Owner description: Designed by John Sanford, a member of the American Society of Golf Course Architects, the course meets American and European architectural standards for golf courses. The gentle slopes of the fairways take full advantage of both sea and mountain views and the course offers an impressive 7100 yards between the 1st and 18th hole. The total course area cleverly spans the central section of the resort's overall property, linking the different hotels and beachfront. The course provides an exciting game with various rolling elevations ranging from 4 to 70 meters above sea level. With five sets of tees on each hole, players have ample opportunity to improve their game or abide by their actual handicap level. Three challenging lakes, as well as several sand bunkers, native desert areas, and elevated fairways will test players' abilities. Each hole has five sets of tees and three holes offering plays alongside the Red Sea waters.

Thank you for your review but sorry to hear the food was not to your liking. I will pass your comments to the Intercontinental Hotel who are contracted to offer golf course food services. Hope to see you back.

“Golf-lovers Paradise”
Reviewed December 16, 2012

A perfectly maintained course with facilities to match. You do have to watch your distances, however, if you don't want to be playing from desert-gravel!

Thank you for your response and lovely compliments. The golf course has been in 'perfect' condition all year. Your comment did make me laugh, no one likes missing fairway no matter if it is desert, rough or water :)

“Excellent course”
Reviewed November 21, 2012

We have just returned from a week's stay at Taba Heights, during our stay we played the golf course twice and thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were friendly and helpful and the practice facilities were excellent. The course itself is spectacular in its setting and immaculately maintained with very good greens and well placed bunkers. The 12th hole, in particular, is a joy to play with the view from its elevated tee towards the green nestling at the foot of the mountains one of the finest I have seen.
Our only criticism was the cost of the green fee, which at 75 euros a round, we felt was a little on the high side. The course was certainly not busy and we thought this reflected the high cost of the golf. Perhaps some cheaper offers would encourage more people to play or a link through the tour operators marketing Taba Heights as a specific winter golf break destination might attract more people to play this excellent course. Perhaps a two for one offer might encourage more people.
I feel that Taba Heights makes a really good destination for golf and we will probably return to play golf here in autumn or spring but dread to think what the temperatures would be like in the summer months.

Dear Sir

Thank you for taking the time to review the resort and it also gives me a chance to answer your valid points. We acknowledge your lovely comments about our helpful staff and fantastic golf course especially the condition. With regard to the green fee at 75 Euros (60UK Pounds) you failed to mention you also get a free cart with the green fee saving you approx 40 Euros in comparison to some courses in Spain, Portugal and UK courses. You also get free towels to use after a shower plus a free locker to use for your belongings. You are also experiencing Egypt’s number 1 golf courses and this is in part due to us (Golf Resort) spending over a Million Euros per year keeping it immaculate for you to enjoy, which is extremely good value. This course if it were in the UK would merit a 150Uk price tag per round. Compare this with other top courses with their prices e.g. 130UK green fee plus cart at 40UK per round (170UK total) so you can see 60UK is very cheap indeed. Due to this I categorically disagree with your opinion on the cost.
The course is not busy not in part due to cost but due to Egypt’s delicate situation with regard to mainly the Middle Eastern political situation and this did not reflect the cost as you hypothesised. We already work with Tour operators and I personally have given them deals to market, which if you were on their mailer you would receive e.g. you can purchase 7 rounds of golf for 326UK which is equivalent to 46UK per round, a fantastic deal! and this is an even better deal than you suggested of buy 2 get 1 free.
Golf here in autumn is 30-35 degrees but play morning or afternoon which is cooler if that helps you. Summer can reach 46 degrees and is extremely hot but we do get golfers albeit hardcore fanatics.
Thank you for the opportunity to provide you with my mainly objective managerial point of view.
