“Best Chinese on Moorea”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 20, 2012

As a part time residents of Moorea for over 35 years we love the Mahogany.
We know they have the best spring rolls on the island. Their menu also has
many other choices besides Chinese. Always a great dinning adventure.

“Excellent restaurant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 19, 2012

We ate here twice during our week stay at the Hilton Moorea. The first time I had the spring rolls and Special Mahogany chow mein. Both were delicious! My husband had the mahi mahi which he said was very good. We went back again and they did not have spring rolls so I had the shrimp and avocado salad and the special chow mein again(that's how good it is). The others in the party had swordfish, fried shrimp and another chow mein dish. Everyone agreed this was an excellent dinner choice both times!

“Best dinner we had in Moorea”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 8, 2012

To my surprise, the best dinner we had in Moorea was here. I had Mahi Mahi a la meuniere. My husband had the special - parrot fish with saffron leek sauce. Both were delish. Ambiance was nice. The price was like most dinner restaurants on the island - steeper than what you'd get in the US (prices between 25-35/dish), but food was good, plentiful and you didn't really need to order an appetizer. Would definitely return.

“Best in Moorea”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 3, 2012

We went there 8 times in our 10 day stay. Tasty food, big portions, nice people looking after you and the great decoration inside is amazing. From Lobster to Steak, from Coconut Fish to a nice Curry, everything taste delicious.if you got space left, try one of the wonderful desserts. Fred the Waiter in a gem and the kitchen a dream. It's the perfect place to eat on the Island after sunset and with a free pick-up service in the evening from most Hotels, you can enjoy another glass of wine in Paradise.

“One of the best on Moorea”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 18, 2012

Just down the road from our beach house was Le Mahogany Restaurant where the fusion of French and Chinese cuisines reign supreme. Six of use had dinner there and not one of us were disappointed. The Shrimp & Avocado Salad is a great start followed by the Shrimp & Scallops in Puff Pastry, washed down with a Hinano beer. Also very good is the Mahi Mahi in coconut cream sauce or just sautéed in butter. They even have a great Rib Eye Steak that is imported from New Zealand. The word value comes to mind when the bill comes at the end of the evening.
