From the moment we arrived at reception we were taken care of by Waleed on reception and the other staff. We were 'All Inclusive' . The room was clean and comfortable. The TV was from the nineties (we had not gone on holiday to watch TV). The toilet door handle was falling off. On the plus side, the bed linen was changed daily, as was the towels. The shampoos, conditioners and moisturising lotions were replaced by Hannay (the cleaner) when they had run low. The safe was free and easy to use. Envelopes, paper & pens were supplied. The food is varied and very good, Mohamed the Chef is is pleased to cook on request, as are all the chefs both Mountainside and Beachside (Adel) who regularly asked how they can improve what they provide. The service at the tables is very efficient and friendly. I can also recomend the Japanese Resturant in Beachside for the food and the entertaining method of cooking it in front of you. The barstaff are efficient and friendly. Salah (The barman) was happy to discuss Egyptian culture and thoughtfully explained and demonstrated Arabic writing to us. Many thanks also to Islam from ETS who is a graduate from Cairo University and had detailed knowledge of ancient Egypt and the Sinai who was helpfull in explaining the history (even though this is outside his remit). Nicola helped my wife with finding books and her other quieries at other times. The towel service at the pools and beach is free. The Beach is clean and tidy. Although I think it would be a good idea to have a sign up as to what is 'All Inclusive' there. I would recomend snorkling, the fish are large, colourful and are unafraid of swimmers. Naama Bay for shopping is Hawkers paradise. If we had not been constantly pestered we may have made purchases as it was we left empty handed. In Soho Square Hawking is not allowed so you may be free to browse. Transport to and from Soho Square is free and arranged by Waleed in reception and is punctual. Sadly, the political situation did not allow for trips to be made outside Sharm El Sheikh for westerners, but this is outside the control of the hotel. Although I have named some staff, all, from the gardeners, security staff, all staff were friendly and eager to help. They made our holiday what it was and we thank them for it. We would recommend this hotel.

Totally friendly stuff and rooms was so comfortable.. wide swimming pool ...different caffe and restaurants walkable . ....special thanks for Mr Abd Alaziz from reservation department .
I will advise all my friends to visit Sharm El Sheikh Marriott Hotel, just one point I wish to see in the Marriott Hotel, which is that televisions are changed as soon as possible.

Marriott Resort - Mountainside Sharm El Sheik
Just back from short break at this hotel -whilst the weather was amazing and beds were comfortable, service was poor and staff were unhelpful as well as very slow. Evening meal left overs still at poolside the next day being eaten by birds, breakfast tables we're not cleared, canteen feel to the whole of the eating area.
No comprehension to the all inclusive concept, confusing and restrictive. I expected more from the Marriott brand, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in Sharm!

Have just got bach from a 7 night stay at the mountain side of the resort. Was a fantastic holiday, weather was perfect, resort clean & immaculate, staff polite & helpful. Rooms are a little tired & could do with a makeover but they are clean & have everything they need. We stayed all inclusive & the food was lovely. Ahmed who works at the pool bar & in the restaurant was always there to welcome us & Mohamed looked after us well during our meals. The cleaner was always smiling & so polite. Not 5* to English standard but we didnt expect it to be. We had a wonderful stay & would definitely come back to this resort.

Was disappointed with the hotel , I think this was due to my extensive travel and in the main I stay in Marriotts all over the world and enjoy the very high standards and in the main consistency around the world with great brand and service>
Im sorry to say that this hotel (mountainsaide) did not meet theses standards.
I booked this hotel for a hen party, I personally choose this hotel as I say my normal experience is fanatstic and Im a Silver Elite holder.
The start of the holiday was when checking in reception there was only I person , who was not very happy, with 12 of us checking in this took some time.
The room was very shabby for a 5 star Marriott was not what I am use to the room as very tired, the curtains need replacing , the bathroom needs upgrading,not that clean.Definitely not Marriott standard.

Clearly the Marriott do not know how to cope with All Inclusive, this was very limited and restricted , not much choice at all it all.
The service in the bar was so slow as there was only one member of staff serving most evenings.

One day 4 of the girls waiting 2 hours for a snack around the pool bar !

The food in the marrioot across the road was great which was only allowed for AI guest to use lunch time

AIl inclusive finishes after breakfast on your last day ??

On the positive side , all the waiters and staff were brilliant they could not do enough for you they tried so hard , very polite and a pleasure to the hotel
they were great in both hotels, we did have a good time at the hotel ... just a bit disappointed with some standard of room and lack of AI

Just arrived back from the marriott sharm el sheikh check in was quick taken straight to our room,needs updating the bed was very comfy and large,everything in the room worked no problems there.
The food was not very good we had to eat out a few times, and having to walk over to the beach side for our dinners,then when you was on the beach for the day being a/l couldn't get anything to drink unless you walked back over to the mountain side or pay for it, it was a bit of a pain.
The staff was all brill could not do enough for you and the rooms were cleaned every day.
there is a problem with the flies but that nothing to do with the hotel they can,t control them and the mossies i had 21 bites just on one leg they did spray our room for us.
The animation team was good though we didn,t participate they always came and spoke to us stephanie was the one that took the time with us making us laugh.
The two staff that stick out with us was the guy on the pool bar and the guy in harry,s bar they was brill,
Would we go there again it certainly is not a 5* only 3* for us so no we wont go there again you get what you pay for

Just come back from a fantastic two week holiday - love the place.

I have been coming to Sharm el Sheikh over the last eleven years staying at the Sharm el Sheikh Marriott Beach hotel every March and Septemer. The hotel and staff provide everything you need to enjoy your holiday, The staff are great they make you feel special nothing seems to be a problem. From Islam and Waleed on the front desk to Larisa in Guest Relations Even the General Manager Elaine gets out and about taking time out from her busy schedule to greet you.

Breakfast - a buffet breakfast which changes each day, great selection to choose from and the egg chef Mohamed will greet you with a wide smile.

Your room is spacious and beautifully decorated and spotless, the beds are heaven you sink in to clean bedding watching the tv enjoying a 'night cap' - wonderful. The bathroom is also spacious and spotless. There is a safe in your room which is easy to use.

The pool Wow! it is cleaned every morning and the sun bathing area is also spotless you can enjoy the waterfall where you can sit on stools under the waterfall and have a beer. Look out for Abde the pool attendent he speaks very good english and always at hand to help if needed.

The beach is only two minutes across the boardwalk at the back of the hotel, look out for Mohamed he looks after the Marriott's beach and sun loungers - great guy.

If you are thinking of going to Sharm for the first time (or have been before) consider the Marriott as it will leave you with lasting great memories that will make you want to go back - that's what happened to me.

Sharm -el - Sheikh is safe - so glad our Government allows us to travel.
