Would highly reccommend for families with kids, Stayed for 2 wks, from 2nd Jan, with hubby, a 9 year old and a 6 year old who has coeliac disease. Brilliant place, great food and catered for my son, , friendly staff, had a kids den room, kids loved the reps and i5, think the reps were cream of the crop as their enthusiasm with the entertainment was brill. The only heated pool is the quiet pool or the indoor spa pool, we took wet suits for our kids which worked and also they were protected from sun,
i ventured out the resort this time and went to Soho Square, great for ladies who like fake designer handbags, purses etc, u dont get hassled but u can barter!
All of us love the holiday village at this time of year so very sad to see that the kids clubs which my kids loved and we did (gave me n hubby 1–2 hours off to lounge in sun) wont be running in winter 2013, such a shame!!!

Room Tip: Block 5 is too near disco next door, we liked block 10, kids den room, worth paying extra,

Stayed at the first choice holiday village in sharm for a week from sept 25, 2012, room was spotless clean when we arrived, and kept the standard through the week. All the hotel staff work really hard and will do anything to help you. Buffet restaurant was great, with loads of choice, a la carte restaurants worth a visit, especially the fish a la carte, which you do have to pay, but well worth it. Snack bar by main pool, well we found food only Luke warm, and not much choice, better off eating at the main buffet. Overall really enjoyed the holiday, and would prob return again in future.

My husband and I went to the Holiday Village e had Sharm 30/12/12 to 6/1/13 for 1 week.

NEW YEARS EVE GALA
I cant say enough about the New Years Eve gala. They had a huge marquee set up on the beach. We were greeted by all the management and staff and entertainners. When we walked in the marquee it took my breath away, it was amazing. Never seen anything as nice and well organised. The food was gorgeous and the staff worked so hard. I cant really say much about the entertainment as we were at the back of the marquee and was talking with friends so we didnt watch it. It was a fantanstic night and the staff and Management put on an amazing night for all their guests.

ROOM
We booked a swim up room as I had read that this resort was a very busy family resort and we wanted a bit of peace and quiet. We asked for block 13 which is the sunny block. The sun stays on this block from morning until mid afternoon. We were given the block we asked for and was happy with this. The room is very big with a brilliant walk in wardrobe. The room was cleaned everyday and we had a lovely pleasant cleaner who couldnt do enough for us. There is a waiter who comes along the swim up pool 3-4 times a day with drinks. The water is freezing and I only went in once for pictures. It was still nice to have the pool to lie at even though we didnt use it the quiet as the pool was very loud and rowdy with the kids. We were lucky enough to have great next door neighbours who we made friends with and chilled out with at the pool. I would defianlty recommend the swim up rooms without a doubt.

BARS
There is a huge entertainment room/bar where all the kids shows go on and stuff. We didnt actually go in here as it is all kid related. There is the lobby bar which is part of the reception area where the kids would just run wild around so we only sat in there a couple of times at the back. There is an adults only bar called the view which is above the retsaurants near the beach. This bar was very quiet and they had a nightly quiz at 9pm. I think they could do more to put on some nice entertainment on for adults as it was really boring, but at least it was adults only.

RESTAURANTS
There are 6 restaurants in total. The main buffet is chaos, reminds me of a cattle market. The annoying thing is you have to wait in a queue while they seat you. I dont understand why you cant seat yourself like in every other AI resorts. The food was ok. There is something for everyone but nothing to rave about though. Thank fully the other restaurants were all nice.
There are 3 restaurants you can book as part of your AI. You get given tokens when you arrive. The chinese was lovely...we didnt do the Indian....The Mediteranian was also lovely. We also went to the Stone Grill which was amazing. You do pay for this but it is really reasonable and worth every penny. We also did the fish restaurant on the beach which you also pay for and this was very nice as well. There is an adults only breakfast restaurant and this was brilliant. So quiet and peaceful and hardly anyone in there. There is an omelette station and the usual hot and cold buffet

POOLS
We didnt use the pools as they were so busy. There is a quiet pool but its not quiet as this is the only heated pool so it is full of kids on huge inflatables. The pool at the front of the beach was quieter but i think that is because the water was so cold.

The first choice reps did seem to work hard. They were around all the time where ever you went but again this was for the kids not adults.

Overall I would recommend this hotel 100% for familys. We travelled as a couple and you can still have your own space if you wanted to but it is all based around children as it is a Holiday Village. I dont really have any complaints aprt from the chaos at the main buffet and the lack of Entertainment for adults.

Room Tip: Get a swim up room, its worth the extra. Sunny block is 13 and 9.

great resort but very isolated, if you want to go to the local town nama bay expect to pay top taxi prices, the hotel is located just off the beach but in a very isolated area no shops near by so you are stuck in the resort! BUT they do a good job at keeping you happy ish if your happy sitting around all day, pool are is cramped and you fight for a sunbed in the morning.
meals are better than expected for egypt
ala carte poor quality stick to the buffet
gravel beach not sand
nightly entertainment is outside and after a day in the sun you would like / expect some air conditioning so not nice to sit in
few kiddy slides are ok
good spa but not worth the money as they dont really know what they are doing buy hey im on holiday

sports bar was ok cool and all inclusive

i stayed at raddison park in water park and that was a dump compared to this place but was half the price

We spent 16-26th December at Coral Sea Holiday Village, weather was fab it went dark early though about 4.30ish.
Flight was fine, not too many people on it so plenty of seats, quick transfer to the hotel, but I think next time I would just get a cab soooo much quicker!
A warm welcome on arrival at the hotel, and your bags are dleivered to your room.
We had block 7, our cleaner Mohamed was fab, he left me flowers towel art etc, and always asked was everything okay in our room! My one complaint about this room was the shower it had no power whatsoever and took about twenty minutes to get hot.
Great big bed, walk in wardrobe, slippers and dressing gowns and a kettle.
Our barmen Yanni in the adult bar remembered us from last time, great guys in there nothing too much trouble.
Food was excellent, piping hot and sooooo much choice, great salad bar, pasta station. We did go to the Indian and the Med, the med was fab, I had a steak with pepper sauce cooked to perfection.
I felt as though when we went out of the complex we didnt get as much hassle as last time, maybe they are learning!!!!!
The supermarket to the right about a five minute walk.... so cheap we bought big bottles of fanta and crisps all about 30p each!
We did venture out to the bar on the left as you come out of the complex, had a pleasant evening the people who owned it where very pleasant. Although I must admit how they kept smiling with some of the rude customers I will never know!
So this is my third visit to the HV and I would like to try somewhere else but I know exactly what I am getting here for my winter break and would hate to be disappointed going elsewhere........ so I'll be back

Just back from a week at HV . We had a swim up pool room which was huge and kept very clean. We would sit outside the room in the afternoon and would get drinks and ice creams brought to us :( The pool was very cold and we only managed to get in once! Would still recommend the rooms though.
We used the adult only breakfast which had everything you could have needed . We did go to the 3 a la carte restaurants. The Mediteraenian and the Indian were the best in our opinion as the chinese was very salty. The only criticism would be that we were very rushed..the staff seemed to want to get us out as soon as they could!.. The buffet restaurant always had someting you could eat ..some days better than others but that is to be expected.
We went to the beach every day which was very clean and also had Hermina who would come round taking our drinks order..The sea was very cold and had no reef so we didn't get to see many fish.
We did not participate in any of the entertainment, we were happy to sit in the Sports bar in the evening where we were very well looked after by Mahmoud and Michael.
All in all a good experience..the staff couldn't do enough for you and always had a smile.

Room Tip: We had a swim up pool 9102..which had the sun most of the day

We stayed here again 13jan2013 for one week, and it really is a pleasure going back, everybody yes everybody,in this hotel works to make sure your every need is catered for, nothing is to much trouble and everyone does it with a smile on there face all the time.we stayed in a swim up room in block 13 the room was spotless clean and spacious ,the room man looked after our every need I thought this block got the best of the sun. The food in the main hall is always cooked very well, always different and well presented, there are three al a carte restaurants in resort you visit these once each during your week and that's in your all inc allowance, the Chinese, and Indian are great but the mediteranian was our favourite, the manager here is first class and our waiter AMHED,was fantastic.above these restaurants is the adult bar good bit of entertainment ,lovely surroundings ,and a roof top terrace to enjoy your evenings and again service with a smile (watch out for the red wine ) there is a sports bar ,pool bar, beach bar, reception bar, family entertainment bar,we found all the drinks in all bars easily drank and plentiful,a small tip earlydoors each evening ensures your glass is never empty and you don't have to leave your seat , it's not a must just the Egyptian culture.the beach here is fantastic free sun beds, and parasols if needed. The reps work hard to keep kids out of your hair for a time each day and all staff interact with the kids and genuinely enjoy it.(oh and so does shrek.)all grounds and in buildings are spotless and kept that way all of the time,if you are a traveling family, young couple or grandparents this is the place to go ,it's a fantastic hotel ,oh and if you drink a bit to much one night there's a huge security chap to get you home (thanks lol) a big thanks to everyone at the coral Red Sea village resort well done , your why we keep coming back.

Room Tip: Swim up room for more privacy but water very cold
