Dear all,

Myself, husband two children went to the Pyramisa for our summer holiday this year.
Food was awful. Canteen slop and even the butter was off. The drinks were ok, though all of the spirits seem to taste the same. The room was pretty basic but clean.

The staff were really polite and could not do enough for you.

Be warned, you constantly get harrased around the pool by lookie lookie men, this we on the whole time we were there.

This was in the Cooperative brochure as a 5 star hotel, I dread to think what a 3 star hotel would be like.

We were talking to quite a few english people and they were all asking to be moved to different rooms as were dirty/ unsafe (we had a large nail in the middle of our bathroom floor, luckily we did not have toddlers and our children were in an ajoining room)

Avoid like the plague..!

Don't waste your money on this place dreadfull...!

Room Tip: Upgrade if you can

13 of us (6 adults, 7 kids) have just returned from the pyramids( sea magic as it is also known) and we had a lovely two weeks. The hotel staff were brilliant, Ahmed in the main piano lounge couldn't do enough for us and became a good friend who thanks to Facebook, we will stay in touch with! The animation team were excellent and really grasped the idea of entertainment. In particular was Ahmed who was their resident break dancer. All the kids loved him and his dedication to his job was clear from the first day to the last. He deserves a pay increase!!! The children loved the mini disco and the 2 smallest loved the kids club where the activities kept them amused for ours.
The food at the hotel was to be expected from all egyptian hotels, it was eatable but we were glad of the snack bar. Unfortunately this only opened at 3pm so we often missed lunch in the restaurant and waited, food did run out quickly due to the amount of guests at the hotel. Note to the manager- open it earlier.
We tried the 2 themed restaurants, the Indian was better than the chinese( don't forget to pre book)!
The sandy beach was lovely and the snack bar at the beach was the best by far. The beach was clean and the area where there was no reef made it easier for the smaller children.
The only thing that let the hotel down were the other guests, we were invaded by palestinians for the final 4 days and they were incredibly rude. Even the staff were apologising for their lack of manners and respect for the other guests.
We would recommend this hotel for families due to the animation team and staff. Look past any pathetic comments about cracked tiles and minor issues, this hotel is lovely and if there are any issues they are resolved as soon as they are reported.
Ahmed( animation) should be praised by the manager.

It was my first holiday in Egypt and I have nothing to compare this hotel. Service is satisfaction, but the main feature for me - the home reef. I have not seen another one reefs, but this one was not bad. Reef pictures attached :-)

After booking our holiday, I noticed some less than favorable reviews on here for this hotel so we were a little worried about our trip to Sharm.

We needn't have been - we had a lovely time.

The hotel itself on first impression is lovely with a massive opulent reception area. The rooms don't quite match this opulence and are fairly basic but what more do you need? The rooms we were allocated were spotlessly clean and well maintained with a stunning view of the sea from three balconies. The bathrooms (2 of them!) were also very clean and well appointed.

The pool area was lovely, clean and well kept and well supervised and beautifully lit at night!

The food was good (if a little samey after 10 days) but well prepared and the staff in all of the restaurants were superb (a special mention here to Ahmed in Fusion restaurant who made our visits here very welcoming). The staff couldn't do enough for us and we have some very fond memories of them.

The only down side - and this is in no way the fault of the hotel or the staff - was the number of Russians, Poles and Germans who tended to appear quite rude (especially to the hotel staff - so we went out of our way to be exceptionally polite!) but in the main, they kept themselves to themselves and didn't really bother us.

All in all, we had a fantastic holiday and would recommend this hotel. We traveled as a family of five with three children (16, 10 and 5) and they all had an excellent time (with the two youngest participating in the entertainment provided fully!) There were minor tummy upsets but nothing severe and quite frankly this is often to be expected - this was not the fault of the food as we all ate the same things and weren't all affected (in fact, three of us got away with no upsets at all!)

Room Tip: If possible, stay in one of the villas!

This was my 4th time to pyramisa previously known as sea magic. The staff at this hotel cannot do enough for u. The rooms are quite basic but clean. Food has been the best out of the four trips. They have recently employed new chefs and I found the food to be tasty and a good variety.
I love the fact this hotel has three beaches it's great it's such a large complex you never have a problem trying to find somewhere to sit on the beach. The service at this hotel is exceptional hence going back 4times. Have also booked to go dec/jan this year. If you are looking for somewhere reasonably priced and not too much luxury then this place is for u
