I returned from one week at this hotel and have never wanted to get home so much at the end of a holiday.
When we arrived in the evening we were taken to our room which was basic but ok. The bathroom however was dirty with marks in the bath and sink. The beds in the room were rock hard and almost impossible to sleep on.
We went down to dinner and was extremely disappointed. The food was of a poor quality and mostly catered for Russians. The bread was rock hard and stale and over the week chicken and rice was served nearly every day just with a different sauce. The desserts looked fantastic but had no flavour whatsoever and tasted stale. Breakfast was no better with more stale bread and a toaster that didn't even work most of the time!
The juices were so sweet and artificial, if you wanted freshly squeezed orange you had to pay extra! The glasses provided were dirty most of the time. Sausages and other items were more catered for Russians, some of the pastries were so hard that they were inedible! We resorted to buying our own cereal from the supermarket and eating this for breakfast as we couldn't eat the food supplied. In the evenings we ended up paying to eat in the restaurants in Naama Bay as we couldn't face the buffet again.
During the day we spent a lot of time by the pool which was nice especially as the pool is heated. The hotel provide towels which you can swap for a fresh one after 10am when there is a towel man there. However the towels that were given to us didn't look like they had been washed and when watching the man with the towels he seemed to just fold up the used ones and hand them out again!
The entertainment team were nice and friendly, their dancing in the morning and afternoon was good fun to watch. However the rest of the staff at this hotel need some lessons in customer service. The men at the pool bar were constantly making rude comments and whistling / making noises whenever you walked nearby or went to get a drink. There was a nice friendly man at the bar near the main reception however his personal hygiene was not good and he smelt very strongly of body odour which put me off going to the bar.
The reception staff were not very friendly which I was surprised by, they were not helpful when we asked for advice on the area and when we had an issue with our room they helped us but only reluctantly.
There are 2 beaches that the hotel provide a bus to. Wind beach was very nice however when we arrived there in the morning we were told that we couldn't eat or drink anything that we had brought with us. I have never known anything like this is my life. I have been to hundreds of different beaches all over the world and you can eat / drink what you like! I think this rule is ridiculous.
The other beach was Hadaba beach which was beautiful but was spoilt by the 'guards' patrolling and watching our every move. They pestered us most of the day by leering and making comments. The sun loungers were old and in poor quality. Most of them were broken and could not be adjusted.
Overall the week was a nightmare, the weather was lovely but apart from that I would not return. I do not believe that this hotel is 4 star. Anyone from England that is planning to visit my tip is to pay a bit more and stay somewhere else!
