“Great food and views”
Reviewed July 30, 2013

Sunset Bar had fantastic meals at reasonable prices (FJ$17 for a main). Pizza was half price on Tuesdays. The kids loved the playground; they could swing on the truck tyre while dinner was being cooked and the adults could enjoy a drink and the view.

“Amazing sunset views”
Reviewed June 29, 2013

We have spent many pleasant hours enjoying the sunset views from this casual bar/restaurant. It is located on a point where you can watch sailboats from around the world come and go.

The food is well-priced with lots of variety - with typical pub like food such as fish and chips, burgers and a variety of seafood specials and pizza's.

On Sunday afternoon they have a live bar and you can enjoy this while mingling with the many sailors who are always there since this is part of the Marina at Vuda Point.

Twice a week they play an outdoor movie, which is a unique and fun way to spend an evening.

They have their weekly "Thirsty Thursday" happy hour between 4 - 6 where you can get beer and wine for the equivant of $1.00 U.S. for beer and $2.00 U.S. for wine. This is always a lively and crowded time to enjoy the Boatshed.

Come as casual as you want...part of the restaurant is on a sand floor.

“Best fish n chips I have ever had”
Reviewed June 28, 2013

Only 15 mins away from Lautoka, we went there for Sunday lunch. They had live band playing which was not too loud. We tried their Pawpaw samosas, squid rings etc. Very nice but I must say that they make the best fish n chips.
Beer was nice n chilled. Though service was a bit slow but we enjoyed the scenery. A place not to be missed.

“Lovely place, lovely food”
Reviewed November 14, 2012

I had a day's layover in Fiji and was taken to this restaurant by a local. There was only one other table taken outside, so it was nice and quiet, and the view was gorgeous. We watched crabs and fish swimming below us while waiting for our food, which, when it arrived, was simple and delicious. I would definitely recommend this place for a peaceful lunch spot.

“Great food and unbeatable value”
Reviewed August 11, 2012

What a great find this restaurant is.

A short walk from First Landing through the marina it is open every day from 10 am. It has an all day menu with different specials at lunchtime and for dinner at night.

We ate there every day for lunch and thoroughly enjoyed every meal. Eating off both the all day menu and the daily specials we ate like kings for around FJ$16 each. Wonderful fish and chips, hamburgers, fish cakes and salad, Caesar salad and chargrilled fish with caper sauce and salad were all first class. But the best of all was the special seafood platter on our final Sunday. Fish on local fern, freshwater mussels with seaweed, octopus and a few other things all served with a different sauce. Absolutely delicious – I don’t think we’ve ever had a better value meal.

If the specials board is not out at lunchtime – do ask. They sometimes forget to put it out and it would be a pity to miss out as the specials are usually so good.

The Fiji beer was very reasonably priced compared with other places.

We ate at both the Sunset Bar and at the restaurant itself. I think the Sunset Bar is more of a bar in the evenings. We didn’t venture there at night as it might have been difficult navigating in the dark.

The staff were lovely. The service was a little slow but you’re in Fiji and there was plenty to look at in the marina while waiting.

We highly recommend this restaurant to those staying at First Landing or Anchorage Resorts as well as anyone visiting the marina. It makes a very pleasant change from eating in the same restaurant all the time. And the standard of the food, combined with its excellent value for money, make it an experience not to be missed.
