“relaxing location with lovely beach and nice gardens/trees”
Reviewed November 13, 2012

Stayed here in Nov 2012. Sea Princess is about 40 min drive from Port Blair through incredibly green sugar cane fields and rice paddies--and in a more remote and less developed area. The grounds of the hotel are a beautiful garden with swimming pool and nice path to the gate that opens on the public beach of Wandoor. The water is warm although a bit murky-- not crystal clear as on other islands. The beach is pristine clean white sand and goes on and on. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful once we arrived at the resort and helped with whatever we asked. The restaurant had fairly average/basic options and food. The rooms were comfortable and good sized, with balcony for enjoying the greenery/garden/trees all around. The bed was fairly comfy, although pretty hard. Major constraint for this hotel: four of us tried to make/confirm reservations for 6 weeks via email and phone with little success. One of us had a confirmation email 3 weeks prior to our arrival, but 3 days before we arrived, we tried to reconfirm hotel reservation and airport pickup and were told there was no reservation. Thankfully once we arrived in Port BLair (a day before we planned to go to Sea Princess), we finally managed to get someone to pick up the phone, and we made the reservation again. There is no credit card machine at the resort, so we were taken first to Hotel Sentinel to pay---and it was clear that the reservation system even there is badly broken. Phone/internet coverage at the Sea Princess is very limited-- and they have no wifi.

We stayed for four nights at the Sea princess in the first 2nd week of October and were blown away by everything. From the time we checked in to departure all our needs were taken care off and we never left the property on those four days.

The rooms are fantastic and offer the utmost comfort even though we had a garden facing room it had a good view and was close to the pool side and the bar.

We had an all meals included package and it was definitely worth it - the breakfast has one of the best spreads. They have a multiple cuisine restaurant and we tried all of it and must say the food was fantastic and the service was superlative with an aim to provide customer delight.

Great open lawns provide the greenery that the eye seeks and is well manicured and great for walks around the property. The beach is connected to the resort - The beach is super but not great for swimming but the sand is soft and is great for long walks

The staff is geared to please - Roy at the front desk called and said that since we were leaving really early in the morning he would organize packed breakfasts for us which was a very sweet gesture - also many incidents that give you the feeling that you are important to them

Would recommend this place anytime...

Stayed for 4 days during mid september with my wife. One need to walk only 2 minute to reach the beach. Beach was very clean and very few people were there. Sea princess beach resort is a really nice and calm place to stay, also not very far from the main city. There are very few shops and restaurants near by this resort. Food is ok, nothing great. Swimming pool looks nice, we did not try it. Also it has a very nice beach bar. Check in and check out was really smooth. I booked through yatra and got a very good deal. Only negative point is the service staff (room service), they were rude whereas the people at reception were very helpful. Overall its worth the money and we will stay there again next year.

Hi All. We stayed here from 20th till 22nd September 2012. I would like to thank the entire staff of Symphony palms right from front desk to cafe to room keeping for making our stay in Havelock a wonderful one.

Resort - We just loved the resort. We made our booking through one of the booking portals. We had our booking in havelock lagoon. But to our pleasant surprise our room was upgraded to the suite room without any extra charges. The difference between havelock lagoon and suite is that of a TV and a thick mattress. Room was very confortable, neat & clean and well maintained. They have a mini bar also in the room. We were provided with 2 bottles of packaged mineral water every day without any charges. Buffet breakfast was part of room package and was served from 7:30 am to 11 noon.

Private Beach - The beach is actually a short 1 min walk from our room. The best part of the private beach is that it is very secluded. There is no shack no shop on the beach and hence it is very neat and clean.

Overall our experience at Symphony Palms was amazing. I will definitely recommend it to everyone.

Really nice hotel, food was fantastic, room and bathroom was very nice, bed was very comfortable!! Only a 3 minute walk down to the beach. The pool and the bar are very good and they have a terrace at the top of the hotel which has amazing sea view. This really is a great hotel for a very reasonable price. Staff are very nice and helpful

Stayed there for three nights with my family. It gets a 5 on 5 for location; its situated in a quiet corner of the city at 50 mtrs from a quiet private beach, away from the maddening crowd of Portblair beaches. Rooms are simple and clean with excellent views and a spacious balcony sit out. Ground floor rooms have a pool view. Overall its a big place with the main building, large pool area and restaurant and bar section. The restaurant dishes out excellent food; comp.breakfast gets a little boring after a while as the spread is limited. There was no room service when we visited, but didn't really miss it as there is a minibar. In terms of service and guest interaction, I would say its very good.
All in all , nothing to complain about the place.

What property, just fabulous, maintained impeccably. Lawns so beautiful with absolute clear blue water flowing down towards the lovely pool. The time spent was worth it. This property is worth in any visitor's itinerary specially during the weekends. The view of the beach from the lobby is mind blowing. Had breakfast and was worth every penny spend. Huge spread, excellent options, fresh & delicious coupled with extremely courteous & smiling service never allowed us to feel like visitor's. Just extraordinary & for sure the stay at next visit will be there & hope I am sure I will have much more nicer things to say. No wonder it is rated as one of the best hotels across the globe.
