Just back from a 2 week stay at this hotel. Ok so it's not the hilton but the rooms were cleaned daily towels and bedding. Food wasn't great but there is a lovely pizza/burger place on site. Cakes are lovely! Animation Team were fantastic. They work so hard. Good fun round the pool all day, Put on shows every night, then orginised nights out to clubs after hours. . . Excellent. Couldn't fault them. Lucy, Tooshe ,Sarah, Miky, Alex, Heidi and the 2 russian girls (sorry I can't think of your names)
Lucy is great company and so funny!

My boyfriend and I have just come back from a week here and after reading all the bad reviews, were really nervous upon arrival. However, from the moment we got there, we realised the bad reviews were fairly unfounded. Yes it's not The Hilton or The Marriott - but if you want that then you'll pay for it! We got moved rooms immediately because our request had been to have a balcony overlooking the pool and with a smile and a gratious request to the check in staff - it was no problem to have it changed. The staff were pretty friendly, the animation team were fantastic and really tried to engage all those staying in the resort with the nightly entertainment.
The pools are nice and clean, there's plenty of beds to lie on and they give you fresh beach towels everyday. The beach is very small and snorkelling is limited because you're effectively on a jetty/harbour where large boats are coming in and out of. That was disappointing.

The food was ok - i'm a vegetarian and always struggle so can't say the options were extensive, but it was decent food and certainly fine for a week. I heard people complaining but was unsure why! The staff in the restaurant can't do enough for you - clearing away your plates the moment you finish.

The drinks were VERY watered down and I personally only liked wine at dinner and beer throughout the day. A decent vodka is near on impossible to come by but having been all inclusive before; this can be par for the course.

Hotel is close to the airport but not that close to Naama Bay so if you want to be in the midst of it all - probably better to go to a different hotel. Additional bits and pieces though: nice perfume shop where they make up their own oil based scents based on what you wear and fragrances you like. Pretty good fake handbag shop too with lots of good rip offs: although haggle hard because prices in Naama Bay are cheaper. LIttle tiny shop across the road run by a really sweet Egyptian man and bottled water is cheaper over there than hotel.

We would go back again - the only downside is its not as close to the nightlife as we would have liked. But, if you want a value for money chilled out holiday then this is a good choice. Although, the clientele were quite young and one of the pools has a DJ/constant music playing - so not as quiet as some would like - but great if you want to feel a bit like you're at a pool party (we liked this!)

I would have graded it as good but as that's not an option and the resort/hotel has had a lot of bad reviews - i've gone for very good over average!

We have just returned from the Gardenia Plaza Resort (16 June) having spent two weeks there. If you are thinking of visiting this resort, take NO NOTICE whatsoever of the bad reports. If you are paying mega bucks you are entitled to be disappointed, but this is a great resort and offers superb value for money. The staff are very very friendly and most of them cannot do enough to help. They always had a cheery face and went out of their way to make conversation. Their favourite saying is "5 minutes, don't worry", which always turns out to be half an hour, but hey, that's Egypt! The food was a little repetitive, but all inclusive hotels generally are, however there was always fresh eggs and omelettes for breakfast, and fresh pasta for lunch and dinner. Hi to Mr Mongy the restaurant manager! Rooms were adequate and clean (ask for pool view) and cleaned every day. Parts of the hotel could do with a lick of paint, but just go and enjoy yourself. One tip....... Take a couple of plastic pint glasses with you!

Room Tip: request a pool view

loved this hotel, spent a week here this june, very near the airport which always helps, first to get off the transfer, fab, very pretty hotel with several pools which i saw being cleaned every day, fun slides for both kids & adults which were staffed for safety. great straw umberells which couldnt blow away like some on other hols! plenty of sunloungers & clean free towels available for the pool. huge room which had the sheets & towels changed every day & floors mopped. staff were so obliging couldbnt fault them, couldnt do enough for us, took us to the room on a buggy & rang when we got in to check the room was ok. food stunning & plenty of choice, we piled on the weight as couldnt stop eating!! good selection of drinks. rep was brillant & we booked all our amazing trips with him, everything rang like clockwork. free bus to the beach & naama bay. good shops on site with no hassel, bought several items including perfume & a bag at great prices. would stay here again in a heartbeat, loved it. 2 very happy customers, thank you!! xx

after reading all the bad reviews after i booked the hotel i thought well im in for a treat , , we arrived late sat night june 8th and were greeting with a welcome and offered food immedietly our bags were taken to our by electric car and bags carried to our room then we were showed around by our porter and his manners and english were fab , the room was cleaned daily with fresh sheets and towels daily , the food was fine plenty of choice for the most picky 13 yr old , who is always ''starving'' so when the restaurant was closed we had a fab pizza place which was really cheap , so he was happy which meant i was happy , the bar staff are amazing they work incredible hours and always happy to help , wifi at the hotel had to poaid for daily but at least it was there (thank goodness for a child who cannot go without his wifi )we did g to the local town in naam bay and went to soho , now i found it too busy but i could see how the youngsters would love it , there is a daily bus to the beach which is a must and safe , my only down side was i just couldnt go for a walk by the sea at an evening as it was too far, but the entertainment staff were fab they were great with the kids and even adult had fun , there was a huge mix of cultures where egyptian families holidayed with with their whole family and it was fab to see all ages in the pool , there was even a private female only bathing area , as u can this hotle made sure all cultures were catered for , and it was great to see the british kids mixing with egyptian kids using sign language , all i can go there enjoy don't look at bad bits its a holiday and just enjoy ,

Room Tip: pool side rooms enjoy most of the sun

I have too say if you know what to expect you aren't disappointed! In Egypt take at least one star off the how you rate the uk and you will be fine! Spent two weeks here and wouldn't hesitate to go back! All the staff were lovely! Bar men where hilarious! Some of the other guests got a little bit over friendly with us at one point and security were with us immediately! Rooms where clean ad very spacious our cleaning team were excellent! Only fault I can find is that the entertainment doesn't go on late enough! Definitely go to this hotel!
