“BEST HOTEL IN SHARM”
Reviewed May 13, 2012

This is our 3rd visit since April last year and we can not fault the hotel in any way. From the moment you walk into the Reception, you are treated like an old friend and are made to feel like this is a home from home. Our room was perfect, the food was excellent, as was the weather and service at all times. We were both ill on holiday, nothing to do with the hotel, but I cant fault the care and assistance we were given and to be honest, we couldnt have been ill in a better place!!! A HUGE Thank you To Donna who works in the hotel and had only been there for just a couple of weeks, she took all my worries away from me and just sorted everything out to ensure that we had a stress free trip home. She certainly is an asset to the hotel and although all the staff are excellent - she is defiantely a member of staff that they need to keep.
Will we go back, well, we are now sorting out to return in October and November this year and will definately be returning for more than one visit next year. The only small niggle that we had this year was that the Bay View restaurant wasnt opened for lunch but I dont know it this was temporary or not. Hope so!!!!

This was our 3rd visit to ROBB and again, we had a fantastic time. Service was again, second to none and it was lovely to be welcomed back like an old friend.

As previously, we spent most of our days around the leisure pool as our children loved the slides and the kids club. We were looked after every day by Ibrahim for whom nothing was too much trouble - he would tell me off if I tried to put up the umbrella myself! The barmen there are also great and make sure everyone is served in turn, even the children who are often ignored by staff in other hotels.

Food was still good, with plenty of variety. Pizzas at Horizon Bar and Sea Breeze at lunchtime still fantastic. Other reviewers have mentioned the birds in the Sea Breeze and they did seem to be more prevalent this year and it can be off putting sometimes. Bay View was closed at lunchtime whilst we were there which I was disappointed about as sometimes it's nice to escape the heat and the sun. This may be due to the hotel not being at capacity. Kababgi is still our favourite restaurant despite service sometimes being a little slow. A special mention to Ahmed (SB at lunch, Bay View at dinner) who always made sure we were well looked after.

Our room was kept very clean and we had no problems on that score. Water replenished daily.

I have to mention the Reef Oasis Dive Club and Ayman, one of the instructors. My son (aged 8) undertook his bubblemakers course and then 3 shore dives, all with Ayman. Both my son and I were completely confident with Ayman and thought he was fantastic. My son has now been bitten by the diving bug - here begins a very expensive hobby!

We can't wait to come back again.

Just returned from 1 week's holiday here, cannot fault it in any way, the staff , the food , the rooms were just superb, my friend who came with me was very apprehensive about going to Sharm as her sister had been previously ( not sure which resort) and had told her that the food was awful and the people were very rude.....Well she was absolutely and completely WRONG, even the gardeners are polite and helpful, the cleaners , the bar staff just everyone was so nice, polite and helpful, OK yes it is part of their job BUT they do and really mean it here, Thomson's have a repeat business to this hotel of 70-80% and that really says it all.

Mohammed in the lobby bar and Ismail in the terrace bar looked after us all week along with their colleagues they made sure we had an enjoyable holiday, we will definitely be back to this hotel.

If I had to make an observation it would be that it would be nice to have hand sanitisers on the exits of the toilets and also on the entrances to the restaurants, it helps stop the transfer of any potential germs, we took our own but would have been nice to see them in the resort.

My friend and I booked a late deal here as we just wanted a week of relaxation in the sun and that's exactly what we got. I have never been all inclusive before so it was a different experience. Prior to going I had read some of the reviews re the local drinks not being very nice so we did buy some duty free on the way over. However I have to say when we did try the local drinks we found them to be really nice especially the cocktails. Our deal included an upgrade to a de luxe room and we were not disappointed, the room was kept immaculately clean and each day our towels were arranged in a different design on our beds which was really cute. The only down side was we had asked for a quiet room but our room was right by the local shps and the nightly entertainment stage. However the entertainment finished around 11.30 so we did not have any disturbed nights sleep although this may be different in the height of the season.

We tried every restaurant in the complex and particularly liked the Kababgi Restaurant which was an open air grill we ate there twice as we loved it so much the first time. We also tried the Italian which everyone seems to rave about but although it was nice I did not think it was anything special. We also ate in Le Romantique on the Tuesday evening. The food was fabulous however we were the only 2 dinners in the restaurant so despite the music there was no real ambience and the meal was really expensive £100 between the 2 of us as it was not part of the all inclusive deal (which we were aware of). Its a shame as it was a really nice restaurant so maybe it would be better to just offer a limited number of days to ensure there are more dinners?
For breakfast we mostly went to the Seabreeze as it overlooked the sea and there were always plenty of tables and the freshly made omelettes were gorgeous.

The beach was fabulous with an abundance of beds and fresh towels and the guys were always eager to take you to your beds and lay out the towels for you.

We went on one boat trip with Thomson which was called a VIP boat trip mainly because no children we allowed. It was a really nice day out although it would be helpful when stopping to pick up the snorkling gear that people are advised of the need for flippers and a wet suit as the current is really strong and the water is freezing!! But the food on the boat was fabulous and the crew were really friendly.

So all in all we had a fabulous time. Would definitely recommend the hotel.

Room Tip: Go for a high number as the lower numbers are near the entertainment, but close to the ameinities
