This is our second stay at this hotel this year; we loved it so much in January we decided to return for a week in March for our birthdays.
We were warmly greeted when we arrived and drinks arrived within minutes, how they remembered our order from 6 weeks previous is beyond me, just goes to show the staff are very good at their jobs.
Our room (116) was very clean and everything worked fine, however there was a slight musty smell in the wardrobe. Our housekeeper was brilliant, he decorated our bed impressively with our towels every day, in a week we had a crocodile, a flower, an elephant and an amazing birthday cake. He was always smiling and very polite, such a brilliant guy.
The hotels no smoking policy was introduced whilst we were there in January and was refreshing to see that it had continued, there was one local guy who thought he was above the policy and was really rude to my friend when she requested he adhere to this but we wouldn’t allow for this man to spoil our holiday. The bar staff couldn’t apologise enough for his behaviour and went out of their way to make our holiday enjoyable.
The hotel staff are absolutely fantastic, they cannot do enough for you, the pool guys made sure our sun bed and towels were there every morning near the top pool. The restaurant waiters were very helpful, Osama, Zac, Karim, Kareem, Tamer they are all wonderful. They really go out of there way to make your stay special on my friends birthday the chef baked a beautiful birthday cake and all of the staff sang Happy Birthday making it a very memorable occasion.
The meals were very good with several choices; my favourites were the chicken pie and the fish, the beef goulash was particularly good.
The entertainment staff were really friendly and very good at keeping everyone entertained and created a relaxed, happy atmosphere, Dodo and Brazily really got to know you and invited you to join in the games and evenings out.
The reception area is always spotlessly clean and once again the staff were so helpful, you can exchange your money there and get quite a good rate.
The hotel have a dive school there and you can learn in the pool for free, then when you are more confident, they offer cruises and dives at realistic prices.
If you are looking for a friendly, good 3 star hotel, look no further than Falcon Hills, you will not be disappointed.
