'd maybe think it was worth it. while the party and the mouse might be rare events, they're probably symptomatic of a place that isn't being maintained. also, there's no wifi and the location, while charming in an 'old city' sense, is somewhat removed from central hyderabad.
given other options, I would just avoid this place.
