“Rip off.”
Reviewed August 17, 2013

Been to Egypt 13 times, been to Naama Bay at least 6 times. Went in Feb, no more, ripped off. Price for Shisha, water and beer 300le, £30 English. Never known it before, dont go. The place was called something Golden. Egyptian people dont rip you, Rogues. They need to be closed down, you have been warned. They will put good honest Egyptians out of business, DONT GO.

“Great evening out”
Reviewed August 15, 2013

Visited from last Friday (9/8/13) 9pm-1130pm from our hotel about 20 mins away. Had a great time - went to top of Za Za's - great views over whole of the area. Yes got stopped every few steps by bar staff and shop staff but never any hassle and always a smile and see you later. Was really busy with locals and families, not many tourists which was nice. Bargains galore if you haggle right or walk away. Had a great beer and fresh water melon shisha on the main strip.

I understand some of the reviews posted but we would happily go back in the evening, think it may be too hot on a summers day though.

“Naama Bay - Worth it for shopping”
Reviewed August 13, 2013

During a recent visit to Sharm, we decided to venture into Naama Bay to see the nightlife and shopping possibilities, so here's what we found..

We arrived around 18:00 when it was still light, and to be fair a little on the hot side. The shopping area is divided into three main streets and a rather plush centre. All of the shops offer a "hassle-free" experience, but the truth is once you're in, they've got you. Saying that there was never any concerns, and all the hassling was always with a happy smile, and never got too aggressive.

When the sun went down the serious action started. People began to arrive into the main street of restaurants, which entice you in via free Wi-Fi and football on LCD's. All of these seem pretty similar to any street bars, so take your pick!

I would recommend at least 3-4 hours here, as you can shop and haggle to your hearts content. Whatever price they start at, at least half when you start, and think of a price you'd be happy to pay for in the UK (knowing that it's probably a copy) and go from there.

We hired Segways to bomb around on, which was different, but be warned 2x bored teenagers vs the nightlife vs dark roads do not mix well without injury or a few swear words..

“Good at night”
Reviewed August 12, 2013

Good for shopping, but more expensive than the Old Market and you get hassled. However, the beaches are nice and you can see all the fish near the beach. The area comes to live at night (9pm onwards).
