“Hotel in Naama”
Reviewed May 18, 2013

I have just spent a week at the Ghazala Beach Hotel and I would have to say the rating was given more for the service and staff than for the hotel itself.
The hotel is clean and tidy but a bit dated and tired.
The staff were all friendly and helpful , we tried the hotel restaurants and found them all very nice.
We will return.

Ghazala Beach offers all you need, especially if you are looking for value. Apart from the extensive buffet available to all guests the hotel has a variety of restaurants Italian Chinese Mexican Lebanese etc. which offer increasing discounts the more you dine. Children are catered for. The beach is safe and there are lifeguards who monitor the beach who help out with the loungers and there are plenty of these. The hotel representatives are available everyday for any problems. The travel company rep was also available. There was no hard sell of all the hotel had to offer spa massage, trips etc . I have been to Egypt 8 times before but this is the first time I have stayed here and am planning to return next year.

With this being my second trip to sharm el sheikh, Ghazala Beach really made it an enjoyable one. Even though the hotel is a little outdated, the service we recieved was impeccable at times. All the staff are really friendly and couldn't be more happier to help, specially Islam (Redsea Holidays rep). The hotel was clean and provided great amenities and is fantastically located. The staff at the private beach (Hysham) was extremely attentive and made our holiday a enjoyable and relaxing experience. I agree with what others have to say about the sunbeds on the beach which requires more attention but no harm done. Secondly with regards to location, it is approx 5 mins walk to the hustle bustle promenade. This place is crazy, you need to ensure you are prepared for this. However the most polite way to say you are not interested is to use the word (SHUK-RAN) which means thank you in Arabic. We did Quad biking for 3 hours are paid a tenner, speed boating which was booked whilst we were on the beach and paid £45 each which entails snorkelling on 2 different islands and finally ended our holiday with a visit to the Soho Square (Ice Bar) This is a must do which was booked with Red Sea Holidays from the hotel itself which entails a free entry to the ice bar, a game of bowling and Culturama (Egyptian History)

We will definitely be using Ghazala beach again !!!!

Room Tip: Rooms in the main building are much quiter compared to the bungalows. first floor rooms

Dear Carlito,

Thank you very much for your praising comments regarding your recent stay with us and your 2nd visit to Sharm. We are more than happy that we provided you an enjoyable time, and we surpassed your expectations, and that you celebrated two very special occasions with us.We are very proud of our beautiful beach located right in the heart of Naama Bay. The Red Sea has the most diverse marine life and coral in the world and it is such a source of delight for those who have never experienced it, whether as a diver a snorkeler or simply swimming.Thank you again for taking the time to write your feedback and we do hope to be able to assist you again in the near future.
Many best wishes to you from

Myself and my partner arrived back from ghazala beach hotel last night. The hotel is exactly what it states to be (booked through red sea holidays.) Its clean but basic. Could do with some updates but I can't complain when only paying £25O pp for bed and breakfast and flights. There a two pools both of good sizes and we always found a sunbed even later on in the day, we found more people on the beach, the beach is lovely and sandy unlike other beaches you may find in sharm. The food in the ghazala beach bar is average, the hotel kebab hut is good for a quick tea, I ate 3 times during our 3 night stay at kokai - getting take out twice as I really didn't enjoy walking around naama bay as there is way to much hassle. If you ignore the egyptian people they basically insult you or grab your hand and try to drag you along. Also the men on camels will walk there camel into you if you don't take a picture which will cost you. Really cannot moan about the hotel at all, only problem is on the 1st floor there are cupboards which we often found open - when looking in the cupboard we found a 2Oft drop and pipes/drains - I'd say dangerous for children or if you've had a one to many. Staff are friendly, but can be a bit to cheeky demanding tips. I gave the porter 3 english pounds as I hadn't changed my money - I got a frown!!! And I heard 'can I keep the change' way to often!!! I certainly recommend the hotel massage!! Don't be fooled by the prices we got 6 hours worth of massage through the week for £15O when it should of been triple!! If you can handle feeling imtimidated all week, followed about, constantly being beeped at and the awful looking dumpsites around you then this is a bargain for you :) :) I recommend spider cafe! Turn left coming out of the back of the hotel and walk for about 15 minutes! We went every day as they was the friendliest egyptians we met! Cheap shisha pipes and will help you with anything! Freshly squeezed fruit juices! Any u can imagine!!!

Back again for a much needed break and most importantly some sunshine!!! Lovely to see Bianca and Jane again (our holiday reps).Feels like "coming home" . Staff friendly, pool side room clean and adequate. Lovely weather and fantastic sea, fish etc... Nice to see some familiar faces again, Jean and Conn. Pool clean and gardens fairly well kept. The beach needs slight attention and some of the beach sunbeds could do with replacing.
However for a very cheap week, it was well worth it.. Neil celebrated his birthday while we were there...thankyou for the cake,a nice touch.
See you soon (hopefully) Ghazala Beach x

Went to Ghazala beach in February for two weeks with the famiy. As usual we had a great time. weather was good for that time of year, just needed a jacket some evenings. The rooms were great but a little tired, the hotel is not new so to be expected. The welcome we received from the hotel staff, and Bianca and her team was outstanding, they could not do enough for us nothing was too much trouble. A big thank you from us all. We met some people that we knew who like myself are repeater guests to the hotel, it is like home from home. I hope to be back very soon.

Returning yesterday we're wishing we where back on the beach. We where slightly apprehensive on reading some of the reviews but when we arrived we where pleasantly surprised. Our room was clean and nicely decorated. Our holiday reps Jane and Bianca where second to none, they showed a genuine interest and where on hand to help with anything we needed. All the staff in the hotel where great and more than happy to help with anything down to cleaners. We went bed and breakfast but when we return we will certainly be going all inclusive, not so much for the food because the food is not expensive in Egypt but the drinks add up and we probably ended up spending more. The location was perfect, walking distance to all the restaurants and nightlife. We had a leaky shower hose once we reported this to reception they fixed the problem straight away. I also celebrated my 22nd birthday here and the hotel sent a cake and discount letter to my room to use in one of the many on site restaurants, we chose Italian which we really enjoyed.
Thanks for a great holiday from Asa and Daniel.
