A case of the very good and not so good. The overall resort is lovely - well maintained gardens and a pleasant setting just a F$30 taxi trip from the airport, and ideal for our departure the following day from the Vuda Marina next door.We were advised our spa ocean front bungalow had been refurbished but if so this must have been some time back - our bathroom in room 303 was very tired. On the plus, the room was large, and it was lovely relaxing in the warmth and watching the vivid sunset.
We were there on a Saturday night - excellent fish dinner and curry under the stars while enjoying talented entertainment.
Friendly staff but there were a few lapses in service.

Some of the nicest food we've had in Fiji in a great setting. The management and staff make you feel very welcome, more like old friends than guests and the service was warm, friendly and efficient. The beach isnt the best for swimming but pituresque when the tide is in. Rooms are nice (the bathrooms are a bit dated, but clean) with a covered in veranda for sipping those sundowners. A great place for families and those wanting to get away from the plastic resorts. The beach front bures are very quiet and well located. We had friends who married here earlier on and they loved the fact that it wasnt a big resort and the wedding party was a big chunk of the clients - no strangers wandering past in the wedding pics! We will definately be back.

This resort is the only beach resort near Nadi Airport, about 20-30min drive away. Taxi costs about FJD36 to the resort. The Vuda harbour right next to the resort (past the massage bure through the exit) has great restaurants, including the excellent beachcomber, mainly populated by the marina crowd of anchoring seamen. The drive to the resort from the airport can be a bit disheartening, along sugar mills and a refinery, but the resort is beautifully located, and the absolute 5 star experience are the staff. I will stay there again any day!

Room Tip: If you want to be away from it all, a garden bure is for you - mind you: NO TV, but absolute bliss.

We enjoyed the location, away from other resorts. But many employees would ask what we were going to do that day and tried to get us to cancel and book with their friend. Food was ok and bar was limited due to employees limited knowledge.... Also when something did not work we would go to front desk ask for it to be fixed. They said someone would be coming and no one ever came and this happend three times.

Room Tip: Ask for a beach room, garden rooms ok but we backed up to the laundry and could not change our room...

Amazing place to stay if you want to get away from a busy life. Relaxing atmosphere, lovely people, time is going very slow there which is very enjoyable... Lots of activities if you keen on it. JJ is absolutely adorable! We spent so much time with him and learned so many truly Fijian things from him. We still have Fijian music on our Ipods. :)
The restaurant is very good as well, we really enjoyed the food we ordered from there.
Night shows were just beautiful, highly recommend to book a table close to the stage.
SPA... Awwww... Just a heaven... <3

Room Tip: Ocean view, away from restaurant if you want it to be very quiete.

We were met at the airport by the hotel transfer (Tuna )who was informative and friendly, Upon arrival the porter gathered our bags and we checked in. We were then led to the bar for a "welcome drink'. We were taken to our ocean view room with spa and to our surprise a welcome message was placed on the bed in leaves and flowers by the housekeeping staff, and a message was done each day to our delight. We were all made welcome and felt like one of the family. All staff members had an infectious smile and belly laugh and nothing was too much trouble. For the kids there was crab hunting for the crab race held on Wednesday night along with "happy hour punch", hat weaving, pool games, volleyball, jewellery making, an ice cream eating competition, pizza making and much more and which the children looked forward seeing the activity board each morning. A contential breakfast was included each morning and there was a cooked breakfast as an added cost. Our daughters birthday was made even more special when Wice wove a special birthday hat, housekeeping painstakingly did a message on her bed, the dining room deck overlooking the beach was made into a party section by Mau, Kesa, Toria and other staff, just for us and Norman made a special plate with happy birthday written in melted chocolate on which was placed a chocolate slice with a candle. Sai's playfulness entertained the girls and his "big brother" attitude endeared us all. We were all able to catch the local bus to Lautoka and Nadi which was a wonderful experience. Meals at the resort were amazing and tasteful. There is a marina thru the gates where you are able to have lunch at the local cafe or dinner/lunch at a reasonable price at the pub and on Sundays a local band. We had the best time at First Landing and look forward to returning.

Room Tip: The Ocean View Bure with spa has all the beds in one room so if you want to sleep seperately from th...

This was our first trip to Fiji & we couldnt have chosen a better place to stay. While the bigger resorts were always an option, we wanted to stay somewhere smaller & with more personalized attention. From the helpful reception staff, to the sweet lady who cleaned our room everyday, to the delicious food, everything was perfect. We were staying in a garden bure since the ocean facing bures were all reserved, but it was a short walk to the beach anyway, as the resort is not huge. A special thank you to Sai , the entertainment in charge at the resort. He kept our 2 boys busy, played hours of table tennis with them, took them snorkelling them on the reef & even went with us into town to help us shop. From the food to the staff to the sunsets- everything was very pleasant. Best of all, the staff all take the time to greet you personally..we said a lot of BULAS;)
The breakfast buffet were huge & delicious..lunches & dinners were off the menu. They only have one restaurant called Big Foot Grill at the resort, but we enjoyed everything ordered during our 4 day stay. The food were delicious.
On Tuesday & Wednesday nights, they had sundowners on the beach & a crab racing night..guests were allowed to bid on & "win" crabs to race..after the race in which all crabs seem to just scuttle around rather than race..the proceeds were collected for a neighborhood school.

Our only complaint , if there was one was that there is ongoing construction at the resort. We were in garden bure 214, which was right next to where the workers mixed & prepared the cement etc for their work. So our afternoon naps were never very satisfying - as the noise was a contant distraction.
Our only recommendation would also to keep the wifi free..it was Fijian $10 for half an hour that had to be used up at one time after login. Or Fijian $80 for a 7 day pass. Not a huge amount of money, but would have been nice if it was free. That would have made a perfect place totally perfect!

Room Tip: The resort is small enough that every room is startegically located. Try to book an ocean front bure...
