I'm very pleased with this hotel. Large bed and large bathroom.
At first we were given a room without a balcony/terrace. Asked at reception if we could change the room, no problem.
The staff here is very friendly and will be at your service 24/7.
I will definitely stay at this hotel next time I go to Egypt.

We have just returned from 10 days at the Marriott. The brochure and Internet make out that it is an all inclusive hotel however this isn't the case! The beach side of the resort where the restaurants are located are not included and you have to pay for both drinks and food. Also it states that Harry's bar serves English food and plays English sports on the tv. Again this is not the case the pub doesn't serve food has no Sport channels. It took them 15 mins to locate a glass of Rosé wine. The staff are very rude and really begrudge serving you. On the mountain side there is the main buffet restaurant and the pool bar. The atmosphere around the pool bar was awful. Staff arguing between themselves and asking for a drink was such hard work. All comments reported to the general manager who started making some changes before we left. Just hope she continues with this as this is not a 5 star Marriott at all. This was our 4th trip to Sharm but I would not recommend this hotel to stay in unless your willing to pay for your meals as well as the all inclusive price.

Once again I can only apologise for the misleading information that you received prior to your stay with us and I will as I promised bring this up with the tour operator and ensure that all bookings sites have the correct information on them.
Your invaluable comments regarding Harry’s Pub and the lack of hospitality extended to you in the Pergola Bar were welcomed and we will continue to work on ensuring that these areas are delivering the standard of product and service that you would rightly expect from a Marriott hotel.
I can only hope that the issues you encountered did not deter from the overall enjoyment of your holiday and I do hope that you had a smooth journey back to Manchester.

we 3 girls have just returned from the marriott mountain side in sharm i would like to say the staff here are brilliant they go out of their way to help make your holiday perfect, i would like to say a special thanks to the resturant staff who work really hard special thanks to Ahmed for making us feel welcome, i cant wait to return

A group of 10 of us have just returned from 2 weeks at the Marriott Mountainside resort (Beach side hotel just across the road)and had a excellent holiday. We were all inclusive and got a really good deal. This hotel should be up near number 20 on tripadvisor.
1) Rooms are the best ive stayed in sharm (5 times now) Beds are so comfortable, has tv with a few movie and news channels which is fine. enough storage space ,but would bring some cheap hangers .mini bar you have to pay for at the end of holiday, Shower and bath has good water supply and plenty hot water, also complimentary shower , bath gel and hair dryer. cleaners do a great job everyday and are really friendly.

2) Pools and gardens are first class. we were always at heated pool at mountainside which was very warm 27 degrees . Gardens around hotel are well maintained

3) Animation team are very good at mountainside with Giuseppe and katia .both very happy and get people involved in activities. night time entertainment we never really went to as never busy and not close to the pool bar.

4) Food and Drink. One buffet restaurant at mountainside which you use for breakfast and dinner and beachside buffet for lunch. there are other restaurants at the beachside but you have to pay for them. Also snackbar service at pool bar for lunch(burgers etc) . only 1 bar at mountainside(pool bar), but you can use harrys pub across the road at beach side. Food good, but can become repetitive so we ate out every 2nd night.one problem was there was lack of tables at times so had to wait(few more tables outside would solve that)

5) Staff are very friendly and we tipped quite a bit. .Islam(desk manager at beach side) is a credit to this hotel and could not do enough for us , sent a basket of fruit to our room, phoned us to make sure all ok and sorted us with 9 packed lunches for our boat trip.

Small minor points which could have been better. check in was ok , and we had to go and get 2 of our suitcases when leaving as the porters just never went back to get and bus was coming in 5 mins, more tables outside dining room, Pool bar staff were a bit slow at times, Pizza station for dining(for the children), lastly and nothing to do with hotel at roadside the guy with the camel is a nightmare and puts youngsters on the camel for a minute then chases the parent for money which he never said before and when offered 10 eyp he said no that for camel and demands a lot more . quite aggressive to a 50 year old women who had to hand me her purse.

All in all a great holiday and would go back anytime.

Room Tip: All rooms the same , but we liked ground floor as no stairs

stayed from 13/03/2013 to 20/03/2013 defo not a 5 star and not alinclusive had to pay to eat in the restaurants in the hotel could only use the buffet, snacks served in the bar pool area looked like snacks for a toddler so small only alcohol drinks free where local vodca,rum, beer, wine any others had a charge no cocktails on offer you also had to pay extra for them, giuseppe was lovely always a smile on his face also nice heated pool, apart from these issues had a nice time woulg go back to egypt but not this hotel
