We stayed at Domina King's Lake Resort with our 6yo son for 12 days and pretty much enjoyed the holiday. The hotel is located really close to the airport. Customers were mainly really nice people and not too noisy. There were mostly Italians, some Russians, Estonians and locals.
Beaches and pools.
We chose to stay at King's Lake and not Prestige because of its closeness to beach. The rooms are definitely better in Prestige, but the lake beach compensates it all. The lake beach is the best, it is good to walk in the water and build sand castles. We also visited some pools. The main pool area is really noisy and is suitable for younger people who want to party and have fun. Elisir pool near the reception has a pool bar and you can order drinks right from the pool.
My special thanks go to the lake's lifeguard Mahmoud who was really friendly and helpful, my son loved to talk with him and he never rejected him. The other lifeguard (unfortunately don't remember the name) was also working really hard and the beach was always in good order and clean. The main problem is that there is no aquapark in the huge territory. It would be really nice to have at least some water pipes for children. It was prohibited to jump in the pool, so it was a little bit boring for our child who really likes to be active in the water. It is not needed to wake up early in the morning to reserve a sunbed, because there are always free sunbeds available - this was so positive, because in many hotels we have found out that all the sunbeds are reserved although nobody uses them.
We had half board package with breakfast and free dinner consisting of 3 courses. Breakfast at Elisir restaurant was fabulous and the service was the best. My special thanks go to Magdy, he is really outstanding, he is so helpful and quick that he seemed to be everywhere and had time to serve every customer. He definitely did more than was asked and noticed our needs without asking. For dinner we visited 3 restaurants - Petrus grill house, Pizzeria and Venezia fish restaurant. These were all great, but Petrus was our favourite.
Mini Club was the worse I've met and this was because of 2 Russian animators. I really think they should not work in a place like this. They were selectively friendly and not very kind. The Italian male animator was funny and no bad critiques for him. One day there was a pizza party for children. This means that children had to make the pizza themselves and later eat it. This was done without washing hands!!! Many kids got sick after that. After that incident we did not take our kid there anymore and just visited the mini disco. Mini disco was fun and children enjoyed it very much.
Rooms are little bit tired already and really need some renewal, especially the bathroom. But the room itself was clean and tidy.
There is an open-air gym with good equipment, located near the entrance to Elisir Spa. I loved the sea view while doing sports and a sea breaze was well conditioning, so it was never too hot.
We will definitely visit Domina King's Lake on our next holiday, it is good place for resting and relaxing.
