“Great beach, tasty food and good service, free wifi all over the area”
Reviewed April 15, 2013

We stayed at Domina King's Lake Resort with our 6yo son for 12 days and pretty much enjoyed the holiday. The hotel is located really close to the airport. Customers were mainly really nice people and not too noisy. There were mostly Italians, some Russians, Estonians and locals.
Beaches and pools.
We chose to stay at King's Lake and not Prestige because of its closeness to beach. The rooms are definitely better in Prestige, but the lake beach compensates it all. The lake beach is the best, it is good to walk in the water and build sand castles. We also visited some pools. The main pool area is really noisy and is suitable for younger people who want to party and have fun. Elisir pool near the reception has a pool bar and you can order drinks right from the pool.
My special thanks go to the lake's lifeguard Mahmoud who was really friendly and helpful, my son loved to talk with him and he never rejected him. The other lifeguard (unfortunately don't remember the name) was also working really hard and the beach was always in good order and clean. The main problem is that there is no aquapark in the huge territory. It would be really nice to have at least some water pipes for children. It was prohibited to jump in the pool, so it was a little bit boring for our child who really likes to be active in the water. It is not needed to wake up early in the morning to reserve a sunbed, because there are always free sunbeds available - this was so positive, because in many hotels we have found out that all the sunbeds are reserved although nobody uses them.
Restaurants.
We had half board package with breakfast and free dinner consisting of 3 courses. Breakfast at Elisir restaurant was fabulous and the service was the best. My special thanks go to Magdy, he is really outstanding, he is so helpful and quick that he seemed to be everywhere and had time to serve every customer. He definitely did more than was asked and noticed our needs without asking. For dinner we visited 3 restaurants - Petrus grill house, Pizzeria and Venezia fish restaurant. These were all great, but Petrus was our favourite.
Mini Club.
Mini Club was the worse I've met and this was because of 2 Russian animators. I really think they should not work in a place like this. They were selectively friendly and not very kind. The Italian male animator was funny and no bad critiques for him. One day there was a pizza party for children. This means that children had to make the pizza themselves and later eat it. This was done without washing hands!!! Many kids got sick after that. After that incident we did not take our kid there anymore and just visited the mini disco. Mini disco was fun and children enjoyed it very much.
Room.
Rooms are little bit tired already and really need some renewal, especially the bathroom. But the room itself was clean and tidy.
Gym.
There is an open-air gym with good equipment, located near the entrance to Elisir Spa. I loved the sea view while doing sports and a sea breaze was well conditioning, so it was never too hot.
We will definitely visit Domina King's Lake on our next holiday, it is good place for resting and relaxing.

Room Tip: Rooms on 2nd floor have better view but for families with babies 1st floor is better, because it is...

Had booked this hotel as a last minute option and got a pretty good deal for an all inclusive package. The suite was very spacious and clean with a balcony overlooking the Domina's "Kings Lake" a man made lake right in the heart of this large hotel resort, fresh fruits and water upon arrival as well as fluffy bathrobe and slippers was a great plus.
The only downside was the airconditioning being a bit noisy, having said that, I am a very light sleeper and don't like any artificial noise, so it might have been just me. ;)
The breakfast, lunch and dinner at the Coral Restaurant was great and plentyful, loved the fresh cafe latte!! My advice: Be there as early as possible to avoid the huge crowd flogging in and consuming the best "crumbs".
Great also, the free drinks option with the all inclusive deal including alcoholic beverages as much as you can possibly drink.
I would like to give special thanks to the Diving Centre team, Wael and his colleagues. I had a great time onboard the all day sailing and snorkeling trip towards Tirana Island and its Coral Reef. That's an absolute must program for anyone staying at Coral Bay! My suggestion: Go for the small wooden sailing boat, it only takes a small amount of people approx. 15pax. You will be taken to three different areas for snorkeling at your hearts content. They even serve a tasty lunch with variety of freshly grilled fish!
Last but not least Coral Bay offeres a great choice of entertainment, shops, night clubs and music bars with excellent musicians and even a great Musical "Zorro" in the desert under the stars (been played once a week only - not to be missed!!!). During my stay I was treated to some lovely tunes from some quite famous Italian musicians who fired up the crowds and during one evening there was a "Miss Domina" model competition with a catwalk and life music under the stars. - Much better choice of entertainment than at Savoy/Soho Square.
Can't wait to return next year!

Room Tip: Request for a room on the second floor and you will be rewarded with a pretty morning view over the...

King's lake is part of the Domina Coral Bay Resort. The Resort offers several hotels with several level of standards and services. King's Lake is the 2nd highest at Domina Coral bay.

My first advice is: be aware of what you chose when you book any hotel within Domina Coral Bay resort (there are 6). Every one is different in terms of what is included vs not included and prices vary a lot too. The resort is huge with several restaurants, shops, pools and beaches.

We chose Domina Coral bay under advice of some friends and because apparently they are the only ones with a pier where large boats can depart for the dive site, meaning you do not need to go to the Sharm el Sheik port.

Overall we had a great stay at King's Lake. The rooms are spacious and quiet with a nice view on the artificial salt lake. The artificial lake is great for having a swim or sunbath as it reproduces a normal beach slowly descending into the water. It is great for families with little kids as they can play safely on the sand and in the water.

The room package also included:
- free access to the nice spa where you have several pools, turkish baths and so on (but massage is extra and quite expensive)
- access to the Sultan beach that is smaller than the main beach therefore with fewer people.
- access to almost all the restaurants (we booked full board), in particular we liked 'Sandy Lane' for having lunch on the beach and 'Venezia' for a nice dinner, and breakfast at Plaisir was simply fantastic!
- use of mini-cabs to go around the resort (pending availability that was good as it was low season)
- free wifi across the resort (not that fast but it worked)
- dedicated assistance in case of any need.

The diving was great, the guys at the center are really friendly, professional and competent. The equipment is in good state. We recommend going to Dahab and Ras Mohammed, a short trip by car.

The resort also proposes a huge list of activities you can do (camel riding, quad ride, desert trip, etc) but we did not take any.

I highly recommend this. I did not gave 5 star only because the rooms are a bit dated and could be refreshed, this said the personnel made good effort to keep them clean.

Please consider that we went at low season, at high season the situation could be ver different as the full resort can take 4000 people that is quite a crowd. Also consider that this destination is very famous in Italy and Russia so you will find a lot of italians and Russian there, like it or not.

Room Tip: Make sure your room overlooks the 'salt lake'. I think there are some that just have view on...

13 of recently stayed at the Domina Coral Bay complex. Some were at the Prestige, some at the Oasis and we were at the King's Lake. With each hotel come its perks: we had breakfast included (very tasty, reasonable amount of choice), access to the gym and spa (liked both), golf cart pick-ups on demand (necessary considering the size of the complex!) . The rooms were nice - maybe not the best but clean and comfortable. The beaches at Coral Bay have beautiful reefs so don't forget your mask and tuba!! There also is a fab diving centre within the complex. I highly recommend it! We honestly had a great break. There aren't many tourists in Sharm right now which is very regrettable. That said, this complex is so big that I wonder what it is like when it is full.... I dont think I would enjoy it. as much.

Summer 2009.
In last august we were in Domina Coral Bay. At the beginning I must say that it was not our
First visit this country, so we have with what to compare. Domina Coral Bay consists of 5
Hotels. So, the territory is huge, but this hotel is for those tourists who like big territory.
Every hotel has its swimming pools, bars and restaurants.
Well, we lived in ‘King’ . Its only hotel that hasn’t swimming pool, but it has a sold lake,
Where only tourists of this hotel can swim. This lake is sold, clean and rather big. But we
also like to swim and snorkel in the sea. This hotel has its big colorful and very beautiful
Coral reef. And entrance to the sea was from two big pantones. Inside each pantone there were
Swimming pools with sea water.
So some words about meal. There were some disadvantages. There weren’t much choice
And tickets for water and alcohol were terrible. There also weren’t enough tables and seats in restaurants.
Now, some words about animation. For us this aspect is always very important, because
We like amazing and active rest. So, animation is not bad. There were a lot of animators
Because each hotel needs its volleyball, gymnastic and so on. On the beach every day you
Can dance Latino – salsa, mamba, bachata, and play volleyball. Near the main pool there were
stretching and water gymnastic. The big adventures of Domina is a professional group of dancers, that danced every evening. Costumes and music were very professional.
One more positive thing is Spa centre – it was fantastic.
In conclusion I want to say that we like this hotel, everything was good and only meal was
Not fantastic!

Was an unforgettable holidays, in an excellent high class resort.Everythng was perfect, an excellent breakfast, private salt lake beach, the snorkelling is also great especially early morning with full of fishes and colourful corals! The sea was really clear and the staffs were extremely attentive and helpful. A night entertainment was very good with different shows in different places. An Egyptian food restaurant was excellent, we really enjoyed de diner in that place. The staff every time is trying to keep everything cleans (beaches, pools, bedrooms…) and perfect for your pleasure. Thank you for these fantastic days.
