Well interesting to say the least. My first trip to Egypt and I did enjoy it , weather was fab but its winter now so it gets dark about 4-5. Hotel was good , rooms were very clean , 1078 we stayed abit noisy in the morning , and sounds like your in a Glasgow tenement close lol . Service was very poor in lobby bar n staff were rude . Waited over half an hr for drinks .... infact still waiting we ended up getting them ourselves! ! Restaurant waiters were far the best especially Abraham who was great and also the restaurant manager. Pool service too was poor , one was too busy smoking the heshe pipe to give us drinks and although they came round with cocktails in the afternoon , we dont drink so we asked for an alternative. ... still waiting ;-( Pools areas were spotless and I luved there was a quiet n noisy pool were u could pick were u wanted to sit . Spa needs reviewed as iam a Beauty therapist and maybe justed spotted a few flaws. I dont mind getting info about things but getting someone every 5mins can be a pain and its frustrating !! Im on holiday gess piece !! Lol. Entertainment mmmm what entertainment ....outdated too needs reviewed. Ended up in jive bar 2mins from hotel most nights with The fab Debs and Team ( Disco too some nights Debs instead of karaoke :-p ) Excursions I would highly recommend olmar next to Jive Bar as its far too expensive from reps ( sorry) x Entertainment team , Claire n shelly fab the boys mmmm need to concentrate on their jobs more.... than the young girls !! ( wouldn't recommend my daughter coming here with friends ) !! Overall had a fab time , even though the men can be really in your face ( naama bay flipping nightmare at night ! ) Would I come back.... hell yes me n margareta had a great time :-D xxx

I would always recommend this hotel, I have been to Egypt 9 times and booked in this hotel 7, but ended up here 8 times because another hotel was so bad.

St George is everything it is explained to be and more. I have stayed in 5* hotels that aren't as accommodating and welcoming as this hotel. Everyone including the reception staff, bar/ restaurant staff, cleaners, animation staff and pool attendants are welcoming, friendly and helpful. They want nothing more than your stay to be perfect and will make sure they try as hard as they can to make it so.

Firstly as for location, I think the location is ideal its peaceful the trips to nama bay and nabq bay, soho square and even the airport are not long, so you can choose to go to the nightlife and you can choose to relax.

The service is flawless, if you don't like anything from the food that is on offer to the taste of your drink, they will cook you some food that you want or replace your drink. Nothing is too much.

The hotel and the rooms are so clean the cleaners clean the room and you have fresh towels daily. nothing looks dirty or off putting. It is just delightful, they are spacious and furnished beautifully and if you need anything the hotel will provide.

The pool has two pools a quiet and a noisy pool, be aware the noisy one you can still chill and read your book, but provides a bit more socialble atmosphere.

breakfast is fantastic as is lunch, dinner is themed so some nights a fussy eater like myself struggles, however all you have to do is ask the chef and they will make you what you fancy whether it be steak or just an omelette and chips.

the animation team are fantastic, friendly and great fun.

the pool attendants are lovely, they will do anything for you to moving your sunlounger or getting you a fresh towel.

at the end of the day, I love this hotel, I am a person who loves the weather in Egypt but I also love how this hotel in particular will make you enjoy everything not just the weather.

they even run free shuttle buses which even 5* hotels in the area does not.

If you want to know.. I will be back again. I know this hotel inside out and I love it.

If you choose to go, embrace Egypt its a wonderful beautiful country full of culture, and Xperience st George reflects this.

Staff members such as michael, fady, allam, mina and many more are a credit to the hotel. So please go its fantastic.

Returned from st george on 10th january and would not return. This hotel is like a tale of 2 halves, in the day the entertainment around the pool was the same every day although the team does work tirelessly to try and get people involved thanks to claire, shelly an the rest of the team as for them i think i would of returned on an earlier flight. The entertainment of a night was very poor one evening we paid £10 to play their bingo only to find the prizes was hotel based prizes so it was for them to make money not the guests. Carlos At the bar is the best and funniest person ive ever met hes the only thing il miss from the holiday. Now for the food, bland and poor, few guests commented it was like being in the jungle rice and meat. Although there was a carved meat every night u only got a small amount and had to go up again for more, the bbq meat some nights tasted of burning off the fire, we also asked for fries one night for a child an was told no the childs food was also poor at mini hotdogs macaroni or pizza 1 of the above every night. We eat out a lot the second week which cost us a fortune as we couldnt take no more of the food( and were not fussy eaters). The hotels beach was a 10 minute ride away this was nice but quite boring could do with some music here, we found another part of the beach an sat there good music an cheap nice food there. Overall id say this hotel is for older people, theres not many excursions plus u get harrassed by the pool selling massages, tatoos and other stuff even after saying no they dont take the hint. Never again.

St George Homestay Sharm el Sheik
On our arrival we were welcomed warmly and quickly processed through the formalities before being shown to our very spacious room overlooking the quiet pool.
We went for dinner to the restaurant and were amazed at the choices and quality of the options of food. The fabulous dessert choices increased my weight by just looking at them and the choices were repeated at every meal. Those who complain about the food must be either being negatively destructive or quite deluded.
The animation team worked relentlessly and though we were not active participants’ they must be given 100% for enthusiasm and energy.
We stayed for 11 nights and enjoyed every day. All the staff and particularly the housekeeper (Room 2031) excelled in keeping us happy with fresh towels, a clean room and some very imaginative towel art pictures of which are attached. We ate twice in the al a carte (@Nathan’s) firstly to celebrate our 40 wedding anniversary (The special anniversary meal – 5 courses of superb food) and secondly at the end of our holiday (The fillet steaks cooked to perfection) and found the food and the service to be exemplary.
The SPA services need to be improved as we were not 100% sure about the hygiene. They also appeared to do ‘deals’ to which they reneged. They again worked tirelessly to the point of perhaps becoming a nuisance.
We took an excursion to St Catherine’s Monastery and although a very long journey was well worth the visit and the guide was without doubt very knowledgeable and kept us informed frequently.
Overall we would highly recommend the St George Homestay to anyone who wants a warm welcome, good food, relaxation and clean and pleasant surroundings.

Room Tip: St Catherine's Monastery

what can i say that every body hasn't said, stayed here from the 31/10/13 till the 14/11/13 and had a great time, hotel very clean, staff cant do enough for you, on our 2nd day the staff knew what drinks we had. The animation team do a really good job especially Claire, Shelby and Sammy from the kids club who had to put up with Ella. This is such a friendly hotel i can understand why people go back year after year. The food is good ive been to a few hotels in Egypt but i have to say the food here is the best ive tasted in Egypt, would we go back YES, hopefully this year if everything works out ok.

Room Tip: We had a room facing the road but had no problem with any noise
