“The cheap room is really cheap”

We opted for the non-airconditioned room. That's basically a room with an airconditioner that you're not to use. The room was bare. Big. And bare. The sheets could have been cleaner, the loo bigger, the room, less smelly.

And when in Andaman, all the trips begin early. Thats when the boats leave. We asked for breakfast at 7am. We got it at 730. Poori aloo. That's it.

Not worth the money you're paying.

We were in this hotel Reef - a unit of holiday resort for the first 2 nights as January being the season time, we had our bookings late. We got the AC Suit. The room was quite spacious and very clean. But there is no restaurant. After touring the islands and coming back to the hotel in evening we used to roam for good restaurants as the Reef doesn't provide any meal. Staff was okay .They guided us for the quality food available at The New Light House Restaurant near Aquarium, which they said was there's.But the food was WORSE both veg and non veg. Next day we went to the LIGHTHOUSE restaurant in Aberdeen Bazaar where the food was good.
We had our breakfast included in our itinerary but we didnt find it worth eating. It was average.
Breakfast used to come after making two calls to the desk.
I was happy when we finally moved to our next hotel as going to the bazaar by auto rickshaw late at night in the tired state and searching for the good eateries was a task.

firstly let me make it clear that this hotel is not 3 star . I would rather call it as lodge than hotel. There are no amenities in this hotel. You need to carry your own hot water in the morning. Staff are not so co-operative, there is no attached restaurant so you need to walk down 2-3 km to have dinner/lunch.. they will promise for breakfast but dont expect a buffet kinda thing, they will send some puri/bread to the room. There is no room cleaning service available so you need to live in that stink throughout your stay, no blanket, no towels, no soaps nothing...!! if you are going to port blair for honeymoon and your travel agent allocated this hotel BEWARE surroundings are not very good and surely your partner will feel uncomfortable. hotel is flooded with bars and you will find liquor flowing down the streets..!

I had been in this hotel in November 2012. I didn't book it and we were offered this hotel when our "resort in havelock" did its best to make us lose our ferry to Havelock. This hotel is simply average. It didn't stad off the crowd, the bed was clean, the batroom sink was broken and we had a bucket under it to collect water and we had to empty it in the toilet.
Anyway, seen that there's not worse to the worse, while coming back from Havelock we spent a night into another hotel in Port Blair and it was much worse. So, this hotel, still being a plain average, shown that it's not so bad in the end of the tail. By the way, Port Blair is shabby and travellers should deal with the Devil to not waste a night there, and move as soon as they can to other islands.

Spacious room with new forniture. Very clean but without hot water. We called to have it but the staff was totally unhelpful. Far away from the city center but next to some shop (among which very good backery) . No good restaurant are reachable by foot from there. The staff is a bit "bitter" and seems not to be very helpful. Was too expensive for the serviced offered in the island even if the room was good.

We stayed in this hotel for 5D/4N in 3 rooms. Overall experience was good. We were in rooms 204,205, & 208. The area inside room is good with neat and clean stuff around. Good furniture, AC, Beds, Tables, Chairs, Fan, Lighting etc. Bathroom has heater too. We got a package which included this hotel for 1200 (AC Deluxe room)
Outside the room the walls look old, the doors frame looks broken etc, but the doors are all intact and inside the room its very good.
In the 3 rooms we stayed, we had to manually turn off the switches before we came out of the room, which was not easy all the time.
The service was fine whenever we needed it.

I accept the fact that food is flop nearby. But there is a very good Restaurant there called MEHMAAN in port blair. The food there was awesome, especially the fish items. There is a review about that hotel in trip advisor too.
