The food is bland , all inclusive wine was warm and well just awful really no way is this hotel five star probably ok for anyone used to taking their hols at colditz but certainly not worth the money, the rooms were shabby and the bathroom was like a cell with tatty grey threadbare towels and no toiletries (we had half a bottle of shower gel left over from the previous people) most of th staff are ok but one or two of the waiters were a far too friendly !!! my 2nd visit to Egypt and can say for sure that wont be going back just far too much hassle from street vendors etc

Stayed at the Reef Oasis for a week at the end of April and everything was fantastic, I could not recommend it enough.

Location: Amazing, looking out over the seafront, a short ride from the airport and a short bus ride to Nama Bay.

Service: Every single member of staff was friendly, welcoming and attentive. Working hard night and day, nothing was too much.

Facilities: A large beach with plenty of sunbeds and a lovely terrace with jacuzzis and more sunbeds. An adult only pool, excellent idea, idilic and quiet. A kids pool with slides and entertainment, well set out so the noise is contained in the location. A sea view pool with infinity edge overlooking the bay. Amazing.

We booked a junior suite, room not that different from a deluxe room other than a bigger bathroom and walk in wardrobe. Balcony a bit small, given it were a suite, but not much time spent in room so forgivable. Breakfast in fish restaurant was beautiful (The buffet restaurant is chaos) and intimate and well worth the upgrade cost alone.

Thalasso spa is lovely, recommend a treatment (Suite users get a free massage).

Entertainment is dreadful and quite loud too but if you don't like it don't go, sit in the caribbean bar and have a drink looking out to sea instead.

We're both EXTREMELY picky people and even we found it hard to find a fault so it must be good!

We're definalty going back in October.

This hotel is amazing and would recommend to everyone, i don't know how you could not have a good time here. It is a perfect place to enjoy the red sea (private beach) with lots of watersports- paragliding/banana boating/speed boats/snorkelling/glass bottom boats/jet skiing etc. The grounds are massive, lots of trees/plants/flowers very beautiful. There are lots of swimming pools- an adult only one, a infinity pool, kids pool, jacuzzis and another heated one. All are great but we generally stayed by the infinity one overlooking the sea.

You will never go hungry the food is fine as there is plenty of choice-6 restaurants in fact. One of these serves food 24hours so anytime you want to eat they are ready for you. I have to recommend the seafood one i had the grilled salmon which was beautiful and my boyfriend had the seabass which he really enjoyed. We never got bad tummies (pharoahs revenge) best thing to do is always bring some immodium, but we ever needed this any how. A good tip is to bring some anti bacterial spray with you after handling any money/going to the toilet etc it seemed to work.

Drinks are plenty, you will never go thirsty. Nice wine, beer and lots of cocktails alcoholic and non alcoholic. Before you finish your drink the waiters will already be there with your next. Service is fantastic, they all work very hard in the hotel to make sure you have a great experience. You are also provided with a free mini fridge full of soft drinks everyday which is very handy.

Location is great, ten minutes away from airport and also from naama bay. The hotel offers a FREE shuttle bus to Naama at 6pm in the evening and picks you up at 8:30 pm-we did this but are advised to book a day in advance as the bus gets full up quite quickly. If you want to get a taxi you can and will cost you about 40 egyptian pounds which works out just under £5. We did a couple of excursions with SHARM CLUB who we booked with before we left the UK and got picked up from the hotel for all of these.

The rooms were very spacious and had everything you needed-shower/toilet/double bed/hairdryer/television/balcony. It was cleaned everyday to an excellent standard. Good quality bed linen and pillows were great we had about seven!!

The people in egypt are very friendly and hospitable but you do occasionally get hassled and people do seem to expect tips even for handing you a sheet of toilet roll (bring your own it is sometimes not always available out of the hotel) especially in Naama you will get hassled but just take it for what it is. A stern 'no thanks' will do fine.

Great value for money paid £650 one week all inclusive and would definately go back, this hotel made it so fantastic there was so much we packed in and still so much more to do. If you have booked up have a great time you wont regret it!!!

A bit of a carry on at Sharma airport on arrival to get visa before getting through customs what with several UK flights all arriving at the same time. Once out of the airport Thomson's were well organised and transfer to Reef Oasis Blue Bay was pretty swift (approx 10-15mins). Reception area gave us a good impression of the rest of the hotel ie plush & massively air conditioned.

Hotel is set over a large complex and all accommodation is set in small two storey blocks surrounded by pools, gardens and pleasant walkways. We had a large standard room at the back of the complex with a large balcony overlooking some fountains. Bathroom was large and clean with a walk in shower (no bath) and mini bar restocked every day.

Food - Good options for an all inclusive resort including large buffet style restaurant (breakfast & evenings), BBQ restaurant (by main pool), Oceana restaurant (down by the beach overlooking the sea ~ lunch) and a couple of other snack bars near pools and on the beach. There is also an Italian & Seafood Restaurant which need booking at reception the day before ~ service at the Seafood was not great. Quality of food was good, plenty choice and lots of waiters to serve drinks. Plenty of places to get drinks and it also had a Caribbean Bar (with small dance floor) and an impressive Sports Bar with lots of TV screens ... both overlooking the main pool and out to sea.

Pools - Relax Pool (adults only), Leisure pool (slides etc for kids ~ popular with families) Dive pool (used for diving courses etc) and Main pool (my favourite with exceptional views out to see). Not one day when we struggled to get sunbeds and we never made a point of getting up early to grb the best beds.

Beach - manmade beach with limited access to the sea so not great for young kids who like the sea. Due to large reef the main access to sea is via a pontoon/jetty which was always busy with people snorkelling/diving (I loved it!) Beach is large with plenty of sunloungers ....quieter area was left of the Oceana Restaurant
*NB* There is a dive club if you want to get your PADI qualification but we stuck to snorkelling

Spa - very impressive but we didn't make any use of it (Fantastic views from the tread mills and spa pools)

Wouldn't have any hesitation in recommending Reef Oasis Blue Bay for a great, relaxing holiday. Suggest chose different location if you want to do lots of Egyptian sight seeing

First time visit to Sharm and couldn't have picked a better resort. This place has everything, great beach with it's own reef, pools to suit every taste and a great selection of places to eat. Both the Italian and Seafood restaurants are well worth making a reservation for and breakfast at the beach front restaurant is a must.
The staff at the resort were some of the most friendly and helpful i've ever met and it made us feel very special with the kindness they showed to us during our stay.
We only left the resort twice during the whole week, that's how much we enjoyed ourselves. We are both already looking forward to a return visit.
