When we arrived....well, we found a room with two single beds not with a double one ( as they show on their website ), we asked for another one but they sent us someone who just pushed the two beds together!...which I could have done myself! Then I went personally to speak with the head receptionist ( very rude ) and he said....in two days we'll give you one with a king size bed....results: nothing ever really happened!!!! A part from him, the others don't speak very well either English or Italian ( the 2 main languages in Sharm.) We also found a chair on the balcony that was cracked and dangerous if you sat on it! Again we asked two different people on reception if they could change it, at least three times during our first week, but nothing happend!!! Anyway we found sleeping very difficult during the first night ( not only us...) because there's a lot of noise from the clubs and the planes that are flying in, they pass quite close to Hotel!! !Don't ask for a wake up call as you won't get it. We tried twice but nothing! Last but not least we found several long black hairs around...!
The food : very, very basic: breakfast is ok, but lunch and diner are very repetative and there's not much variety at all. After a week you had enough. Pasta is always cold, the cheese was like plastic! The only "good" night was egyptian night....so why don't they do what they do well instead of trying to cook european food?
The pool: is nice and there's a nice view. The pool attendant is friendly and efficent.
The guests: full of low class italians: avoid august!!!
Generally this is a hotel for those who don't have a big budget...if you are in search of any luxury or similar: this is not the place for you (defenetetly not a Boutique Hotel)...if you are looking for a place near clubs and you are with your friends this Hotel may be the one for you.

When you go cheap and cheerful you tailor your expectactions accordingly what you do not expect is the manager to haggle over the previously agreed room rate and then attempt to fleese you on the exchange rate, this is exactly what happened to us when we checked into this hotel, the agreed rate of $90 a night was bumped up top $120, we got this rectified and then was informed that the rate would be paid in Egyptian Pounds (reasonable enough given we where in Egypt) but not at the inflated hotel rate….. We all know hotel exchange rates are atrious but the rate we were quoted was off the charts. This set the tone for the 'service' the hotel offered, they attempted to exploit you at every opportunity. The rooms are very basic, dirty, and the sewage plant behind the hotel does not help!!
The hotel sits atop a hill overlooking the beach and does have 132 steps which lead down to the beach if you are feeling energetic.

All in all a very unhappy exoperience which is neither cheap nor cheerful

I was worried before I left, as the reviews on trip advisor were quite negative for this hotel, it was a great surprise to arrive and find a cracking hotel with excellent staff. I was made to feel welcome from the moment I walked through the door. The negative reviews were prior to a huge refurb last year, it is now under new management by a Finnish lady, she closed the hotel for a while and totally refurbished it. It is now a clean, fresh and stylish hotel with very friendly staff and an air of quality beyond its stars. The food was also excellent.

It was a bit of a hike up and down the external stairs to the beach/town but the excersise is good for you !!!

There was a fair bit of nightlife noise filtring through from the centre of town.

Tip: Alchohol is much cheaper in most the bars in town and water is much cheaper from the local shops than from the hotel.
Sharm itself can be a place where the locals try to rip you off, most established bars will have a menu with the drink prices in, however be wary of the street bars that will charge you a premium if you let them, they tend to not have a menu so ask for the prices before you order.

Rooms - spacious and clean with walk in showers, no bath. Those overlooking the pool seem to be quieter than those at the front of the hotel.
Food - good- reasonable choice both morning and evening
Staff- excellent - they really make the hotel and were very friendly, particularly the waiting/bar staff
Pool area - good but when the hotel is busy you do need to save a sunbed, they could do with more

Overall the hotel was super with excellent views of the bay. My only moan would be the 100+ steps down to the beach/resort. However you do get used to it.

Beware though drinks in the hotel are very expensive e.g Vodka (small) and tonic £8.00 and a bottle of beer £ 4.50. It is slightly better in town but not much. Also the hotel is very quiet at night with only the bar available.

Hotel is nice but the first rooms they showed us were in the new section. No elevator was available, there was not hot water in the showers and the rooms seem unfinished and dirty, especially the bathrooms and the blanket/sheets of the beds.
We complained and the following day they moved us in the older section, just above the reception and the pool area. The difference was staggering. Very nice and large rooms, plenty of hot water and the bathroom were very spacious and clean.
The restaurant menu doesn't have much variety but the food is very fresh and staff member very kind and helpful.
We couldn't get the wireless broadband to work but there is an internet cafe just 5 minutes from the hotel.
It’s one of the easiest hotels to reach if you rent a car as the parking is on the hotel grounds, very close to the reception, unlike many other hotels in Sharm and Naama Bay.

Overall I was very happy with this hotel. It was clean, located away from the noisy downtown and very luxurious. I saw some previous negative comments and I am actually not sure if they wrote about the same hotel. When we were there it was very quite and relaxing. No obnoxious tourist. I did not try their food, but the breakfast for decent. They have a patch to the beach which is associated with the hotel so you don't have to pay for the chair.

One thing my husband was annoyed with, and that is why I gave 4/5 votes for the service is the strictness of the staff regarding alcohol at the pool. We were waiting for our car to pick us up to Dahab and we checked out in the afternoon. Of course the car was late (common in Egypt) so we were bored and bought some beer at the grocery store to drink by the pool. The main manager walked by us, smiled and said nothing, but she told a bartender to come out and yell at us for drinking. I guess giving the previous comment they had problems with people drinking by the pool before so the new rule is to drunk by the bar only with hotel's alcohol but come on she could not tell us that herself? Plus they only way they sell alcohol is by charging you to your room. Hello, we already checked out, how are we suppose to pay?

Honestly it's not even that big of the deal, it just left a little disappointment at the end for such a nice hotel. On the bright side we got upgraded to a nice sea view room.
