Dear Miss Reid,

I’m so pleased to hear that your health has improved and you are ready to come back to visit us again. I am sure you will find that we have made some improvements over the last three years but we are still committed to the same high quality that you enjoyed last time you stayed with us.

My boyfriend and I booked an 8 night holiday to The Savoy over Christmas and I have to say what a magnicent holiday we had. The hotel is fautless, so clean and friendly. There are a choice of 14 different restaurant inc the hotel and Soho square and I have to say we did not have a bad meal (maybe purely luck). Our favourite I think was the hot rock restaurant and also the Japanese. They laid on a spectacular Christmas Eve dinner at the Egypt Hall on Soho square with great entertainment and food. The seafood restaurant is lovely to sit and have lunch and look over the beach and sea. We were recommended to go there by friends and will definitely be going back in the near future. A big thank you to Mohammed and Eid in the Safari Bar who made us so welcome.

Dear Guest,

It certainly wasn’t by luck that you did not have a bad meal. We commit a lot of time, effort and money into ensuring that we have the best produce (sourced both nationally and internationally) and prepared by the best chefs to provide you with your dining experience. I see you enjoyed the Hot Rock restaurant where you are given a super-heated piece of lava rock to cook your choice of meat or fish to your liking. It’s quite an experience isn’t it? Then the Teppanyaki with chef’s dazzling display on the Teppan (grill) combining his manual dexterity with his culinary skills.

Each one of our 14 à la carte restaurants has its own character and Seafood Island is no exception. Set on a promontory overlooking the beach and onwards across the Red Sea to Tiran Island in the Gulf of Aqaba, Seafood Island offers a variety of delightful fish dishes including catch of the day grilled or fried, filleted or on the bone. I’m so pleased you enjoyed them all.

Thank you for taking the time to write this review and sharing your experiences with the other readers on this forum and we look forward to seeing you again soon.

Kind regards,
Jacques PETER

Just got back from 10 days of pure heaven at The Savoy. 2nd time in 6 months and still as good.
I cannot fault this hotel. Great pools, fantastic house reef and over 15 amazing restaurants. Whatever food you like - they have a restaurant for you.
Will be back at Easter !!

Having returned from a visit last week, words cannot really do justice to this fabulous hotel. It is a hotel that really must be visited and I guarantee you will echo all the reviews that you read about here on TA.
You must go `S` class (all inclusive) to get full benefit of all the facilities. You have a choice of 5 restaurants within the hotel and a further 13 in Soho square (a complex at the front of the hotel)
Forget your usual `All Inclusive Dinning`. There`s no queuing at food counters with the usual ducking and diving to get to your selection. Only one restaurant, the `Tirana` is buffet selection and is the main breakfast/lunch/dinner restaurant. To dine elsewhere you simply choose your restaurant, contact reception and book for the time of your choice. Upon arrival, you are taken to your table, presented with the menu and you place your order, just as you would when `dining out`, no luke warm chicken being heated under a lamp here. It means superb food prepared to your liking every time. The huge choice of restaurants include Indian/Chinese/Italian/Thai/Sushi/Asian/Teppanyaki/Specialist Steak/ plus many more. Order your drinks and where appropriate, are placed in the ice bucket alongside your table. Visit the `Safari` bar for pre/post dinner drinks. A beautiful lounge with a relaxing ambience serving premium branded drinks, none of your cheap Barcardi Spanish substitute here. whisky-- Teachers/Jamesons/J&B. Vodka-Smirnoff. Gin-Gordons . Quality just oozes throughout the hotel and whole experience. Part of A/I includes complimentary spa massage, laundry cleaning, bowling/tennis/ice skating, Cinerama, stocked mini bar (beer & soft drinks) & free safe in room, tea/coffee facilities to name a few, Oh and all drinks in the Queen Vic Pub in Soho Sq. A Wellness & Spa centre with a fully equipped gym that would match any Fitness First facility.
Rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean as is the hotel throughout. Even with the hotel running at 90% capacity there is still plenty of room & beds around the pool and beach area`s. Even arriving around the pool at 11am, beds are still plentiful which means there is no "Dunkirk Invasion" where around 7am every morning, hordes of bodies creep out from all corners of the complex to place towels on `their` beds, an art that the Germans started but we brits have perfected. It is a real pleasure not to have to endure that farce every day.
I have to mention the staff, they are simply fantastic with a culture throughout of, "The Guest is King and our sole purpose is to ensure the level of service we provide is of the very highest standard". Morning and afternoon greetings are given with a huge smile whether it be from the guy cleaning the toilet or the hotel manager and one of the most efficient reception desks I have encountered. Nothing is to much trouble to ensure you have the perfect stay which explains why they have over 50% of guests at the hotel (every week) being previous visitors.
One experience I must share, we took lunch at the Seafood Restaurant which is situated at the bottom of the Gardens overlooking the beach and Red sea, a wonderful setting. We were shown to our table, the choice from the menu start with a selection of salads/appetizers followed soups followed by a choice of smoked salmon, king prawns, Lobster, sea bass, or local caught fish plus much more. Our bottle of wine was placed in an ice bucket along with water next to our table, my wine glass constantly being filled by the passing waiter. With the sun streaming down, I thought "life doesn't get much better than this".
Staying at this hotel is a truly wonderful experience, it was our first visit last year, we have a third visit booked this summer. In over 40 years its the only hotel we have ever made a return visit. That is the biggest compliment I can give it. A truly fantastic hotel and one you must experience for yourself.

Room Tip: Most Pool View rooms give you a sea view.

Dear Guest,
It is wonderful to read that our hotel and staff may be thought of as “Egyptian Treasures”. Nevertheless, it is true that we try to instill a sense of pride in our staff that they work in one of the best (if not the best) hotels in Egypt and they respond with such purpose and enthusiasm that brings the best out of us all. Your praise is very much appreciated.

But if you thought that “life doesn’t get much better than this”, you may well find that it gets better in the summer!

Thank you for taking the time to write this very detailed and comprehensive review and we all look forward to your return.

Kind regards,
Jacques PETER

Just returned from a week's stay on S class a/I at the Savoy, pleased to say it lived up to the reviews in almost all respects! Weather amazing, pools and beach excellent, Restaurants brilliant especially loved Seafood Island for lunch & Rosmarinos Italian restaurant. The Safari bar was our favourite drinking place where the staff Eade and the team were great! All staff very courteous and friendly however, one over friendly beach lifeguard thought he had served us well enough to deserve my husbands Oakley sunglasses as well as a tip and actually asked him to give them to him!! I'm not sure the Hotel management would have approved of this! Unfortunately this did slightly taint things for us!
Down sides were the 'Egypt Tummy' which my husband has suffered each time we have been to Sharm, though this is no reflection on the hotel whatsoever it may prevent us from returning!

Dear Guest,

Thank you for taking the time to write this review and to share your recent holiday experiences on this forum. We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay with us and that we met or perhaps even exceeded your expectations.

You are absolutely correct in that we certainly do not approve of one of our staff asking for your husband’s sunglasses. Unfortunately, we don’t have enough information to be able to identify this person but we have passed this on to all department heads to remind their staff in briefings that we take a particularly dim view of this sort of behavior towards our valued guests. Please accept our apologies and assurances that this is certainly not typical of the kind of people that we employ, nor is it typical of Egyptians in general. This man stands pretty much alone with his actions.

We are very sorry to hear of your husband’s tummy problems and hope that you can find a way to avoid it next time you come. We would not be allowed to mention any specific brands on this forum but all pharmacies here tend to suggest the same medication which I hear, appears to work very well.

Do give Egypt another chance – it has so much to offer.

Kind regards,
Jacques PETER

I booked a trip for my family to the Savoy through Fleetway Travel & was delighted to have secured the fantastic 'S' class package on offer - which gave an all inclusive food & drinks option in all 5 restaurants in the hotel but also another 10 further restaurants in Soho Square which is adjacent to the hotel - & a great entertainment centre in its own right. The offer included a sea view room and we were not disappointed in what we had heard & read about - which is that the Savoy is just about the best hotel in Sharm. You just cannot beat all the wonderful facilities including the 4 great swimming pools, first class service in & around the hotel & the private beach is literally next to an amazing coral reef which is brilliant for snorkelling. The 'S; class offer also included free ice skating & bowling with drinks included throughout Soho Square as well as the food though there are a few exceptions at the British pub. This holiday was almost a fine dining culinary experience as all the onsite & offsite restaurants offered great quality and there was just so much choice from Italian to Chinese to Indian to Thai to Sushi to steak etc. etc.. Add in proper Baileys & Limoncello back in one of the Savoy bars for a nightcap & what more could you want to top another glorious day at the Savoy! Praps the free massage on offer ........Maysey

Dear Guest,

We are delighted that you had such a wonderful time at the Savoy and found it to be “amazing value”. The Savoy Resort undoubtedly has more diverse entertainment and more restaurants, bars, cafés, snack bars and shops than any other hotel resort in Sharm El Sheik. And even though there is so much to do during the days and during the nights, there are always plenty of places where you can go to kick back and relax.

Thank you for writing this review and we do hope to see you again soon.

Kind regards,

I have stayed at Savoy hotel several times during the past several years, and I must say that this is an absolutely marvelous place to relax and enjoy, perfect beach destination. The staff is friendly, courteous and has the guests comfort and pleasure in mind at all times. Hotel restaurants and restaurants at Soho square are topdrawer, the staff is always pleasant, and food is amazing. An easy access to Soho square, its restaurants, shops and entertainment places is a great bonus for the guests of the hotel. Tennis and squash courts are amazing! We would spend almost every evening there before going out for a dinner. I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone! I cannot wait to get back there again!
