I must admit the "Le Carre" is an excellent dining choice in French Polynesia. The menu choices are exquisite, the design of the options is very unique and the flavors are simply delicious.
They have several dishes that explore how the different flavors in the ingredients can be used,
The price of the restaurant is not low cost, nor is the wine list, but there is no question the value of the food and the wine is clear for the price paid. There are great choices on the wine list and they make the flavors of the menu choices stand out.
The chef(s) are very thoughtful and intentional in their decisions and the experiences here in Le Carre blend French style artistry with local cuisine and food choices.
The restaurant host was excellent as well as the chef when we dined. The only disappointment was some of the service staff were not well matched with the goals and atmosphere desired at the restaurant (in my humble opinion).
