My Wife and I stayed at Club Magic Life from 17th to 28th March 2013 and enjoyed every minute.
Being our first stay in Egypt, we were a bit worried about security but there was no problem. Lots of guards and check points but all to keep you safe and secure.
Hotel is large with beautiful grounds for walking off your daily food intake. Main restaurant meals were wonderfull; hot with plenty of variety (but no bacon I'm afraid for breakfast). Thai, Meditaranian and Egyption themed restaurants are all exceptional. Excellent service and again plenty of variety with full waiter service. Highly recommended and worth the 30 minute queue to book (you queue to book for the next day's reservation).
Rooms are clean and kepy tidy. We didn't want to pay extra and settled for a garden view in Block 18. More than adequate; 2 double beds and flat screen tv with English movies; CNN news etc; soft drinks topped up daily in the fridge.
Pool was large and not a problem securing a sun bed at 11:00am (no 06:30 starts here). In March the pool was cold but a welcome relief from the 28 to 34 degree heat (oh yes). Pool bar snacks were limited but adequate. Good quick service and nice to sit around the pool for a coffee/cocktail or two.
For us, the beach was best (not so crowded as the pool). Lovelly stretch of sand to walk on for miles (fine shingle so beach shoes are best). You can also walk along the shallow water and see the coral/fish. Our beach has a long pier reaching to the point where snorkelling can take place to view plenty of fish in the crystal clear blue waters. When we were there several days the red flag was up to stop snorkelling but paddling from the beach was fine. Keep an eye out for the mother camal and her baby. Beach bar was excellent; quick service all day long.
Ultimate desert experience is a must do trip; VIP boat cruise/snorkelling was also great (if you can't swim strongly but still want to try snorkelling to see the fish you are VERY well looked after). We did the 'Friday Feeling' bar visits. Good fun but avoid the all-inclusive drinks upgrade at the Hard Rock Caffee (complete rip off)! Soho Square has to be done, but a bit disappointing; not quite the Trafford Center in the UK.
Plenty of day time entertainment and activities; evening entertainment was adequate (to be honest we were shattered by 10:00pm most nights).
Highly recommended hotel; we will visit again soon and have already booked out next Egypt holiday for 2014 (different hotel as we like to look around) but won't hesitate to try Club Magic Life again in the future.
Negatives/Improvements: Bar service in the evenings could be improved. Also, being the first on the coach pick up service for trips etc a 20 minute drive can take an hour (unless you go by taxi). In March, light to moderated winds can also cause a problem with rattling patio doors.
