Hi there
Just got back this morning from Nubian Island, had a very relaxing stay for 2 weeks.
A great location, rooms are clean and tidy, need a bit of a revamp , a little dark and need of a luck of paint, the beds are a little on the hard side, but we spoke to Chloe who asked housekeeping if we could have a mattress topper which was sorted that same day, Chloe look after all the guests as soon as they arrive, nothing is too much trouble for her, she is great!!
The Animation team are very good the evening shows are well put together, Kate especially deserves a mention as she is the most adorable girl and very friendly, I'm missing her already :(
The only trouble is the British guests reserving the sun loungers far too early in the morning as early as 5.30am?? I thought the Germans did that, no problem from Russian guests all ok, but they don't seem to want to talk to us Brits anyway.
Didn't get hassled when we walked across the road for some shopping.
All the staff are so helpful and very friendly, the room cleaners are so good and making creatures out of towels all very nice.
Would definitely recommend anyone going to this fab place. Good value for money.
Just a note : tip in dollars.
A big thankyou to all the staff and Animation team at the Nubian Hotel.

We're recently back from a lovely week at the Nubian Island. We've been to Sharm once before and this time had been due to go to Dahab until the FCO advice changed; Easyjet holidays were very helpful about this and we got a great deal at the Nubian. I hadn't done my normal detailed Trip Advisor research but the Nubian ticked all of our boxes and we'd happily return.

The bungalow rooms were great, spacious and with a sweet garden area, and although tea and coffee making facilities aren't provided automatically, if you ask at reception they'll provide a tray and give you milk from the bar regularly so we had everything we needed.

We preferred to hang out at the beach during the day as the views were beautiful, and although on the first day everyone who was selling anything stopped to chat, after that it was no more than a friendly hi, how are you, so no hassle at all. We booked massages on the first day in the Spa and these were lovely. The beach bar run by Magdy was excellent and we were very well looked after!

The food was excellent in all the restaurants- we usually had lunch at the Barracuda nearest the beach and had two lovely dinners at the Italian restaurant with fabulous service, but the main buffet restaurant was good too and the waiters were great everywhere. We had drinks in the main bar every night and again were so well looked after. Although we didn't really go to any of the entertainment on offer - we were happy just to have a few drinks - the animation team chatted to us every day and were charming.

Even Sharm airport was easy and so quiet this time! Overall, a lovely, easy relaxing holiday in a lovely, easy and relaxing hotel which was very well run - all of the staff were just great and so friendly and we'd highly recommend it. Thank you!

Just returned from a weeks stay at The Nubian Island Hotel. I booked this hotel due to its good reviews on tripadvisor and was not disappointed.
On arrival at reception we were given a lovely cold fruit drink...just what we needed after our long flight. Joseph the bellboy took us to our bungalow and showed us around etc.
The room was of good size and very clean but i felt that the bathroom was in a poor condition and in need of improvement ( def not 5* ) but as it was so clean i didnt make a fuss.
The bungalow had a fridge and tea and coffee facilities were available if you wanted them.
The sheets and bedding were nice and clean and of decent quality...i had requested the mattress toppers to be put on the beds before our arrival as i had read that the mattresses were very firm, we asked for extra pillows and they were sent to us immediatley.
Reception were very quick to respond to any of our requests.
Our room was cleaned and the towels changed every day.
We spent most of our time sun bathing on the lovely beach..after walking along the front and checking out the other hotel beaches we def had one of the best spots..the Nubian beach has rocks and soft sand so you can paddle and swim without going off the jetty into the deep water. the fish are also in the shallow area so if you dont snorkell you can still see the most beautiful colourful fish swimming around your feet, also the beach loungers have a great cumfy mattress
and fluffy large beach towels which Wahid took care of every day ( what a great guy Wahid was..so helpfull nothing was too much trouble for him ) nabq bay always has a breeze which was wonderful but be careful not to burn as the sun is very strong.
The hotel had two other pools with swim up bars etc but we didnt use them as we were on the beach...there was also a beach bar for drinks which we used all day.
We were approached by people selling trips etc but our favourite by far was Mohamed-Shaggy from the Golden Spa...what an asset to the spa, such a well mannered professional employee
we had lots of time for him.
All the staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble.
My friend and i were dreading the food as we are really fussy but i can safely say the food was superb...dont expect The Ritz but we ate breakfast , lunch and dinner at the hotel and didnt eat out once !!! FREE bottled water is available 24/7.
Breakfast was eggs, sausages, pancakes, waffles, fruit, breads, pastries, cold meats, cheeses, cereals. coffees and juices etc, plenty of choice for everybody.
We chose to have lunch at The Barracuda restaurant by the beach. the selection was great, always soup and fresh breads, hot pasta dishes, meat dishes, fish, hot veg and pots, huge salad bar and outside bbq food...fresh fruit, ice cream and the most wonderful desserts and cakes.
The itallian restaurant served pizzas and hot sandwiches and ice creams later in the afternoon if you were still hungry.
We ate dinner in the main buffet restaurant which again had an excellent choice of food, each evening was themed...we also ate in the Itallian which was a 5 course meal and was excellent.
We didnt eat the salad for 2 days as we were worried it would upset our tummies but we noticed everyone else was eating it so we did and we were fine,, no problems at all... this hotel is very clean and the food standards are high ( been to Egypt a couple of times and this was the best food id had )
The hotel grounds are very clean and the flora and fauna are wonderful....the walkways and the gardens are lovely. We were concerned about the mosquitos but at 6pm every evening the gardeners came around with the fogging machines to keep them at bay.. my friend got one bite on her ankle but that was outside the hotel one evening whilst we were shopping.
I used the mosi plug in in my room and never saw any insects of any kind.
We ventured out of the hotel most evenings and walked up and down the road outside looking around the shops for the best deals on copy handbags, belts, sunglasses, souvineirs etc..
You will get harassed but just be polite and firm and you will have no problems... and always haggle with the prices...they expect it and never pay the first price !!!!
The Jewellery Shop in The Nubian has some fantastic jewellery at amazing prices.. George the owner made pieces up especially for us so they are one offs for around £50.. the regular stuff is much cheaper...also the handbag shop in the hotel has some nice stuff....worth a look.
We spent a couple of evenings at the new Hard Rock in nabq bay ...great place..and the strada shops opposite are worth a visit..also Mac d's, KFC, starbucks etc if you are missing english food.
The taxis are cheaper on the street rather than using the hotel taxis but be prepared to haggle an agreed price before you get in.
I have only a couple of niggles....the main dining room was sometimes very warm and didnt feel as if the aircon was on...and the pillows are too firm, softer pillows should be an option in a 5* hotel.
We are planning to Visit Sharm later in the year and we will definately stay here again...without a doubt.
If you are looking for good value, good food and good hygeine then stay here at the Nubian Island. ( next door was the Nubian Village , more family oriented and a 4* hotel so not as nice as the Island )
Hope this review was helpfull.

We had two weeks all inclusive at Nubian Island and it was fantastic. All the staff couldn't do enough for us. The whole place was spotlessly clean and the room was cleaned daily with beautiful "towel art" to come back to! Amazing! The food was outstanding, the service in the dining rooms/restaurants was fantastic. As was the service throughout the hotel. The bar staff, the animation team, the pool/towel staff, reception etc. Nothing was too much for these guys. I would definitely highly recommend Nubian Island as a holiday destination and I would definitely visit again.

We stayed 10th - 17th March in a super 2 bed bungalow which was kept immaculate by our cleaner. The whole resort was wonderful & spotless, the gardeners took great pride in their work, and rightly so. All the staff from reception, bars, restaurants, housekeeping did everything possible to make our stay special! Thank you all!
We had one cold very windy day and a special mention must go to Wahid, the towel guy at the bottom pool/beach, who did his best to ensure we stayed warm and out of the wind, again, made to feel special.
The beach area is so pretty & just like a tropical island. The animation team were excellent, even tho we didn't join in, they were always friendly and not at all pushy.
As to the food, always plenty of variety to suit everyone, beautifully displayed and cooked. The chefs always around to make sure everything o.k.
We really loved this resort and very much hope to return Sept/Oct time.
Thank you to all at the Nubian Island for a fabulous holiday
