We staid in the Hotel Hilton Fayrouz Sharm-el-Sheikh from 3 to 17 November 2013. This hotel is ok for guests hard of hearing or being deaf. There is a lot of noise as the hotel is directly in the landing zone oft he airport 10 kms away, being 250 to 300 m above ground level and from 5,20 a.m. till 3,20 night. Total min. 50 per day ; especially Russian jets (80% oft he guests are Russians) are very noisy. Twice a week on Thursday night from 9,30 p.m. to 5 or 6 a.m. an open-air-foam-party takes place nearby with never ending techno-bum bu mat 130 dezibel. You hear it fully in the hotel rooms, sleeping only possible with 2 tablets. Neither management of the hotel nor the local police takes care of the complaints from guests of the hotels. Occasionally they play the techno also during the day at same sound level. Reception at check-in ( we were the only one at that time) was unfriendly and no infos given as to location maps, danger of corals in the swimming area etc. As to the halfboard meals the dinner meals were below what we expected in an international-4-star-hotel: limited choice, too little variation, medium quality of food and cooking, the grill station delivered mostly burnt fish and other, kaki fruit were inside rotten (but even on complaint remained offered). The bungalow rooms are very small, no place for luggage. Furniture in the living room and bath and unsave doors are 26 years old. Cleaning is not done properly (dust) below the furniture. The beach is long and well kept (sometimes however black remainings from oil and diesel from the ships in the bay), but the width to swim is only 30 m and half of this area is covered by corals resp. their remainings. No toilet at the beach, only one is at reception site or you go to your bungalow. Beach chairs and sun umbrellas are fully occupied till early 7 a.m. as the guests from the Hilton all inclusive (opposite the main road ; all Russians) are also allowed to use it.
Overall Hilton Fayrouz resort is at best judgement an international-3-star-hotel and by no means to recommend at all, except you like noise and medium quality at high price! The hotel is by far not normal „Hilton“-standard. Hilton Fayrouz is operated for and on behalf of Rowad Misr for Tourism Investment Co., an Egypt company. Obviously Hilton gave just the name (franchising?) but does not take any responsability for their guests. For us, never again!
