The gardens are awesome. Also, the food in the little hut, is out standing. However how they get away with renting rooms that have bare electrical wires and unfinished walls. The shower had no shower head, but did not make any difference because we had no water.

The trees were beautiful and overall a very pleasant day. Not a lot of flowers in March.

The garden is a splendid tropical paradise. For bird watchers and botanical lovers it is a must. If none of the above it is a great place to relax and contemplate, nature here is at its best. The park has a great infrastructure and plenty staff to cater to everyone.

Great experience for anyone in Tela. The tour is a must, I would try the fruits they have for sale. They are delicious.

I discovered Lacentilla while on a motor bike tour along the north coast. The information area was helpful and the maps provided were acurate. The stone pathways meander through the lower gardens that are well manicured and exotic plants learly labeled. If you wonder off the beaten path a little there is a grave site and foundation walls of the original british settlers. Probably best not to wander off the path too far.

Lots of humming birds, woodpeckers and finches. Also saw a hawk or two and a few parrotts.
