A fabulous restaurant serving great food, perfectly spiced and very true to Indian cuisine, the fish curries are all spectacular, everything is great and feel authentic from the nan breads to the rice. Slightly pricier than other restaurants in the region but a great change for great food. (except desserts - but Indian desserts are not known for being good, just get an ice cream on youway back on the strip) Food is freshly cooked and prepared to order as well so highly unlikely to give you 'Banjul Belly'. Great for hygiene and food safety.

Came here with my friend, I enjoyed my dish but my friend didn't. The service was very good, Was expensive compared to all the other restaurants but was nice for a change.

“downhill slope, used to be quite good”
Reviewed April 16, 2014

the restaurant changed hands recently and we were recommended to try it. First visit in October was quite good, so took a friend from Canada there. this time the food was well below average - all three of us vowed not to bother with a return visit.

Less of a Jewel and more of a cubic zirconia.

The food was very average and expensive even by British standards: we paid roughly 15 quid for a main, sundries and a couple of drinks, about a third more than we paid anywhere else in Kololi.

Service was poor and confused. We were a fairly large and boisterous group, but everywhere else we went managed to accommodate us: the Jewel was the only place we had any problems.

If you like paying over the odds for mediocre food, this is the place for you. Otherwise, there are far better options nearby.
