We have just returned from a weeks holiday in Sharm. We stayed at the Savoy which is an excellent hotel. During our week the staff were all friendly and attentive and always asked if everything was ok. We stayed on a half board basis which meant we were able to use the dine around facility both in the hotel and in near by Soho Square. The range and quality of food was again excellent, and as a family we did enjoy all meals in all restaurants. The Savoy has a large beach area compared to many in Sharm, and snorkelling from the beach is very good. As a family that dive we used the on-site diving centre, again a very friendly and professional bunch of people. We cannot recommend this hotel more highly and will certainly return. Having been to Sharm on six occasions this is the best hotel we have stayed in.

Great hotel with fantastic pools. Rooms clean and spacious, had a truly relaxing week. Bit confusing with the all inclusive or not. We didn't have all inclusive and the meals and drinks were not cheap, but the all inclusive seemed really expensive as an option anyway. Great beach, sea and really friendly helpful staff. Would return.

My friend & I had a really fantastic time staying at this superb hotel in February,, when everyone back home was in the cold!! We enjoyed the many restaurants, the proximity of their own beach and corral reef. There was entertainment on offer most evenings. Then we had nearby Soho City for many, many shops, bars and even more restaurants plus more entertainment.
The staff at the hotel were all very courteous and friendly. We came back home to UK refreshed & rejeuvenated - cant wait to go back there again!!!

Our second visit to the Savoy and we found it as excellent as in 2012. Rooms are simple, clean and spacious. Three pools and a beach offer plenty of space to relax in the sun. Restaurants in the hotel are excellent - we particularly enjoyed the asian food at East and Seafood Island on the beach - the latter serving lovely grilled fish and shellfish. The staff throughout the hotel are superb - always happy to help and do everything they can to make the holiday as pleasant as possible. The Safari Bar is a lovely place for pre or post dinner drinks (or both). We had one issue with service in a restuarant one lunchtime and returned to our room to find fruit and cakes as an apology. A manager then made a point of finding us the following lunchtime to check all was OK - impressive. We went S Class which I would recommend. We ate once in Soho Square at the Thai restaurant. It was disappointing - the restaurants in the Square have no character although the service impeccable. The Savoy is lovely and somewhere we would love to return to but.......Sharm airport is a nightmare. Massive queues to get through passport control when we landed. Some people will have spent 2 hours or more in this queue. On departure, our Monarch flight was delayed by 22 hours. Our care during this time was very poor, the airport was chaotic, facilities are appalling. We met people for whom this was the 2nd or 3rd time they had experienced this at Sharm. So once you get there the hotel is a joy but our travel experience means we will think long and hard about returning.

Room Tip: All rooms look good. Sea view can be a long way from the sea but on the top (third) floor.

Dear Reviewer,

Thank you for putting your faith in us once again and visiting SAVOY Hotel Sharm El Sheikh for your second vacation. Your comments are very valuable to us and we take each observation very seriously.

It prides us that our associates’ services lived up to your expectations and we also very pleased that you enjoyed our S-Class concept and all its facilities.

With regard to your comment about Mai Thai restaurant, we will pass it on to our Thai Chef and our Food & Beverage department who will, no doubt, give full consideration to your comments. Please be assured that we have our guests’ interest and comfort at heart during all our planning and decision-making.

We offer 14 authentic international dining options. Some are located in SOHO square; Bombay (Indian), Zen (Chinese), Luxor (Middle Eastern), Fusion 21 (Mediterranean Café), L’Entrecôte (Steak House) and Teppan-yaki and Sushi Bar (Japanese). In addition there is the Café Chino (Lebanese Café), and combined dining at Akuna Matata (Falafels, Mexican, Noodles, Mana Pizza, and Fish Market and Egyptian Fetir). In the Savoy there is the romantic Rosmarino Italian restaurant and Hot Rock where you can cook your own choice of fresh-caught fish or succulent, tender meat on a super-heated piece of lava at your table.

We look forward to seeing you soon and improving on “superb”.

I found it a very pleasing building to be in with public areas relaxing and artistically presented.
Delicious breakfasts catering for an international clientele. There are several high class restaurants located around one of the two pools, not to mention an alfresco beach restaurant offering healthy salads and seafood. The hotel has its own beach and a coral reef lies just a few metres off shore.
There was always in house entertainment. On request there was transport to local places of interest such as St Catherine's monastery in Sinai, Sharm the nearby town and a picnic in the desert. I found it a most relaxing holiday experience.

We have just returned from a fabulous week at the savoy, we were on the half board dine around package and cannot praise the food, restaurants or service highly enough. We had one of the best Indian meals at the bombay that we have had for a long time ( so good we went back the following evening!)
We had a upgraded pool view room on the ground floor, this was a little tired decoration wise but very comfortable bed, lots of tea and coffee and expertly cleaned everyday.
Lovely service on the beach our selected beds were reserved and towelled with pillows, snorkeling was amazing, lots of different fish and beautiful corals. We had a personal snorkle trip with one of the lifeguards taking us over to the other jetties,we were lucky enough to see a crocodile fish.
We have been to Egypt nine times always staying at different hotels and we honestly think that the savoy has been the best of them all,we would not hesitate to return.

Dear Guests,

I would like to cordially thank you for your very positive review of your recent stay at The Savoy Hotel. We are delighted that you liked our resort with all its facilities and services. Just to let you know that we are currently following a program of renovation of soft furnishings and we hope to have the last few rooms done shortly.
We are really pleased that you enjoyed the half board dine around – it seems like it was perfect for you. In addition, we offer several different packages, from B&B all the way up to our S-Class ultra all inclusive with the choice of 14 à la carte restaurants with cuisines from around the globe.

We are very proud of our reef which is renowned as one of the best in Sharm. Dive boats often come to our bay in search of the best fish and corals. But you can see so much just with a mask and a snorkel. The Red Sea has the greatest diversity of corals and marine life on the planet … and it’s on our doorstep.
Once again, we are so glad you enjoyed your stay and we thank you for recommending our resort. And by the way, we think that the Savoy is the best of them all too!

Warmest regards,
Hotel Management
