Myself and my partner just got back from this Hotel/resort.
I personally thought it was adequate for the price we paid, with good facilities to get you where you wanted to go in the area, at no extra cost or a minimum fee depending where you were going.
The food wasn't great but feeding a whole hotel of people on a limited budget five times a day cannot be easy. From what I saw of the rest of Sharm their commitment to providing excellent cuisine was not on their list of priorites.
The staff were friendly and helpful and I really felt sorry for them as the Russians who were staying at the hotel treated them like slaves and the Brits abroad we met on our holiday were just negative and moaning about absolutely everything.
As for the plastic cup situation, the drunken states I saw some people getting into, it would have been a health hazard to give them glass!
Our room was cleaned every day they sprayed the whole resort every evening to get rid of the bugs and mozzys and there was something for everyone to do!
The private beach area they had in Sharks bay had wonderfully comfy sun loungers, good bar facilites and great snorkelling!
We also booked an excursion at the hotel (snorkelling in Ras Mohammed) which was a fab experience and good value for money.
All this for less than £15 per day!!!!!!!!!!!!
No wonder the British are famous for complaining, why are people letting a bit of crap food some plastic cups and bad health and safety ruin a whole holiday????

90% of clients are russians....enough said !!

no al la carte.....no choice of eateries......no choice of bars....no gym....no swim up bar.....no spa...no tennis courts...no need to go on......

very badly managed hotel......rather than write a bad review i gave management a list of my major complaints whilst in resort.......i had no response hence the adverse review.

i would not recommend this hotel !!

just got back from egypt and only had the misfortune to stay at this hotel for 1 night and 1 day after arriving late at night we were told to go to the resturand and we were served what can only be described as grule it was awful the waiter asked if it was alright and we told him no it was not he just said ok and started to smile. we asked for diet coke for our drinks and there was none somebody had been asking for 4 days for it also there was no wine at lunch or evening meal we were told they had none. the rooms were awful the pool was unsafe my friend cut her leg open and another guest cut his leg as well it was a total sham and hard working people with standards should no be sent to this hotel needles to say we paid extra money and demanded to be moved it was the best money we spent also the air con was broke in the restarand and water was leaking from it the staff there do not make a holiday they might be nice but its the place and the accomodation that make your holiday anybody who thinks this is a good holiday should be made to go back every year so it is full and no body else can be put through this awfull experience

Room Tip: book somewhere else

After reading other reviews and ratings we were expecting the worse. Arrived with my 3 friends ( all between 30-40yrs) for my 40th birthday. Immediately greeted and told that our room was just being finished and would we like to go straight to the restaurant for our all inclusive lunch. The restaurant was organised clean and the staff very attentive. After, we were taken by a little power buggy to our rooms. To say we were pleasantly surprised is an under statement. Brand new, immaculately clean & powerful airconditioning with view of the pool.

Everyone we met at this hotel were truly lovely, Yasser and Memo who do the massages, the animation team-Mac, Hassan and Mikey, friendly, professional and genuinely lovely guys!! The waiters, the head chef who found out my friend was a vegatarian so personally cooked her something delicious every lunch and evening meal. Amazingly kind!! We are all seasoned travellers who like to try new things and all have an eye for detail and an appreciation for luxury. This was something we thought we would have to forgo in this resort, not the case!! Please feel secure in knowing you will have a brilliant stay here at a very cheap cost and with excurtions and amenities at your disposal.

Definitely recommend!!

Thank you to all at the hotel gardenia

Myself and four girlfriends booked a package holiday through Co-Op Travel. We wanted a four star hotel and a bit of luxury as we had saved all year for this week away. We were assured that this was a 'nice hotel'. OMG the place needs demolishing. The health and safety in this place is non existent. The rooms are shabby, basic and in need of a DEEP CLEAN. The state of the main pool area is beyond belief, we were hard pressed to find five sunbeds that were not badly broken with dirty ripped mattresses and really should have been thown years ago. My friend hurt, fell and cut open her knee when the loose tiles surrounding the pool were left aside and her foot fell in the gulley . The pathways and gardens had bare cables left exposed where you walked, pavements had slabs missing causing all sorts of accidents. If all this wasn't bad enough, the food is not fit to eat, flys, air con from pipes above dripping onto the food below. You have to fetch your own drinks which were seved in plastic cups and if you wanted wine you were lucky to get a mouth full. The list is endless. My friends and I stayed one night and then had to spend most of the next day arranging to be moved to another hotel which we had to pay extra for plus the hassel of packing and transfers, we were heartbroken. STEER CLEAR .

We read the reviews on trip advisor after booking the holiday and thought we had made a big mistake. We were proved wrong, we had the best holiday and felt really looked after. When the head chef, Abdul, found out I was vegetarian he made me special meals. All the staff in the restaurant were really lovely. The Animation Team who entertained us all day and night were so friendly and made us feel at home, it felt we were part of a big family by the time we left. A new addition to the hotel when we were there were some giant remote control cars and quad bikes for children to use around the grounds of the hotel. I would definitely go back again, we found all the Egyptian people absolutely lovely and welcoming. I would highly recommend having a massage in the hotel, it was the best one I have ever had!

Room Tip: Stay in the rooms around the pool without the slides
