I'd always loved Georgia O'Keefe's work, but after exploring the Ghost Ranch where she painted for many summers, I fully appreciate her inspiration. The land is beautiful - meadows, canyons, rocky cliffs .... and nearby Abiquiu Lake. The Ranch is now a retreat center with lots of offerings of spiritual seminars and art exporation weekends. I took the Landscape Tour, walked the labyrinth, and enjoyed the dark night starry sky. Accomodations are clean, adequate and meals served cafeteria style with group seating. This is an adult "sleep over" camp - I will visit again to relax and recharge.

“One of the most beautiful places on earth”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 9, 2012

This is the land where Georgia O'Keefe got her inspiration for her paintings. The beauty of this place is 360 degrees around. I wish we had taken the tour and walked the labyrinth. If you go, be sure and do that. We did sit out on the porch and take it all in for awhile. It is God's country. No wonder Georgia loved it so.

There for a convention. Very nice quite location with exceptional service. It is a self contained facility removed from the surrounding communities.

“A trip into history”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 26, 2012

With a relative quick trip from Santa Fe or Taos you can walk into history: recent past - Georgia O'Keefe, historic - Wild-West, or pre-historic - dinosaur dig sites. As you walk or drive around the ranch - you can picture yourself in a Georgia O'Keefe painting - the colors are intoxicating. We booked a Thursday only tour of the Dinosaur dig site and were able to spend some very quality time with the resident paleontologist, Alex Downs. An unforgettable experience!
