“Excellent Hotel”
Reviewed March 15, 2013

This hotel exceeded our expectations - it was exactly what what was featured on booking.com and more. Facilities were excellent but it was the staff that took this hotel to the next level. NOTHING was too much trouble from the moment we arrived to the day of departure. One young member of our family is wheelchair dependant and they made sure that we had a lovely accessible family room close to the pool and restaurants. All the staff including waiters, bar staff, cleaners, pool attendants and the management team went literally out of their way to help us everyday - above and beyond what we would ever have expected and the animination team made both our boys (15 and 4yrs) feel very special:-) I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone, including those who have motability difficulties, although it would be a real advantage if they could offer walk-in showers which would have made life a little easier during our stay. Will defininately be returning next year.

1/ We stayed there one week, early March 2013. It is a new hotel, with
construction work continuing in the levels close to the sea, not a problem
for most guests, lodging at the superior platforms of the hotel

2/ I read that most guests write extraordinary good comments about this new hotel.
And it is true that the hotel, even for standard rooms, has very good big rooms, perhaps
the largest of their category in Egypt. Also, it is a pleasure not to have to wear the
"bracelets" so common at other all ins. The personnel is very dedicated, like it is the case
at many other hotels in Egypt. But there is often a lack of organization at the restaurants. Also the main swimming pool is very well heated, not always the case
at other hotels.

3/ But in the following points, I feel good to moderate the enthusiasm of some other
reviews. The prices for Jan to early March have been very low, to fill the starting hotel,
and this may explain some "too good" comments. As of now they have increased to
"normal" levels. Anyway it looks like early March the hotel was full, not the case at all other places in Egypt. As a result, on the day of departure, all guests had to leave their room at noon, even for the plane leaving at 11.00 pm, no way to pay some money to keep the room.

4/ Food at the international buffet: it was ok even if like often at "all ins", it was difficult to get hot food. A nice point is that you can eat outside on a large terrace, no birds or problems,
even if the mosquito season just started.
Other free restaurants (there are 4 of them, Indian, Thai, French, Italian): Not at all top quality, especially if compared to so some other free theme restaurants at other chains in Egypt.
Also, the reservation system if not efficient at all. It would be much better that guests go
and reserve restaurants from one or two PC operators.

5/ WIFI, good that it is free. But a pity to have it only working outside and not in the rooms and the lobby. Also, not very powerful, but this is often the case at" all ins".

6/ The lobby and many rooms are on the top of (almost) a hill, there are like 10 floors to walk
on stairs from the lobby to the beach, like 150 to 200 steps, not pleasant for some guests , especially when the hot months will come now. When going down you pass through several levels of rooms and swimming pools, more luxury when closer to the sea. (but all rooms are
top level quality)

7/ Nice beach, a little small for the size of the hotel like often in Egypt. Also the sea has not been leveled/ arranged at all, so families cannot walk in the sea. You can go to a very short jetty, where the snorkelers can swim. The Italian restaurant is just above the beach level, so
you can eat there at noon (without reservation)

8/ Otherwise, all is clean and new, a real pleasure. And I guess that excepted for the "hill" aspect, most other points above can be corrected...

9/ In summary, a good new hotel, I just wanted to explain a few points, which for
some reasons, do not often appear in the other reviews.

I booked this holiday through Thomas Cook and then read some of the reviews about the hotel being unfinished. I nearly cancelled the holiday as I was so worried that our experience, which was in celebration of a special birthday, would be spoiled. How wrong I was!

From the moment you step into this hotel you know you are in good hands. From the relaxed, welcoming arrival to being shown around in a golf buggy en route to a spacious spotlessly clean, delightfully decorated room, you just feel relaxed. Previous reviews are correct, the staff truly are exceptional with waiters, pool attendants, animation team and cleaners always stopping to chat to you (should you wish to converse) and having a laugh and a joke with you too. Nothing is too much trouble for them and it’s not for tips – they are genuinely out to make you feel welcome and happy at the resort. You will see the same faces day in day out, clearly working from the crack of dawn until after midnight, yet are always bright, polite and charming. The food at the buffet is great (particularly the pancakes and toffee sauce at breakfast which I am having withdrawal symptoms from!) and I would suggest that those who felt the choice was limited don’t have a very diverse diet! I tried the indian and thai restaurants during my stay; the indian was outstanding and the thai was very tasty. Oh and the pina colada's were incredible!!

The complex is large and there is some cosmetic work still ongoing to the swim up suites but it doesn’t affect your stay at all. My partner and I took walks each day and night down to the beach (you can do so via steps through the centre of the resort or via the slopes at the side of each resort) and hardly noticed a thing. It’s worth a trip by the way to see the abundance of tropical fish through the crystal clear waters.

All in all, I have no hesitation in giving this hotel 5 stars, covering all aspects of my experience, from the hotel itself to the general quality of my stay. The attention to detail, down to sewing kits in the rooms, the letter and fruit basket from the manager on our second day and just the generally welcoming atmosphere across the complex and from all staff is remarkable (thanks for the birthday cake and sing song too!). So many factors made this a really memorable stay and I would most definitely stay at this fabulous resort again.

The week in this hotel could hardly have been bettered. The food was outstanding, the beer and wines acceptable and the room itself was excellent. The pools were clean and well policed by Lifeguards who seemed to know what they were there for, to ensure a good time was had by all and not to be "officious".There is a Gym on site which is well equipped by hotel gym standards, although the lay out and use of the available space was poor. The only downside of the entire holiday, and this is not the fault of the hotel but is something they need to get together with other hotels and businesses to solve, is the arrival and departures at the local airport. It took about as long from landing to get through the numerous queues for landing cards, visas, customs, passport control etc as the flight from London. The place is undermanned and many of the staff (in my opinion) surly and obnoxios. We almost certainly will not go back to Sharm and I must emphasise this is not the fault of the hotel.

It was our first time visiting Egypt and we have to say that we probably found one of the best hotels, from the rooms, to the pool, too the staff everything was more than what we expected. The staff where brilliant and made the holiday for us going far further than expectations especially Ahmed from the guest service center. The rooms where clean and tidy and couldn’t fault them at all, just like the rest of the hotel. We are very tempted to book again for this year.

This was our first experience of all inclusive and we loved it. Staff were exceptional, food excellent and everywhere was spotlessly clean. We were made to feel that we were important, nothing was too much trouble and we will certainly return.
Only gripe was the constant loud music that played most of the day. The majority of the guest appeared to be relaxing and reading and we just wondered if it may be worth asking people if they wanted music playing all the time as in this age of i players it is possible to listen to your own choice of music without being subjected to a strange mixture of noise that interferred with the beautiful, relaxing ambience. Just a thought. Thank you all for a great time.

I came back from this holiday totally relaxed. This hotel is truly all inclusive, without those annoying wristbands which you have to wear- like some prisoner - at other all inclusive establishments. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly and see to your every need without being sycophantic or intrusive. The hotel itself, whilst not yet finished, is as close to five star as any I've stayed at in Sharm el Sheikh and elsewhere in the world. The rooms are spacious and spotless, with fridge, safe ,large TV,bathrobes and slippers etc.
The food is of a high standard, and the wine is very acceptable. We went to the Indian , Thai and French restaurants (which you have to pre-book) and all were very good, with the Indian being extremely good. The Italian restaurant by the beach is very pleasant for lunch.
We were on a 'girls' holiday' and felt very safe. The staff could not do enough for us - there was even someone coming around the poolside to clean our sunglasses! What more can a girl ask?
I would warn anyone with mobility problems to make sure they have a room on the highest level ,as there are several levels leading down to the beach, which would not be accessible without difficulty, if at all.
My friend used the spa facilities for a massage, which she said was extremely rigorous but ultimately very relaxing.
We did not snorkel or dive, but talked to those who did and they were very pleased with both.
All in all , I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel for a truly excellent holiday.

Room Tip: It's a very long uphill walk to the restaurants if you are on a lower ,ie nearer the beach, leve...
