“Fantastic Holiday”
Reviewed March 4, 2014

What can I say. The hotel is fantastic and you cannot fault the service. stayed with 9 friends. and we all had a good time. Only gripe would be the breakfast got a bit repetitive and should be more variety. Will definitely go back one day.

Fed up with the recent rain at home we booked the Hyatt Regency on the internet for a last minute getaway.
The website looked good and reviews we read seemed positive, so, as independent travellers, off we went.
We booked half board, Feb 17th for 7 days.
As promised, the Hyatt's free mini was there to meet us at the airport and as we approached the hotel along a half mile floral driveway,----first impressions, looked promising !
Check-in gave a calm, informative and friendly welcome -----an encouraging start.
Our room was located amongst beautiful terraced gardens, though not too far to walk with ingenious landscaping and resort planning.
Our room had a fantastic sea view.
It was spacious, modern, extremely comfortable, spotlessly clean(and remained so throughout our stay with very efficient housekeeping staff) and had just about every amenity that you could possibly require. -----and what's more,---- everything worked !!
The whole resort was spotlessly clean and well kept.
There were 5 restaurants to choose from, each offering different menu selections and appealing to either a more formal or fun evening depending on your choice (The Souk, was great fun with a selection of stalls and food styles from around the world, cooking "short order" to your choice)
We would also thoroughly recommend the Sala Thai restaurant, which offered authentic Thai food served on the Sinai Peninsula !
All the hotel staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, efficient and attentive, but never intrusive.
Nothing was too much trouble, ----for instance, once you asked for Earl Grey as your preferred tea, "Early" Grey was there for the rest of the trip !!
The hotel has a calm, slightly faded elegance about it, not brash, not loud, but welcoming and accommodating.
It has its own beach and plenty of sunbeds, not cramped or restrictive.
We cannot offer higher praise to this great hotel and its warm friendly staff.
Having been regular visitors to the Canary Islands for winter sun, Sharm ,and especially the Hyatt , have made us rethink future plans and so it's goodbye Canary Islands and many more trips back to the Hyatt, a true oasis !! Thanks to everyone.
A truly memorable place to stay.

This was a return visit after enjoying it in 2006 and the first time for our two children (one and 5yrs). We wanted some half term sun so booked hoping that the hotel would be still of the same high standard.
Not disappointed at all. It's a beautiful setting, cleverly designed on a slope down to the sea with pools on three different levels and winding pathways. The pools and public areas are so pretty.
Although the hotel is 14 years old now, it it still a 5* resort with the level of service and genteel ambience making up for a few worn edges. Photos do not do this place justice.
The rooms are spacious and very comfortable with beautiful views of the Red Sea. We had sea front rooms which were splendid but I think most rooms have a sea view albeit over the next block's roof. It's all low level so views aren't spoiled. The bathrooms are a weak point and though perfectly serviceable and clean, could do with replacing.
The private beach leads out onto a coral reef which even our 5 year old could snorkel in and see some lovely fish. We had been scuba diving on our previous visit and it's stunning down there. Better than I had seen in the Caribbean.
The breakfast has something for everyone with 240 items. Everything is freshly baked and prepared on site and it's truly an impressive operation. I asked for herbal tea which they did not have but two days later the waiter had sourced some and brought it to our table. The shaded tables on the terrace have a beautiful view but inside is also very pleasant and airy with a huge water feature wall.
Overall the food is good quality. The souk is lively and offers a variety of different cuisines with a bit of entertainment (dancing and fire juggling) which our little boy loved. We had room service several times and the food was tasty and decent sized portions. Wine and drinks are a little pricey, however.
Best of all are the pools: set into rocks within the immaculately landscaped gardens with gently cascading waterfalls. The lazy river is like a man made lagoon with warm water in a loop. We could hardly get our 5 year old out.
The pools butlers, Ahmed and Ibrahim are so helpful and genuinely kind. Attentive without being at all intrusive. They would even put towels on our favourite beds for us before we arrived down in the morning. Ahmed was in charge of the lazy river where we spent most of our time. He kept an eye on the children, made sure to move the parasol so our toddler had shade throughout the day, took orders for the restaurant, booked treatments in the spa, found a lost sunhat. Just lovely. Touches like this are what make the Hyatt Regency a place to return to. Special thanks to Ahmed.
We hope to go again next year. Don't be put off by the news. Sharm el Sheikh is a super winter sun destination.
.

Room Tip: Rooms appear to be all of a similar standard. Most have sea views but the club rooms have sea front...

This is not the first time I have stayed at Sharm El Sheik Hyatt( because I love it so much), but it is the first time I have stayed in this suite. It is absolutely in the best location at the resort, with lovely views of the sea from the 2 balconies. The suites are very spacious and it's great having a washer and dryer to save on hotel laundry bills. The photos do not do the Resort justice ! It is a divine, relaxing holiday destination. We flew to Luxor which was an amazing day, we booked it online with sharmexperts.com. Thank you Assed "our guide" for giving us unforgetable memories.

It was the first time for the family to travel to Egypt and after two days of sightseeing in Cairo we came to heaven. We booked a pick-up form the airport and were greeted with a friendly smile, helped with the luggage and driven to the Hyatt. As we were booked into a Junior Suite at the Regency Club we were driven with Golf Cart to the separate check-in at the Club. The welcome was perfect and the suite with its own little terrace overlooking the Resort and with a relaxing view onto the sea. They have setup a proper bed for our daughter in the living room, not one of those uncomfortable extra beds you would usual get. We remember Mustafa (not sure if the correct spelling) and Julia at the Regency Club ... the two of them were extraordinary attentive, but the entire Team has done a superb job at all times. They remembered already after our first visit to the Club what we liked and had it ready without asking for it. They made our stay so much more enjoyable. The breakfast at the Club and the full breakfast in the Restaurant had everything you can wish for. The egg station always prepared your request to perfection. My wife and daughter loved the waffles and it was something they always looked forward to start of the day. The restaurants, fitness centre & Spa all looked great and the menu were tempting, but we were so well looked after at the Regency Club that we did not manage to use them.
My daughter loved the pool and especially the slide ... have to say it was fun as we all went down numerous times. Snorkling of the jetty was perfect for the ladies and you could rent the equipment from the Padi Dive Shop. I have done a total of 7 dives during the 5 day stay and loved them all. Twice I went on a two tank boat ride, which was well organised. The boat was great and the crew looked after us perfectly. We had enough water and freshly cooked food for our lunch stop. I did a total of 3 house reef dives which were stunning and very relaxing. The first was a guided one with Anna who has done a fantastic job showing us all there was to see. I was lucky to find a great dive buddy who enjoyed diving as much as I do ... we did up to 88 min no deco dives ... what else can you ask for!
We went out as well to Nama Bay and had a walk through the Souk and ended up at the Hard Rock Cafe as it was a special request of our daughter. Another day we went for a ride close to the hotel on a go-kart ... great fun !
Overall it was a wonderful stay and we can only recommend the Hyatt and especially a room at the Regency Club ... we did not want to leave and we already know ... we will be back !
Thank you so much to the Hyatt Team for giving us a memorable stay !

Having had a break from the resort for a couple of years after many previous stays, I was once again delighted to return. Having a short break from the English weather in Febuary decided to visit this wonderful resort again. Stayed in Regency as always as was impressed by the recent improvements all over the resort. All staff were as ever professional and delightful as always. Set aside any security fears as this place is as safe as anywhere in England. True 5 star not tourist 5 shields, ticks rosettes etc. Five star all the way. If you want to be spoilt in the True sense of the word, this is the place for you. Try it soon :)

Room Tip: Any Room is good having stayed all over, but good sea view room if you like the sea.

This hotel is truly amazing. Set in the most stunning grounds, with fantastic views over the red sea, you could not ask for better! Staff at the hotel were beyond helpful and couldn't do any more to ensure our stay was top notch. Food here is superb with a wide variety of fantastic restaurants including the beach side bar and the Thai restaurant serving up superb and authentic Pad Thai. The Souq contains several restaurants ranging from Egyptian to Italian and Chinese all serving delicious food in a fantastic atmosphere. Rooms are clean, airy and bright. The dive centre here is also brilliant. We cannot recommend this hotel enough. It will not disappoint and neither will the tremendously beautiful Sharm El Sheikh. A must stay if you are coming to visit this beautiful country.

Room Tip: Sea view rooms will not disappoint.
