“Absolutely fab place to unwind - highly recommended”
Reviewed April 5, 2013

I think the frequency with which people leave their reviews for this hotel is in itself a testament to how good it is.

My husband and I spent 11 nights there at the end of February/beginning of March and we are definitely going back next year! We usually go to Gran Canaria at this time of the year, but after a short research I discovered that 11 nights All Inclusive in this hotel would cost us slightly less than what we usually end up spending on a self catering basis in GC for just 7 nights, so in terms of value for money this really was an excellent choice!

What sets Jaz Belvedere apart is the customer service. It's absolutely true what a lot of people said here: both staff and management simply couldn't do enough to cater to your every whim. Katy (Customer Relations Manager) is excellent and if you have any suggestions or issues, she will sort them out and more. I made an observation that I was surprised lamb didn't figure on the menu more often. So they got some lamb chops especially for me. My hubby commented on the local wine (part of All Inclusive package) not being to his taste, whoosh: the Food & Beverage Manager appeared at our sun loungers the same afternoon and ended up sending a "proper" bottle of white wine to our room free of charge. We really didn't expect this and were quite embarrassed by the amount of trouble these guys went to to make our stay that little bit extra special.

There is so much choice in terms of food that it really is a bit silly to complain about it being repetitive. I loved their daily choice of two tasty soups (different flavours for lunch and for dinner), which surprisingly went down rather well in the hot climate!

You may come across the guys at the bar or the towel shack asking you to change money. What they mean is that a lot of guests tip them in pound or euro coins. The locals are unable to change these in their banks, so what they're asking for is to change the coins into notes, or even better, change them straight into Egyptian pounds if you happen to have lots with you. You can change the currency in the hotel, but the currency desk is only open for an hour during the day (sorry, can't exactly remember between what times).

Another tip: go to the cocktail evening with the management. Once you get to know a few of the managers apart from Katy, you will be treated even more like a VIP - it's well worth it!

This was our first trip to Sharm, but when we go again, we won't be looking for another hotel. Why fix it if it ain't broken? Besides, I really look forward to being able to use the new refurbished spa, which by then should definitely be in operation.

All in all, we had an excellent and relaxing break in the sunshine and can't wait to visit back next year!!!

Room Tip: Block 10 and 11 are the best situated - by the pool and by the beach, so try to get a room there if...

We are a group of eight ladies who chose the Jaz Belvedere as one of our party had visited the hotel last year and recommended it. Prior to arriving we emailed the hotel to ask if our four rooms could be in close proximity and cheekily asked for a sea view and to our surprise we were allocated fab rooms (1109 - 1113) with a lovely view of the sea as requested. These rooms were near the pool and main building so were ideal. Thank you to Gogo, who looked after our rooms, for the daily towel art and keeping the rooms clean.
The hotel is beautiful and kept really clean. The pool area has plenty of sunbeds and from the first day the pool guy put towels on beds for us in the same spot which was great - no early morning rush to bag a decent spot.
Katie the Estonian customer relations lady was absolutely lovely. She came round the pool every day for a chat with everyone, checking that all was well and asking if she could do anything to help. I asked for an iron (I know ? it's my OCD!) and within a couple of hours it was delivered to the room.
Whalid and Peter in the restaurant were both gorgeous young men who couldn't do enough for us - even though they worked extremely long hours they were always smiling and up for a bit of banter. I really don't understand why people complain that the food is repetative - you don't have to eat everything at each meal, try having a couple of things! We couldn't fault the food or the choice and the desserts are the nicest I've had in Egypt - well done chefs.
Most of the animation team were really nice people, Marijuana (sorry don't know how to spell his real name) and his wife especially - the only person who let the team down was English Amy who wasn't very animated and rubbed a couple of us up the wrong way with comments she made, whether we caught her on a bad week?
We paid 5 euro's each for a return trip to Naama bay by mini bus (booked through reception) which was well worth the money - I'd highly recommend the Star Bar which is a Shisha bar on the right of the main street, two thirds of the way down - you can't miss it as one of the workers who is vertically challenged beckons you in. I don't know what the little guy was called as one of my holiday buddies kept calling him Warwick! but he was so entertaining (hope that's p c !). The shopping is great - we bagged a load of bargains after bartering, mainly genuine fake leather designer bags! Naama bay is an experience. Yes, you do get mithered but a polite "no thank you" works.
Once the bar shut at midnight there wasn't anything to do so we'd have liked was the disco to have been more often than two nights per week - just a suggestion.
Finally I'd like to say that we recommend this hotel and look forward to visiting again next year.
The manager deserves high praise for a job well done.

We spent 10 glorious days in March 2013,This was our second year at this hotel and again we were not disappointed, already booking for next year! We received amazing service from the pool staff who reserved our loungers by the pool everyday, to the pool bar staff who did not let us carry our own drinks or food to our loungers once even supplying our drinks every so often without even asking. Our room was exceptionally cleaned every day by very polite and friendly staff. Lovely sea views and complimentary water and soft drinks. Excellent choice of food both at lunchtime or evening with great staff in the restaurants who work very hard always with a smile and politeness. This is a very relaxing and quiet hotel just what you need to unwind! Party goers and people looking for loud music and late nights should book elsewhere. Please don't change this hotel absolutely great as it is. Beautiful sea views this is a superb hotel with spotless and well maintained grounds including the beach and pool area. Katie (customer relations) comes around every day to say hello and make sure everything is ok. We used the taxis associated within the hotel and have never experienced a problem very helpful and always on time to collect you to bring you back to the hotel. Roll on next year!!!!!!

our only fault this holiday we took our family and they hadnt been to eygpt before and to our surprise we felt we were not given a break with people on the beach who would hassle you from the minute you were on the beach to the minute you left we were bombared with complaints from what was to be the only english animation team member amy it got to a stage when she told us we were boring as we didnt join in on her games i told her it would have been very good if when we arrived she would have introduced herself and asked if we wanted anything that we could find her i understand that they are there to entertain people and i appreciate they have no budget and have to create their shows with whatever source they have but please if they are told to leave us alone then leave us alone. now the good points the hotel, hotel grounds, and the staff including pool and beach staff we felt could not do enough for us. while we were on holiday my mother fell poorly and had to be taken to hospital at this point we felt our world was at an end how wrong were we from the minute she fell ill the hotel could not do enough for us we had taxis arranged for us the management were inconstant contact with us we were told anything we wanted we were only to ask a very special thank you at this point goes to katy from the hotel as she was brilliant and i would reccomend to anyone the limousine service outside the hotel was very proffesional we feel we will return to this hotel probably next year to see if there are any inprovements.

What a brilliant place this is. My wife and I have stayed here 5 times. we liked it so much we decided to bring the whole family in march this year 2013 . 17 of us !!

What amazing service. What an incredible choice of great quality food ( fussy english eaters should go elsewhere!) Very quiet and extremely relaxing.

Staff , from the Manager down are well trained and friendly. Katie ( Customer Relations ) was just brilliant and the ever smiling Reda in the Pool Bar was the nearest thing to perpetual motion that I have ever seen. I would like to bring him back to the UK to work for me. Sam( in charge of speedboat, kite surfing etc was a perfect gentleman)

Please please please do not let the Russians take over.

only criticism was loud music in the afternnoon on the Beach when I wanted to take a siesta

if you want nightlife stay in the middle of Sharm. I am already looking forward to next year

A beautiful hotel which is clean, great landscaped gardens, spacious pool area with plenty of sunbeds & afternoon tea & cakes at 4pm! The restaurant offers a selection of food choices at each meal time-something for everyone, however I have been to other hotels which offer a greater choice. If your priority of the day is to sample wonderful world cuisine you would be disappointed. However enough choice for each meal & clean & fresh. The service in the restaurant leaves something to be desired but this felt like the result of poor management & training rather than individuals not wanting to work! The day time & evening entertainment was poor but this was not the fault of the animation team who did try hard to create a holiday atmosphere. There was a lot of discussion about how badly they were managed & any ideas were not really welcomed. The whole entertainment programme would benefit from an overhaul, more staff & perhaps a visit from the company running the team.Outside of the hotel in Nabq,Nama & Soho Square there are plenty of bars, restaurants etc & all pretty cheap so this is a great alternative to the quiet nights in the hotel. The taxis based in the hotel grounds are the best way to travel and the manager there Ahmed provided a first class service-brand new cars, agreeing the price in advance and not having to pay until the return journey was completed at the hotel-where would you get that in the UK!!! All in all a great place to stay for a week, in a good location & nice surroundings.

Room Tip: Block 10 has pool facing rooms, blocks 12 to 13 are within easy walking distance of pool area.

Just spent 7relaxing days with 7 friends at this fab resort. The room was exceptional it was cleaned daily by the brilliant Go Go he left an impressive animal towel on the bed each day.We all had amazing sea views in a quiet location close to all the hotel amenities. The food in the restaurant was excellent hats off to the brilliant chef's.... Our favourite waiters were Waleed and Peter they always tried to get us a table for 8 and were always friendly and attentive. Cant forget Abbu the pool waiter he was also great, as were the guys on the towel hut they saved 8 sun beds with towels in the same place each morning. Katie the hotel rep was brilliant she sorted out any issues we had in a fast effective manner. The annimation team were great always asking us if we wanted to join in the classes etc Thanks Maru you were great. The boat trip( booked at the hut on the beach) snorkelling and scuba diving was 1st class, safety was exceptional thanks to all the guys on the boat for a very enjoyable unforgetable experience. A visit to Nharma bay is a must. Would deffo recommend this place and will certainly go back next year.

Room Tip: Rooms close to the pool are excellent
