“New Year's Eve”
Reviewed March 8, 2014

We normally spend the new year in the Caribbean so when this was not possible due to family commitments a friend suggested Egypt. I have to admin to was sceptical but was really impressed with the atmosphere and attention to detail at the hotel and the holiday overall. We are already planning to spend next new year at the same hotel as it was the best party atmosphere and value for money we have experienced for many years. as an all inclusive hotel it did not scrimp on choice or quality and we would thoroughly recommend the tower coffee bar where they serve the best coffee and chocolate cake after a fabulous day lounging on the beach. The weather was warm and sunny and I returned with the deepest tan I have experienced for a winter holiday.
We spent New Year's Eve in the desert on the stargazing tour with only 6 others. We were not encouraged to go as it was new year but we wanted to be able to say we spent the new year stargazing and riding camels in the desert .......and still got back in time to change and join the gala dinner and the party to follow. I would thoroughly recommend this as an option.
We enjoy snorkelling and this was as good if not better that any we encountered of the shore in the Caribbean however conditions were a little choppy and restricted to swimming off the jetty in view of the lifeguards. Only suitable for those who are confident swimmers as you are off the reef and in deep water. However you do get treated with a beautiful array of exotic fish.

Room Tip: We stayed in one of only 2 rooms that are top floor and king sized bed, no adjoining door and a sea...

From the time we arrived we were delighted,we had missed dinner ( 22.00 pm) but only had to wait till 23.30pm and the restaurant opened again , HOW GOOD IS THAT so it was off to the bar for cocktails !! All the food was delicious and such a variety at every meal. The rooms are beautifully clean and comfortable ( one small thing there wasn't quite enough light). All the staff were spot on and the service fantastic they even came to your sun bed on the beach to take your order for drinks and brought a selection of cocktails around in the afternoon. Entertainment was great . One very disappointing thing was THE HOTEL advertises a swim up bar : but it is not to be used it is only for SHOW false advertising !!!!

Stayed 27 Feb to 6 March but wished we had booked for longer. Everything was great. It is a pity that the political situation is keeping guests away, needlessly as it is so far from Cairo hotspots! Very peaceful. Gardens are beautiful The staff- about the best we have come across, but we have found the service from Egyptions is always excellent. I would recommend this hotel to everyone. I have just thought of one negative! If you get a towel in the morning from the beach or quiet pool, you can only hand it in at the main pool after 1pm even though the towel guys at both former locations are in attendace all afternoon. Strange, but it is a minor gripe.

This was our second time at this hotel at the same time of year and another super stay .I could not believe how many of the staff genuinely recognised us again even the omelette man (although we did have omelettes nearly every day last year!). Many of the staff have been, there for years and are so great, nothing is too much trouble and at this time of year it is fairly quiet so they are wanting something to do so you may order coffees or drinks to keep them happy. There are a lot of repeat visitors to this hotel which speaks volumes.
The animation team were very good this year even better than last I think and the Brazilian boys and girls great at what they do both in the shows and the zumba and Aqua aerobics.
The food was good only 1 disappointing night in 20 and the a la carte restaurants are a nice change. The one disappointing one was the Egyptian which was the same menu as last year and too much food if there are only 2 of you and I think a few people we talked to felt the same way, maybe time to re-think this one.
We had asked for the same room and got it and most of the rooms are the same I think. I think the bathrooms are looking a bit worse for wear and whilst still adequate could do with smartening up.
However I definitely would go back here again

Room Tip: We stayed in block 14 and block 12 is also well situated near the activity pool (but not noisy). No...

Stayed here for one week. Best hotel we have ever stayed at. Fantastic food and drinks. Lovely gardens so well kept. The staff were so welcoming, polite and friendly. The animation staff were brilliant with their shows etc. Couldn't fault anything apart from one week wasn't enough.....

Just back from our second trip to Sharm el Sheikh. First time in this hotel. Room was spacious and very clean, food was varied and well presented and prepared, staff were professional and extremely friendly and attentive and grounds were beautifully kept. We were very impressed with the nightly themes which appeared in the outside dining area and Valentine's Day was especially well done with live music and a huge variety of decorations. The entire complex was meticulously cleaned as were the rooms. We were very impressed with all the staff we came in contact with but have to mention one of the waiters Mahmoud El Noby Ahmed who wanted us to reassure other possible travellers that the area is completely safe. He looked after us very well and we can only extend our sincere appreciation for that and to all the staff for making our holiday so memorable.

Room Tip: We had a room in block 21 which was adjacent to the relax pool and not too far from bars and dining...
