“Good Italian meal (rare in hyderabad)”
Reviewed March 5, 2013

Hyderabad is devoid of 'pure' italian joints. Tre-forni is a rare place with authentic italian.

Food qulaity: great,
Service: been there many times. what i ordered earlier was recalled along with the drink. individual brilliance by the server or databasing but a pretty good experience.
Price: high, meal for two with drinks is about 4 k which is high for a regular meal out.
Sunday brunch: good spread but service is slow during Sunday.

Judgement: good place for authentic Italian but be ready for a nice cheque at the end.

“Italian without mozzarella!”
Reviewed February 18, 2013

This is a very hyped up restaurant in a very hyped up hotel in recent times, touted as probably the most authentic Italian restaurant in India, and definitely in Hyderabad, where authentic Italian restaurants can be counted on one's finger tips. Perhaps it is not fair to judge based upon just one visit. On the other hand, if it is such a hyped up place, it needs to be consistent so that every meal is memorable, specially at this price level. Well, it was definitely not memorable.

To start with, the decor hardly suggests Italian or mediterranean. It is the conventional, heavy duty, boring decor that one finds in almost every restaurant in hotels of this category, at least in India. It judt did not exude any intimacy or warmth. Then came the shocker with the wine list. As a single diner, I love to have a glass or two of wine with my Italian meal. There was no wine that was less than Rs. 1600 per glass, yes this is not a typo! This is almost $30 per glass!!! They must be really out of their minds. I settled for a basil lemon mocktail that was sweet to the extent of being unpalatable.

I had the minestrone soup and the bufala pizza. There were many items on the menu that listed mozarella as an ingredient, the way one would expect in any good Italian restaurant. The waiter promptly informed me that they did not have any mozzarella, and instead would be using bocconcini. I have no problem with bocconcini, in fact I like it. But if they cannot have mozzarella, they have no right to list it in the menu. I have never heard of any authentic Italian restaurant not having mozzarella in the kitchen.

The minestrone was actually very good, a bit on the spicier side to accomodate the Indian taste buds perhaps, and also very good portion. The accompanying bread basket was very disappointing with none of the breads tasting any where near authentic focaccia or Italian. The biggest let down was the pizza. One look as it was laid in front of me, and I knew it was a disaster. It was bright orange/ red in color and looked and smelt totally charred. It was thin crust alright, but had been baked way too long. Almost seemed like some one had forgotten it in the oven. The sauce was terrible, just did not taste any where near the roma tomatoes it should be. I barely managed to have half the pizza.

If I happen to be back in Hyderabad, I might give it a second chance. If not, it is goodbye Tre-Forni. Prego at Westin is far better.

“fantastic food”
Reviewed December 29, 2012

food here is authentic italian.
i've probably been here about 30 times since it opened.
the only complaint is the service- sometimes it is excellent and sometimes it is terrible.
it is almost as if they can be very nice to you or be complete duds.
but who cares, i like to food so much that i just ignore them most of the time!

“Sunday brunch or anytime excellent Pizza”
Reviewed November 8, 2012

Tri Forni Park Haytt is our favorite Italian restaurant in Hyderabad. We are regular clients and Matteo is our favorite cook. The ambiance is cosy and calm, The kitchen is open and you can see your pizza getting cooked in the "forni". The brunch on Sunday is the "rendez vous " for all delicatessen from Italy and other europeen country, special ham, cheese, lettuce, terrine, praws etc....Wine is included in the price of the brunch, it is excellent wine. We went many time to the Tri Forni for lunch or dinner and we always loved it. Our favorite are: (of course Pizza: best in town) any salads, pastas, ravioli are a must....ham, bread etc....everything is our favorite actually! You get what you pay for! Best service, all the flavors from italy are there!!

“Sunday Brunch”
Reviewed November 4, 2012

First time at the Tre-Forni Sunday brunch at the posh Hyderabad Park Hyatt.
If you wish to eat real Italian food (like "made in Italia"), that's the only place to be in Hyderabad.
The view from the dining room overlooks part of the city and is adding a nice touch to the place.
The service is perfect and the cooks are doing a great job under the direction of Italian Chef Matteo. The dishes go from grilled lobster to orange duck and subtle raviolis filled with foie gras. A nice cheese selection. Italian sparkling, red and white wine add to the Italian atmosphere.
This was a wonderful experience.
