Myself and my partner stayed at this hotel for a week at easter, we had a fantastic time. The service was excellent as the staff were so eager to please and nothing was too difficult for them to do. We found the standard of the rooms impecible and the room boys that cleaned our room every morning would leave us figures made of towels which were amazing.

The standard of the food was excellent and the choice of places to eat really good. We had a meal by the sea which you can book and this was amazing. We had our own waiter and the food was of a 5 star quality and it was not expensive.

We enjoyed it so much that we are going back for the week of christmas. There is naarma bay close by with lots of night life for young couples and the hotel has entertainment. There are plenty of activities to keep you interested, we went quad biking in the deseet and watched the sun set which was lovely.

We also walked up mount sinai overnight and saw the sun rise which was the most amazing experience. The walk up the mountain was so much fun as there are little shops and tea huts at various places and a mass of people and the atmosphere this creates in a must.

All in all a fantastic holiday which was not expensive and a place which holds a speacial place in our hearts, (Might have soething to do with the fact that my partner proposed to me when we had the meal on the beach).

Holiday end of August - beg Sept 2 weeks 2006. 37 - 40 degrees but a nice heat. (got a wonderful tan)
Fantastic hotel could not fault it staff were helpful friendly and amusing. Very clean, swimming pools lovely, room clean spacious and nice, maid very through ( please tip the maid they work so hard) for very little money. The staff in general cannot do enough for you. This hotel will not dissappoint layout is great , pool bar is cool and the beauty rooms and gym is very nice. There is a vast range of food on offer every day and different theme nights the food is very good. The Belly Dancer night by the pool was exceptional where all the tables and food was cooked outside ....fantastic!

Beach is small but ok, a couple of minutes walk and private, jetty to walk down to get into sea as the corals are close to beach...fish...wow huge tropical fish right there for you to see and snorkle with.

We did some fantastic excursions while we were here, Camel ride through the desert to the Beduins at night where we had a traditional meal with the people and learnt about their unique culture. We took a days boat trip snorking to Tiran Island and stopped in 3 different places to see the beauty of the fish in the Red Sea.

We SWAM WITH DOLPHINS - this was a dream come true and absolutely amazing, this can be done in Sharm at Dolphinela.
We also flew to Cairo for the day where we went to Geezer and saw the amazement of the Pyramids, the Spinz, the Epytion Museum and the Perfume Palace.

I could write forever about this hotel and place it was truely brilliant. For the FIRST TIME EVER we will be going back to the same hotel next year as soon as possible!!!

We have just returned from another week at the Hilton, we went 3months ago for the first time. Weather unbelievabally hot(im usually a sun worshipper but this heat takes your breath away).Hotel staff pleased to see us. As return guests we had room upgrade, fizzy drinks left in our fridge, fresh fruit and plates of cakes left regulary in our room all for free.Cannot leave any bad comments about this hotel ATALL. However a word of warning about trips!!! we booked flight to Cairo £170 each.plus £15 each for visa(you need to travel outside of sharm el sheik)It was nothing short of hell... picked up at 4.45am -50min flight on plane so hot you could fry an egg on the tray in font of you(IM NOT EXAGGERATING) what air con! From then on in we were on a mini bus that again had no air conditioning that worked. There was only 1 other couple on our "LIBRA" excursion thankfully as a bigger group would of struggled to hear tour guide.Went to Mohammed ali citadel first, lovely place but no loo and only 15mins of free time. Then on to museum(thankfully we made it on the road were cars are driven ....Well frankly like noone has anything to live for) 1 and half hours shown round King Tutankhamom artefacts ONLY 25 "free"mins to look round the rest of THE MOST AMAZING museum in the world!! Then we went for Lunch which was lovely. We were all looking forward to seeing Pyramids, but on way tour guide decided to stop at a papyrus "museum" (HE MEANT A SHOP) 5 minutes later we were ready to leave ,20mins later the tour guide had finished his drink!! Next the pyramids WOW, amazing site, SHAME I was so heat exhausted to go inside or even climb to entrance.BEWARE the locals that grab you, come up behind you while you pose for photo and then try to charge because he says you took his photo. Then tour guide said because we had 4hrs to kill before allowed back to airport would we like to go to market were it would be very hot very busy and harrassed to buy or nice perfume shop, air conditioning free drinks nice toilets.Guess wot we chose!. We found out later tour guide recieves % of wot is sold to his party. Again we asked to leave after short time. We thought we were heading for airport and asked for earlier flight.Told we going to jewellery shop...WE SAID NO, and asked to be taken some where we could buy water. WE had driven for 30mins and taken back to perfume street were we had to sit outside cafe for 45mins. Eventually another travel guide arrived. During trip to airport we had to insist on stopping at a loo, which was filthy beyound anything I have ever seen. The trip was Hell If you go take 4large bottles of water each and be prepared to put your foot down to spending longer at the sites you paid to see.Id advise taking "sport type" drink sachets with you too, to replace the minerals etc you sweat out, the heat makes you ill otherwise.
Thats enough about that, now please give the shops in the hotel a look, We made good frieds with Osama( older man in herb shop) and Weleed (perfume shop) they are great people and I recieved many FREE massages with their oils and me and my husband drank herbal drinks with them every day. They really dont mind you just looking in their shops and Osama is VERY knowledgable with Egyptian history.
One last word of warning....IF you go down with cramps and diarrhoea dont bother taking the medicines the tour rep? pharmacy (in shop across road) says. they dont work and according to our doctors are the wrong medicines!!.
Besides all that have a great time ,BEWARE of the heat. Liz_hales@btopenworld.com

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a week (11th-18th Septemeber) and we wished we had booked for 2 weeks instead. Having stayed at the same hotel the previous year I knew the high standards to expect, however they exceeded my expectations and i knew why I had returned to this hotel. On arrival we were greeted in reception by the friendly staff who offered us a welcome drink and helped us check in promptly. Our luggage was then taken by buggy straight to our room. Once the porter realised I had been there before a lovely fruit basket, large bottles of soft drink and some cans of heineken arrived. These standards remained thoughout the week making this holiday so special. Each day there was a large selection of foods to choose from for breakfast, lunch and dinner, not forgetting the free iceream at the lovely pool bar and snacks thoughout the day and late evening. Nothing was ever too much trouble for any of the staff. After a practice seesion in the swimming pool we booked an introductory dive with the hotels dive club which was fantastic. There were some amazing fish and we even found nemo!! An underwater camera is a must!
We also went quad biking which included a bbq lunch and a swim in the blue lagoon which was a great experience. The hotel also have a very hard working animation team who work long hours to provide entertainment for everyone day and night! The beach party on saturday was especially good as was the oriental night with some great food and dancing around the pool. This definately was a holiday to remember and once again we will be returning to the delightful hilton sharks bay next year.

Just got back from a week at the Hilton Sharks Bay. Despite reading the reviews thus far, didn't think it would be this good. Really nothing to complain about. The staff are amazingly friendly and helpful. The place is spotless. The food is varied. Snorkeling off the jetty is an amazing experience (better than the half day dive we did!). Went quad biking in the desert which is again an amazing experience. I wondered why people keep going back but I see why now!!
