Arriving at the hotel on my Birthday, we were looking forward to dinner at one of the 4 restaurants. However, we were told that all inclusive dinners and breakfast were served in the main dining room- where the food was inedible for 4 of the 7 nights we were there. Such a disappointment, we ended up going out to eat and drink in the evenings. If you fancy a week of living off bread and cake, this is the place to come! It's good for the dieters out there anyway!
The room itself in was very large and clean- and we learnt very early on that if you wanted clean-ish towels daily, that you should leave them on the floor, not hanging anywhere else! Two days we had towels with someone elses bright red lipstick on them, which was a little upsetting!
The 'beach', reached by the free shuttle bus, is tiny, grotty and not worth visiting, unless you like to swim in the sea.
We've stayed in several places in Sharm before, and they were definately a lot more interesting, with better food and entertainment (laughable at the Maritim)- and should we return to Sharm, then we would stay there instead.

This is my second visit to Sharm and things do change in 5 years.
We had stayed at this hotel for a week and their are some good points and some bad points:

Good points:
Very good facilities for gym and tennis facilities.
Good pool bar and good food
Wifi in reception area only but good connection
Will I am from entertainment keeps you entertained and Olla tries hard to beat you at table tennis.
Breakfast is very nice and fresh omelettes.
Very good shops in hotel and good prices. Do visit the bag and perfume shop as you will be spoilt with bag choices.
Nice big comfortable beds

Bad points:
I have to start on the mosquito problem throughout the hotel.
We had stayed in room 4615 and the mosquito killer buggy never came near our room and we all had been attacked by mosquitos throughout the day.My brother had total 60 bites and counting and this is a seroius problem at this hotel as you can never sit in peace without getting bit.
The restuarant is themed but very repititive and same taste all the time.
Their is also lack of communication issues as staff can not fully understand what you are saying as sometimes you have to explain in a very long detail for them to undertsand what you are fully saying.
Note that restaurant area from room 4615 was a long walk espicially find it hard at night times.

This hotel is very good in certain ways but i would not rate 5 stars maybe a 4 star at most.
The mosquito issue is a very big problem and I am sure the management will advise they will look into it : )

We stayed for two weeks fom 16th Feb -2nd March and overall had a great stay, however a couple of issues cast a slight shadow over this. First of all and the main issue for us was the food choice in the buffet restaurant, particularly in the evenings. Although every night was a different theme the food never seemed to correspond to that theme and was pretty much the same stuff the whole time. The actual food itself was ok but not particularly anything to rave about. Desserts were almost the same every night, mousse type cakes and sponge cakes....ice cream would have been a nice option to have. The Italian restaurant food was lovely (though not all inclusive) and the beach bar and pool bar food was great for a change too. The second negative point was housekeeping in our room. The room itself was beautiful and enormous and clean on arrival but don't think it was cleaned particularly well throughout our stay, there was a build up of hairs and dust gathering on floors and toilet area not particularly well cleaned either. We were on the ground floor so didn't have a balcony, which I missed for using to dry wet clothes etc however we did have two big chairs and a small table outside at the front door if we wanted to sit out.
Onto the positives now...firstly and mainly the Animation team really made our holiday great! In particular Yankee, Ola, Ash and Will I Am....the enthusiasm and energy these guys have got is amazing, they really put their all into what they do and are a real credit to the hotel! They work so hard morning, noon and night entertaining guests and getting them involved without being pushy or annoying, infact their enthusiasm was catching and we had a great time because of them. My boyfriend had an on going challenge to beat Ola at table tennis (she was very good) and finally succeeded on the final day (though I think she let him win!)
The pool area was immaculately clean as was the pool and the beach was lovely too and the toilets at both were always spotless. The hotel grounds were stunning and very well kept with beautiful colourful flowers.
We would definitely consider going back if more food options were available for a wider range of people.

We have booked to come with our 2 children aged 2 and 5 for 3 weeks in August in an executive pool view room can any one please tell us are these rooms ground floor our travel agent couldn't tell us and with having young children we would prefer ground floor

Absolutely fantastic. Hotel staff extremely friend, nothing wasn't two much effort. Food, variety of food. Rooms cleaned every day. Gardens & pool lovely. i arrive to the hotel tomorrow evening and me and my partner are staying for 3 nights. i have phoned the hotel few times to make some arrangements and they have been incredibly helpful!! i am very excited after reading all the reviews and cant wait to see what the hotel has got for us. will post as soon as im back!

Just returned from another stay at this hotel. Very impressed that many of the staff were still there from our last visit (a year last November), and recognised us. We were also very pleased that we were given room 4111, the same room we had on our first visit. Everything was still to the same high standard, pool area, gardens, restaurants and rooms. There did seem to be a little less choice of food, but still plenty of good quality warm food available, this may have been down to the hotel being a little more quieter, so understandable that there was less choice. We are already looking forward to our next visit. Only a couple of small improvements that could be made to this wonderful hotel is to re-instate the Wi-Fi in the Piano Bar/Pool area and supply more than one bottle of mineral water per stay. Otherwise well done to you all again, hope to see you all in November. John and Ann.

Room Tip: Rooms are massive, so check your room before asking for an upgrade, you may not need one.
