The monument is still stunning after so many centuries. The ambience however is very shabby. Rampant hawkers, sign boards spoils the experience. Thankfully no traffic allowed around the immediate vicinity. It's congestion hub during peak hours.

Ok first the minus. It is definitely a struggle to reach the place through narrow bylanes of the bazaar but then if you visit Hyderabad, you have to get your pic informs of this amazing piece of Islamic architecture. ❤️ The imposing monument stands regally tall amidst the colorful bangle shops in the labyrinthine Laad Bazar of the old city and presents a beautiful glittering sight after nightfall (7pm-9pm).

Currently the famous monument is under repair and vehicular traffic is restricted. But for the people on the roads surrounding the iconic structure and for the traditional markets, it is business as usual. Visiting there one can visualise, smell and taste the old world charms.

I have seen many historical monuments and have always wondered how the people during those times would have built such marvels. It is just unimaginable the way it has been built and that it stands so strong even after so many years. Where did these people complete their Engineering degrees from. It is simply mind blogging. Kids can enter for free and adults they charges us only Rs. 25/-. The steps are quite steep but once you reach the top the view is just awesome.

The most famous land mark of Hyderabad. The streets and road near to it is usually busy with visitors and street vendors. You can climb on the tower to get a better view of the surroundings. Climbing up will not be easy for elders as the steps are high. The streets around the monument is famous for street shopping, especially for fancy items, cloths and pearl jewellery. It is cheap and you can bargain. You can taste the street food in the evenings and it is good. The irani tea available in the near by hotels are quite good.

Visited Charminar during my latest visit to Hyderabad,

The place is awesome with everything around, shopping, delicious food, etc etc...,
The Charminar is truly awesome, but this time we tried to climb the ladder to the top, which was not a good idea, the stairs are very small & a long way to climb, we were carrying small kid, hence had to backout & the stairs are so small that you cannot alight from it, if any other person is climbing, hence to climb in & climb out, there are seperate stairs from different sides, luckily the other people who were climbing were not much, hence we were able to climb down the stairs somehow.

Anyway coming to the good part, besides Charminar there are good juice centers which provides delicious deserts, like Mango Malai, Shahdoot Malai, etc etc... they are simply finger licking, these juice centers are just opposite to the Mecca Masjid gate besides Charminar, one must not miss these & have it for sure.

Then off course if you want to buy the bangles the shops are all over besides the Charminar & the cost is also around 100 rs. per bangle box (generally 2 big bangles).

Also if you want to buy traditional dresses for marriage or party, you can go inside the lane just after the Mecca Masjid, from where the Vehicles are not allowed, I did not bought any clothes, but seems to be good variety of clothes there, not sure how is the pricing.

Also now no Vehicles are allowed near Charminar & Mecca Masjid, this is a good thing, that they stopped the Vehicles from entering near CharMinar, earlier that used to caused a lots of traffic.

Overall very good place for shopping & food !!!
