We arrived at reception after a long flight and we greeted nicely by reception, They upgraded us (we think) to a nicer room as i dont think the Hotel was full. Was a nice gesture from the staff.
There isnt many Brits at this hotel but to be honest that can be a good thing really (no chavs) It was mainly Italians who were nice enough and then Russians who are so grumpy its weird!! you cant get a smile out of any of them!! walked past loads on way to beach, restaurants, rooms and as you walk past someone you tend to smile and say hello. Obviously not in Russia!!
The accomodation is great, nice bathroom, decent TV, a fridge and a safe. (cleaner was a nice lad aswell)
Beach is different from the standard sandy beach but still very relaxing next to the sea, Snorkling is Quality if its not windy. Loads to see. Only downside is the jetty is tiny really and busy to get access to the sea.
Beach bar is good, pizza at 11.30 then lunch is served around 1pm.
The Inclusive Beer isnt great but then again it is free so cant complain too much i guess.
The Meals are decent too. Breakfast is pretty standard with a couple of Chefs making Omlettes and Eggs, other things on the buffet are things like Cereal, Crossiants, toast, scrambled egg etc. - Lunch is ok and Dinner is nice with BBQ every night at the main restaurant.
Going out of Hotel is always an Experience. Naama Bay was awful as soon as we got out of taxi!! Hasseled all the way to the restaurant we went to and the hasseled all the way back to the taxi! It would be such a nice place if it wasnt for the constant Egyptian guy coming up to us trying to buy my wife from me!! And also trying to get us into every shop we go past is so draining!
Went to Aqua Park which was a good water park, well worth a visit. worth going as soon as it opens as it does get busy. We were there as soon as slides opened and we had a free reign of the slides for about 30mins which was great.
I would definatley reccomend this hotel, very good value for money.
I will go back to Egypt in the future but will be prepared for Naama Bay next time! Ignore everyone!!!! ha ha.
Thanks again to hotel for a lovely stay.

assuming that 5 points get those places that are beyond expectations, this hotel gets my strong four. the first impression was pretty positive - unlike other places we've stayed in Sharm, staff at reception (and other hotel staff, as i noticed later) does not seem to be bakshish-hungry. in other words, they do not stare at ones' travel documents or pretend very busy with other important things until the guest realizes that he or she owes some extra dollars to get to the room that's been already paid for.
the hotel territory is very clean and well maintained, buildings exterior and public areas are in good shape. pools and beaches are clean, lawns are green. rooms interior though seemed slightly worn-out. like, safe deposit box buttons were completely worn out, and i had to figure out which button was "lock". shower equipment also required some repair. room furniture seemed somewhat basic or like home-made. however, having been to other hotels in SSH i have figured out that rooms in all places looked pretty much the same, maybe, due to heavy tourist traffic.
animation teams (russian-speaking and italian) did their best. kitchen was okay. the only little disappointment was the coral reef which is not the greatest in the area, but still there were fish and corals to look at.
overal, we were satisfied with our short term stay in this place.

When should we expect the new low price for the wi-fi internet?
A friend of mine has arrived today and she told me that the price is still 6 euro per hour.
It is too expensive!!!

Good afternoon and thank you for your question; the actual price is 6 Euros, we have reduced the price by two (2) euros, one month ago it was 8 Euros an hour.

We are further negociating with the company that supplies the signal to reduce even further, but at this momnet I have no fresh news.

Thank you!!

We have just come back from a lovely holiday at the Shores Amphoras. We went as a large group of english adults, and found not many english people in the hotel, which was fine with us, but must be something to bear in mind if you are going alone and would like to talk to others. Def not much for english speaking children either as entertainment seems to be aimed at the Italians (most of the population in the hotel), they actually have their own entertainment team, but as a group we had a great time.

Hotel is very nice, lots of pools and beaches to choose from and never any problem getting a sunbed, any time of the day. Staff were great, very friendly and helpful, Our rooms were suites and very nice lots of room, very clean and the cleaner made us laugh with different designs with our clothes on the beds every day (swans, flowers etc).

Food was very good, always hot and plenty of choice, the oinly other place we ate is in the Italian and again food was great, there are also other restaurant choices, so no need to get bored. Wor of warning the all inclusive drinks all finish at 11pm, then you are made to pay, and staff seem very reluctant to keep bars open after 11pm, which being in a large group of adults we would of liked a later drink, we did try to go to the Disco for a later drink, but this remained closed the whole time we were there!!! Also there are only two places that you can get a drink in the evening as the other days all shut by 6pm. So early night for us, which was just a swell as our trips did start very early but def reccomend the quad biking and horse riding, and it meant we were back early in the morning so xould enjoy the whole day in the sun.

Entertainment in the hotel is ok, it is organised by the staff and you all have to participate, so don't expect any shows etc. Snorkelling was excellent and we saw just as much asyou would if you had of scuba dived, and only the one shark siteing!!!! The spa mis very good and we all had a great massage, although make sure you barter on price, we got it much cheaper than it says on the list!!! We also went into Naama bay one eve on the shuttle, we only stayed a couple of hours as we found a lot of the shop keepers can be very rude if you did not buy from them, alsothough we did meet some characters that were great, just a shame the others spoil it for them.

Would def reccomend the hotel, we had a great holiday, and came back about a stone heavier from all the eating and drinking!!!!

Just back from Shores Amphores, a well laid out resort. The chalet we had was big with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a sitting room/kithen area, although there were no appliances which would have been nice for the odd cuppa. It was cleaned daily by a nice young man, however the use of a wet mop occasionaly instead of sweeping every day would have made it even better. Towel swans and hearts decorated with petals were left after a few days tips. The furniture was a little tired and the showers with curtains could certainly do with modernising.
The beach area was really good with the staff finding you beds on picking up your towels. Snorkelling is well monitored from the pier and the water and corals more pleasant than further up the coast, not having the bottomless abyss a soon as you step of the pier steps.
The entertainment was only just acceptable with the animacion team doing most of it, so don't go expecting great shows.
We went all inclusive and were dissapointed that only 2 bars remained free after dusk (around 6pm in September). The Luxor beer from bottles was acceptable but the locally produced alcohol was nothing to write home about. Gordons Gin could be bought but there was no bitter lemon or Fanta Lemon or Tonic Water. No White Rum either. Best bar by far was the Palms bar. Great staff and had a good laugh.
The food from the dining room was acceptable if you aren't too fussy an eater, however the meat cooked ouside on the barbecues was excellent.
Beware taking the free shuttle into Naama. Prompt pick up time and VERY prompt return pick up time. The drop off point is outside a terrace of small shops where the shopkeepers are waiting to pounce as soon as you get off. And you've guessed it, they are there waiting for you when you come back to get picked up. The shuttle bus stopped for litterally 2 seconds and then sped off. We ended up getting a taxi back to Shores. By the way, Naama looks a nice place but is just a hassle trying to body swerve all the shop and restaurant touts. Been there, done it, won't be doing that again. There are shops on site in a small mall and I would suggest that you could get anything there you would want. There is a big shopping malll called the Marketa just along the road that we saw people walk to from the Shores, but to be honest we could'nt be bothered with the hassle.
The resort has 5 swimming pools, only one with tiles was the one in the beach area. The rest have concrete walk-in slopes which have lost their top coat to leave sharp pebbles making it very uncomfortable to walk in.
We booked with Hotels4U.com and the rep Adelle was excellent. Very informative, frienly and funny. He arranged a trip just along the road to the dolhin show and booked us for swimming with the dolphins. Excellent value.
The grounds were well kept by hard working gardiners with the only mechanical tool being a petrol lawnmower. However we spotted a chap spraying the edge of the paths one day and leaving small ceramic tiles by the night lights, only to find after dark, dead and dying small lizards on the tiles. They were lovely creatures and probably didn't do any harm. In fact they probobly kept down the ant population. It was disturbing to see them on the tiles for the few days before we left. Wonder how long it would be till they were removed ??
All in all, it was a relaxing holiday with much appreciated hard working pleasant staff throughout and very helpful management.
