A terrible, terrible hotel.
The hotel requires a complete refurbishment.
The food is poor and totally repetitive, the entertainment is non existant and in addition at the pool you will be hassled every five minutes to have a massage. Check in and check out was a nightmare. In the end I was charged £15 for a towel that the pool boy had picked up while I left it unattended. There is no arguing with these people because when I tried three security staff started shouting and pushing me around. Without a doubt the worst place ever!

we stayed at this hotel from the 22nd April till the 6th May check in was fast and we were upgraded to an executive suite which was huge and cleaned every day by a lovely young man, with excellent manners ,there are 3 places to eat with the A/I the restaurant which is buffet themed each night but it does get a bit samey food here can be warm to cold in fairness to the staff people leave the containers open quite a lot there is plenty of choice and at breakfast time if you want fried eggs or scrambled just go up and ask they will do it, also if you want an omelette you can go to the cold meat section and get some meat or extra cheese and have that added no problem, waiting staff lovely we had emad every day he would make our tea prepare a special coffee for my partner nothing too much trouble even taught us some arabic words never found any member of staff to be anything but helpful pleasant and polite no one looking for tips but if you gave them a little they very much appreciated it and showed it ,the pool bar is where you get your drinks when sunbathing and lunch is also served here they have a menu each day which you can pick one thing off ,waiter served and always piping hot i also noticed good hygiene practices here plenty of hand washing and if you like a cup of tea this is the place to come and have one in a nice cup and saucer, lastly the beach bar again waiter served always hot the menu here doesnt change unless you have something off the to pay for menu spag bol here very nice thats A/I the beach it self is very nice but there is a lot of steps down, someone said there was a shark here but it wasnt it was a manta ray and also 2 dolphins came in i was here and saw this with my own eyes the snorkeling is amazing and the beach makes a lovely day,in all we had a lovely time to be honest i picked the phone up a couple of times to change hotels after reading some of the reviews but we are so glad we didnt no its not uk 5* but you should realise that by the price, in all we had a wonderful time met some lovely people had no problems with anyone from reception to gardeners all beautiful happy people thank you for making our stay so enjoyable we would return and recommend to others your staff are a credit to you Mr Khalid, one thing i would advise you get a microwave in the main restaurant so people have the choice to heat up there food, and sort the bottled water issue out, there is evening entertainment its the same the world over you like it or hate it, food from room service very good ,thai restaurant was quite nice cost us about £27.00 and finally mostly british holiday makers with some arab countries and a few russians go and enjoy

Room Tip: block 41 close to everything but still nice and quiet, bring thermal mug keep drinks cold, also be a...

Me and my hubby have just returned from a weeks stay at the Jolie Ville and had a lovely relaxing holiday. The rooms are huge with excellent air con. The whole complex is very spacious and clean with ample sun beds around an impressive pool. Not the best all inclusive we've experienced but we always found something to eat. Also, a bit disappointed that not all areas were all inclusive. I think bottles of water should be included. The free shuttle service to the beach and naam bay was very well organised. Overall, would definitely return and recommend if you want a relaxing week. I must also say how friendly and accommodating all the staff were.

...this was what said to us at least once a day. Not what i was expecting when i booked a 5star all inclusive resort.
We arrived at 11.30pm, hungry and tired. We asked if we could get any food to be told that we had to order room service which 'is not included in package!'...not the best first impression.
We spent 2 days at hotel during the week we were there because there was genuinly not a very welcoming atmosphere. All drinks were served in plastic cups, we dared to ask for glasses when dining to which we would be snapped back with 'you have to drink in here!'. The all inclusive menus at pool and beach bar dictated that you can only have 1 choice of starter or main per person...i do a lot of training and have big appetite, 2 slices of tomato and cheese aint going satisfy me...however if you asked for non all inclusive menu the food was gorgeous. I then noticed that the cheapest items on this menu made up the all inclusive menu...didnt seem fair if you have paid good money to go all inclusive at a supposedly 5 star resort.
No entertainment at night.
Poor selection of cocktails so decided to try the windsor bar which is 'not included in package' which we knew but wanted to enjoy a decent drink out of a glass. We stood and waited for someone to serve us, after 10 minutes a gentlemen appeared and looked annoyed that we had disturbed him and the first thing he said was 'you have to pay for drinks in here'...ha ha rude!!!
On our last day, we were due to be picked up for our flight at 19:30, we didnt want to spend the day at the hotel so checked out early and spent the day at the beach. There was no 'thank you for your stay', they just cut off our wristbands and told us to pay for food and drinks for the rest of the day. Overall, i was made to feel a bit of a nuisance...but if this was a 3 star i would have accepted all of these niggles. After talking to another couple, staying at the savoy is the way forward...all inclusive there means you can eat or drink anywhere in soho square for free.
I give 2 stars one for room and hotel grounds and one for beach area...snorkling was awesome.

Stayed here with my wife and two boys (aged 16 and 12) from 14-24 August 2013. It is a lovely hotel. No fighting for sunbeds. We went all inclusive. I really do not know what other people expect but there was a good variety every day! From burgers to Thai curries to the Roast beef! Every night was a different theme in the restaurant. The staff in the restaurant are extremely busy but very helpful and attentive. None of us got the dreaded 'tummy upset' which was a bonus as you hear of people getting this but you can't go on holiday in fear of getting an upset stomach I mean it can happen anywhere really. Everything in this hotel is clean and the staff work hard to maintain the grounds. The management of this hotel were very helpful and the Thai Spa is great! The gym is ultra modern. When all inclusive you have a 'free' meal at the Italian. Do use this as the Italian restaurant was lovely. We also went to the Thai restaurant a couple of times (you do get a credit towards your bill). It wasnt expensive and the food was gorgeous! If you want a hotel on the beach then I suggest you book a hotel on the beach front. This hotel has a complimentary bus to their private beach - it is about 5 mins on the bus. We used this service and it was fine. I would recommend this hotel to anyone as it was lovely! We upgraded our superior room to an executive one and it was well worth the upgrade. It was roughly £10 per night to upgrade.

Room Tip: If you do want to upgrade the do it upon arrival as it costs a LOT less than doing so when booking a...

Room nice and big, food was just as I expected in a all inclusive, must be very hard to please everyone,i think the hotel would do better using halogen lamps to keep food hot rather then closed servers where food goes cold and soggy, and please have a age limit regarding children helping themselves to food,i watched as they stuck their hands into food then put it back and picked up something else, they left the dessert section looking like a war zone,it would have been nice to have had wine at anytime rather then just with meals,we felt that you were neglected concerning anything to do with our holiday unless you tipped, more so with our room.
We found it disgusting when eating at the beach you were asked to keep your knife and fork after eating your meal for the second course, what is the cost of having a clean set,but the food was really nice, the drinking bottled water is a pain having to refill each time at the machine, and having to go to reception for new key cards because they will not open doors, they know its the locks that are faulty but blame you for bringing the card into contact with your mobile that then affects the magnetic strip on the key card,i am sure that does happen, but my mobile was in the UK,it might sound petty to some, but when you have done it for the tenth time on a very, very hot day and walked a very long way it wears you down.
I presume that the general manager will reply to this review as he has to many others, thanking them for booking with his hotel and will change things, but the truth is,you can go back over a year on trip adviser and read the same complaints and the promise of rectifying them, but to be fair to the manager, maybe his hands are tied, whatever,it does not help the holiday maker who has spent his/hers hard earned money
