All,
We had a wonderful break at the Aqua Blu Resort Sharm from 29th December 2013 to 9th January 2014. The food was great and plentiful, we enjoyed excellent weather and the entertainment and water slides were superb.
On arrival we had to change rooms, as we were given a room with 2 single beds and no cot. This was rectify immediately to a king size bed with a cot for the little one – saved my marriage .
New Year’s Eve was a wonderful experience, a marquee around 150m x 100m was erected, with again excellent food, drink and entertainment.
Finally, all the staff were attentive, but the room/housekeeper for room 3108 (Hmdalla Ahmed) during our stay is singled out, and in my honest opinion should be taken up by management as a trainer for all future staff. He was the most attentive, confident and thorough person I have ever met at a hotel. Nothing was too much for him, and he did not single us out, he was like that with everyone. He made a wonderful holiday even better. Thank you.
Lovely place – would definitely go back.

Gerald

we stayed at this hotel 20 jan - 27th jan 2014...we are a couple and found the hotel really nice...the first room we were put in was room 21-- and we were not very happy with this room as we were supposed to get a garden/pool room but the view out of the window was just of a back street so we went down to reception and asked to be moved..the reception staff were quite good about it and said if we came back at 1 the next day they would move us...we liked the room we were moved to which was room 5121,our cleaner was so lovely he couldn't speak much English but one thing that stood out was that he asked how we were and i told him i had been stung by a jellyfish and showed him all the sting marks on my arm...later on when we got back to the room he had laid out all different insect repellent sprays on the side for us ..as he thought it was from mosquito's,so that was really kind..and as we were leaving the hotel we had left some pictures behind and he chased us to give us them back,he was always so friendly and such a credit to the hotel...i don't really have anything bad to say about the hotel...there was a lot of fly's which were annoying when your trying to relax and eat ur meals but that will be the case with all of Egypt so cant blame the hotel for that...and it did get a bit tedious being asked if u want massages tattoos etc about 20 times a day when you've already declined but this is also the case with anywhere in Egypt,we did have a really lovely couples massage at the hotel spa which i would highly recommend...it was called the Adam and eve where you are in a private room and get the full works scrub, sauna steam Jacuzzi facial reflexology and massage all lasting about 2 and half hours was amazinggg felt so refreshed afterwards..the food was ok...there is always something to eat,out of the 3 hotels iv visited in Egypt this would be my second choice based on food...one good thing was that there was always somewhere open for food at all times of the day so your not restricted.the hotel grounds are beautiful..i was impressed with how clean all the public toilets were as other hotels have been pretty gross..there's a coffee bar with really nice comfy seating and the lattes and frappes were almost as nice as Starbucks which was a nice addition to the all inclusive which i haven't had at any other hotel...all the staff were really nice...i had a pizza at the mac restaurant in the day and asked the man if i could have some hot sauce on my pizza and he went out of his way to get some fresh chilies and chopped them up for me to have...they really cant do enough for you..this holiday would have been perfect but on the Thursday it took a bad turn...we went on a snorkeling trip to raj mohammed WARNINGGGG...there are jellyfish in the sea that sting you...as much as they try to tell you there aren't...i would advise to wear a full wet suit if you are going snorkeling i wouldn't want anyone's holiday to be ruined like ours was...we were on the vip cruise to raj mohammed it was a nice trip food was good and crew were nice but one of the instructors who go with you snorkelling was very unprofessional...we got told to stay with the group and as i was swimming along i felt a sharp burning pain in my leg...i instantly knew i had been stung i told the instructor and he looked under the water and said there was nothing there and i said was in pain and i had...i wanted to go back but feared leaving the group..HE SHOULD HAVE TAKEN ME BACK but instead i was made to feel like i was lying ..i went on and got stung numerous more times...when i got back to the boat my arms were red and you could see the marks of the stings ..they put a spray on for me but i got no apologies...they also gave me no advice about the fact they would get worse and i would need medical treatment it was just brushed under the carpet...the doctors at the hotel were amazing they looked after me so well...i had to have injections everyday which wasn't pleasant and made me very tired but it stopped the unbearable itching and made the stings go down tremendously...god knows where i would have been without the doctors...thank you aqua blu for a lovely holiday its just a shame the raj mohammed trip ruined it for us....p.s the beach at the sister hotel is stunning one of the best stretches iv seen in sharm :) (free shuttle every half hour about 5-10 min walk )

Transfer was waiting at airport. The staff at airport were insisting on us getting a visa but we didn't and we were told later by the rep it's only needed if you travel to other cities and not locally and can be obtained easily for £10. Once we got to the resort the paperwork was done and we were assisted to room. Out luggage was brought to room too. We were told there is a meeting in morning. The rep was excellent told us all the do's and don'ts. He advised us well throughout our stay. The excursions were well planned. We took part in snorkelling, and the fun day which consisted of quads, camels and water sports. We also went on the glass boat. We went to the Red Sea - breath is so close to the resort and there is a shuttle which goes from hotel. Old town wasn't far by foot and to go to Soho there was a shuttle from hotel. The resort was excellent as it has the water slides and entertainment at night. The food and drink was unlimited and one is definitely spoilt for choice. This is the first holiday were I took part in water sports and I loved it considering I don't swim. It was better than I expected and would go again. The staff were amazing and very helpful. I don't think there is anything which I was disappointed with. I have recommended this to everyone especially families with children.

This hotel has the wow factor. As any parent knows this was a special holiday and we needed a good holiday. From the first sight of the entrance with its ornate domes it started well . After a quick book in by friendly staff we were taken to our room 4115 back left side of resort we were taken by a porter to our room with no hassle for tips and shown into a large ground floor apartment with large bathroom and double room with separate bedroom with bunk bed and sofa bed lading on to a small but lovely balcony. We were then given instructions for free safe and shown phone and numbers if anything was needed.there was fresh towels and 4 beach towels and told to put dirty towels in shower when fresh towel needed. I gave the porter £10 Egyptian which is 90p. Now the holiday could start. The hotel has lots of pools a aqua park with bars and restaurants doted about the hotel. It takes a day to see it all and get your bearings. We found a nice pool near the lagoon bar were a waiter serves you to your sunbed for no tip unless you want or you could sit in the shade if it gets too hot. There is a jacuzzi where you can relax. All pools have a life guard and is suitable for adults and kids.this pool is the quietest although none of the pools were busy except near slides or wavepool. The restaurants are of good standard for Buffett and food was hot and fresh each day with something for even the fussy eater which I am. The main dinning area gets the busiest but only first thing for breakfast this is when the Russians eat and they don't believe in manners but you soon learn to give as good back and we found it entertaining . There is several bars and a coffee lounge where the staff are so friendly and fun. And all were willing and happy to bring your drinks to you without tipping. We did tip here and there but only when we wanted and the waiters were all great tip or no tip. If you fancy a shisha pipe these cost £3 sterling which is great for hour relaxation under the moon outside the bar. Smoking is allowed but indoors are air conditioned so it wasn't bad. We met lots of friends and will defo go back. This hotel has something for everbody young and old.

We stayed at Aqua Blu from 12/1/14 for 2 weeks. We were a couple and found the hotel to be very good, about 70% of the guests were Russian a few were a bit rude but no big deal. However one small moan is that there seems to be no security personnel to stop the drunks from being noisy, especially at night.

Another bit of constructive criticism is that smokers dominate the bars and coffee shops, the only areas for non smokers were the restaurants and the bar near reception although with no signs some people still lit up there. Perhaps if one of the coffee bars was smoke free it would be nice.

Plus points now, hotel very clean, good food, location is OK 20 min walk from old market and cheap taxi ride away from Narma Bay, plenty of swimming pools at least one was heated plus smaller pools if you wanted peace and quiet. Beach at sister hotel OK with fish close to shore.

This was our ninth time to Egypt and we would not hesitate to return to this Hotel.

My family & I just returned from 2 weeks staying @ the Aqua Blue Sharm Jan 9th to 23rd, the hotel is absolutely fantastic, after reading the reviews before we went I was quite sceptical, don't listen to all the negative reviews the staff from cleaners all the way to top management are fantastic and really can't do enough for you. There is plenty of food to choose from in a variety of restaurants. Aqua park is amazing hours of fun the adults & kids. When booking if you can choose which room you would like book a water bungalow they are amazing.

Room Tip: Water Bungalows are fab and close to everything.

Me and my BF just got back from a week at the Aqua Blu Sharm.

This hotel is a great hotel and will definitely be going back! The waterpark at the hotel is sooooo much fun and the slides are very good! Such a good place for families but also a fun holiday even just for us two.

The food is great lots of variety. The staff was the best bit at this hotel as they was all so friendly, helpful and chatty and wanted to cater for your every need.

Only slight consideration was the wifi, as it says it's free in one of the cafes between 6pm and midnight but we logged on to it and it was sooooo slow couldn't do anything, but this wasn't necessarily a bad thing as was quite nice not being able to check emails etc while on holiday!
The Champions pub outside the hotel has free wifi though so you can just buy a drink in there and the wifi was pretty good.

One other tip - the hotel taxi charges quite a lot to get down to Narma Bay beach (60 egyptian pounds) but if you go outside the hotel you can negotiate cheaper prices (30-40 egyptian pounds).

Also there is a nice sport bar in the hotel that shows all of the premier league/FA cup matches - so my BF was happy!
