“Very good hotel to stay”
Reviewed January 8, 2014

In case if you decide to stay within RFC limit area, I would recommend to stay in Sitara hotel, it's been expensive but you will get really good experience. One thing I didn't like is that attraction area like RFC, should not allow marriage functions. The entire hotel was booked by marriage party and hence it was difficult for Sitara management to have buffet breakfast due to pax limitations. Hotel is very clean, Gym, Swimming pool is well maintained.

Room Tip: Go for theme suits and chose the location at the corner of the corridor.

This hotel is right in the middle of Ramoji Film city. The decor is excellent and lived upto our expectations. Our room was nicely done, with LCD TV, leather sofa (single) seat, writing table and office chair and huge window looking at the hills and green landscape. The bathroom was excellent and had top notch fittings, shower cubical was nice and spacious. But this is only the half story.

The staff is excellent, they agreed to my request for a room with a view. They gave us room on 7th floor, had the view of swimming pool and green hills. When we arrived, we were attended right away and lady on the reception gave us all important park info promptly.

We had one breakfast and dinner covered as part of our room reservation. Bfast was awsome and had lot of options - south indian snacks, omlet station, bread/muffins, cereals, tea, coffee, dosa/uthappa station..quality of food was excellent. For dinner, they had a buffet outdoor at their champion club next door. That was even better with many veg-nonveg options, mutton biryani was very good and they had live tandoor where roti and naan were freshly made. It was cold that night and they even had a heating rod in the middle of the buffet to keep the guests warm. Lighting and live music kept us engaged while we were eating.

To top it off, the day we left we were scheduled for the guided tour of the film city. That day due to some mix up, the AC buses which give the tour were running late. One bus came and got full instantly. We did not get the seat in that bus. As we were leaving by 1pm, we were not in a position to go on the next bus. Rajesh Nair (GM of this facility) came to rescue. He took us in a toyota corrola for this guided tour. He made many more stops than the regular tour and gave us even better tour of the park. That whole park tour experience made our trip even more memorable.

Thanks to Rajesh Nair who made our stay at Sitara memorable! Highly recommend this place if you are visiting ramoji film city. Instead of just visiting on day trip, stay at Sitara and enjoy the park the way it should be.

One suggestion to Sitara - if possible keep some bicycles on rent for the guests. The parks and film city can be enjoyed even better if we can go at even slower pace.

Room Tip: room at a higher floor and towards the swimming pool.

Me, my mum and dad stayed for 1 night in this fantastic hotel. We loved the decor / architecture and the feel of the place was great. The place was extremely quiet... the hotel staff explained that new hotels have opened in the main city centre of Hyderabad... so giving them stiff competition.

The service we received was amazing from start to finish at every moment. The smiles, the warm welcome.

Our best experience was in the restaurant. The food was quite good, lets say 7/10. However, the service was flawless. However, this is also mainly due to us being almost the only peopple waited upon since the hotel was a ghost town. In any case, we were made to feel very welcome and all the waiters / waitresses were very considerate and alert to our needs.

The swimming pool area was fantastic to look at.

Another highlight was the view of Ramoji Film Studio from our room on the 5th floor.

Overall, I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in style and enjoy their experience at the film studios.

Room Tip: Get a room facing the swimming pool and as high as possible... the view of the mountain, lake area...

Stay at the 'luxurious' Sitara was a very big letdown for my and my family when we stayed there for 1 night on 13th nov. A make shift arrangement was done for dinner and breakfast at Mayfair hall with very noisy orchestra to accompany for dinner. To me, it looked as if the hotel guys didn't want us to eat our stomach full since inspite of repeat requests, the volume of noise masquerading as music wasn't reduced. We ultimately decided to leave the dinner without enjoying it.....and this is when we paid a good amount of money. The staff at reception was very rude and wanted me to square off the bill of my 1 night stay package in the night itself, even when 50% was already paid by me as a booking amount, a good 1 week prior to my stay !!! I was asked to do this at ~ 7.30 PM when we went down to reception to check where the dinner was served !!! Will never ever recommend.....
Even the RFC tour wasn't professionally managed and we're let to fend for ourselves after a brief trip around in the bus !!!
Hotels charging this kind of money offer a much much better and a customer centric service.
To add to the icing, at the time of checkout, the hotel guys didn't know that they already had received 50% advance and presented me the complete bill again. When informed about advance payment, they wanted me to show them the receipt/e-mail.....can the hotel respond on how did they recognise my booking the previous day if they hadn't received all the details including payments done ?!!
Will NEVER EVER recommend a stay at Sitara !!!

We stayed here 3 nights in the Suite. The interior is good. the staff is very polite and attentive. Breakfast (included in the package) was good. The sightseeing bus tours were well arranged. Its quite close to the place where the carnival parade walk ends. It was dusssera-diwali period so all the hotel and the walkways were illuminated - looked magical. The pool is good size and clean. Spa ok. The play area is poorly maintained and although they advertised bicycle rental, it was not available during our stay - a bit disappointing. They sent us a car to collect us from the Ramoji film city main gate and charged us for it - we thought it should have been complimentary. Spacious parking area - free parking. During our 3 nights package they took us to actual shooting places and our kids loved that!

Room Tip: take 3 nights package and they will take you to actual shooting places

Took a 3D/3N stay in the hotel as part of their Monsoon Masti offer. Excellent facilities in the room. Each and every staff member takes pains to make you feel like a VIP. It was a real second honeymoon for me after 30+ years of happy married life! High quality food... lavish quantities that I was loth to waste, so I asked them to serve half portions which would serve for my wife and myself combined!! Great Indian cuisine.. Chinese is also good... We also tried the spa for a foot reflexology session.. very good service The ambience of Ramoji Film City is to be seen to be believed!! Met some movie stars in the lounge too!! The hotel decor is a bit on the heavy side, though.... but not at all uncomfortable, as we can vouch!! Met Mr.Rana the GM, a very friendly man who personally inquired about the service quality. This hotel relies a lot on customer feedback; I filled in at least three forms. Strongly recommend for a visit with your young children and grandchildren.

Room Tip: Get a room on the 6+ floor, facing the east, for a good view......

I stayed at this hotel during a recent trip to Hyderabad. Must say that this hotel (a 5 star) has all that it takes to be compared to a chain of hotel. Rooms are very spacious. Every floor has a different theme of rooms (Decor). The hotel has a big open pool, makes it all the more better. Amazing in-house food (try the breakfast items). Service was excellent and the guests are really made to feel special. Only area of improvement....they need to have slightly bigger rest rooms. May be the newer rooms on other floors have a bigger one. Overall, a truly exotic property and a must stay when you go down to see the RCC or even otherwise.

Room Tip: Ask for a pool facing room!
