I have just returned from a very enjoyable stay at the Belvedere, and i must say how impressed with the high standards and cleanliness. The only thing that let it it down was the buffet meals that i feel could have been a lot better and hotter, although the staff were excellent in the restaurants and did their work well.
I would also like to praise Katie who looks after guests to ensure they have an enjoyable experience, and to our cleaner Gogo who takes pride and keeps the rooms immaculate, and also leaves different towel arts everyday.
So overall a very enjoyable stay, just an improvement in meals required to make it the perfect place to stay.

Have just returned from a very enjoyable stay at the Jaz and my only negative issue was that the food could have been better and most certainly hotter as in temperature!

The choice of food was acceptable albeit a little repetitive but the overall quality was disappointing relative to all other aspects of this hotel.

On a positive note the staff are great and Katie does a first-class job looking after the guests to ensure they have an enjoyable experience. The entire place is kept immaculately clean and our cleaner (GoGo) did a great job and takes great pride in what he does.

The pool and private beach and general surroundings are very well tended and a pleasure to relax in.

Improving the food would in my opinion make this hotel a perfect place to holiday.

Nice hotel but have it agree with other reviews that you should not expect a 5* star hotel as you will be disappointed. I think most previous reviews are fairly accurate so will give a short review. As we got a really good deal which effectively cost £25 pp per day (excluding flights) for all inclusive there isn't too much that I can complain about for the price. Agree with other reviews that the staff really do make this holiday and are all so friendly. The quality of food within the buffets could be improved and it also seemed a lot of the dishes were not replenished if you ate after 8pm. The quality of the drinks were not great either. Tip the pool man and he will put your towels out for you! If you want a cheap week away with staff that are genuinely concerned that you have a good holiday then consider this hotel.

This was our third visit to the Jaz and will come back again. It's a shame the trouble in the capital scare visitors the hotel was only a third full, which was good for us. Special mention to Katie who checked everything was okay every day, Osama on the beach who looked after us every day with fresh flowers from the garden, Hamada cheerful waiter where nothing was too much trouble, Ahmed public relations who made sure all was okay and Amoty the barman on the beach.

As soon as we arrived it didn't take my wife and I long to notice the cleanliness, professionalism & friendliness at this hotel. The weather was beautiful & the beach amazing (sand was nice & clean as was the water).

However as a couple of days went by, we started to notice the repetitiveness in their dinner buffet! In fact, my wife was so annoyed she refused to eat the food & we decided we would order in a takeout. We informed the reception staff of this, whilst we requested a takeaway menu! Immediately, we were confronted by the General Manager, the Hotel Rep Katy (really really helpful & friendly individual who couldn't have done more for us) & the Executive Chef, Mohamud Mustafa. We raised our concerns to them following which it was agreed that the chef would cook us any food of our choice (& he did) and continued to do so during the whole course of our holiday- it really was like having your own personnel chef & to top it off, the food was absolutely delicious!

As regards to the general staff at the hotel, they really can't do enough for you, in particular waiters namely Mohammed, Amoty & Hamadad! It really was service with a smile!

As regards to location, Sharks Bay is a very unbuilt area with plenty of free plots of land. However, you can access shops at both Nabq Bay & Naama Bay (our favourite was Naama Bay as there was lots to do, shopping (brilliant for replicas), restaurants, shisha bars etc)). However, be aware of people trying to rip you off- practice your haggling skills beforehand.

As regards to transportation, don't pay anymore than 50 Egyptian pounds to both Naama and Nabq Bay! Agree the price with the taxi driver before getting in the car.

There is plenty to do generally in Sharm. Plenty of water activities for the water lovers, quad biking, evening traditional Egyptian shows, parasailing and, trips to the cities such as Cairo, Luxor etc. We found that the excursions shop just a few doors down from the hotel was the cheapest! However, as we didn't do any activities as such, we cannot comment on the service. Alternatively, you can book through your rep, Marshall (who is a keen seller & can sometimes come across a little pushy but nevertheless means well) or, other excursion shops- however, with the latter, you do risk not being insured!
Finally, we would like to comment on the hotels animation team. With all due respect, for a five star hotel, we were disappointed with the team. For the first few days, we didn't hear a single song being played whilst sun-bathing! In fact, we were unaware that the hotel actually had an animation team until we had a stroll along the beach where we noticed their little hood they appeared to be hiding in! We mentioned this to the hotels guest relations officer & it seemed they took our comments on board as the hotel was a lot more livelier during the latter part of the week! Nevertheless, we noticed new faces joining the team just a day or so before our departure from the hotel, and hopefully they will entertain the guests a lot better (well they seemed to be anyway!)

Overall, an amazing holiday & we can't wait to return!

My husband and I stayed at the Jaz Belvedere from 14th-21st November 2013. The hotel was lovely, rooms very clean and comfortable and the food was excellent. The staff were fantastic and nothing was too much trouble which I found out when I injured my leg one afternoon snorkelling. The staff were on hand to help and contacted the doctor straight away. The doctor arrived within 10 minutes and the treatment was excellent. Katie from customer services was fantastic from the minute we arrived to the day we left and went out of her way daily to come to talk the the guests to make sure everything was ok and that they were enjoying themselves. In fact all the staff were excellent. I would recommend this hotel and am thinking of returning in February, otherwise we shall probably return in November. Well done and thank you for a great holiday.
