“Got to go Deluxe side”

Arrived back last night after two weeks in the newer side. Very spacious rooms, Wagdy our room guy was brilliant, nothing was too trouble. Massive pool. The middle one is being refurbished at the mo, and you can barely hear them working. Pool bar staff are excellent and work very hard.
Restaurant: food is mediocre, I actually lost weight through eating salad and pasta. Not a great selection at any meal time. The chair backs need a really good scrubbing at they have black hand marks at the tops and the backs. Tables look clean but your elbows stick to them.
Entertaining was ok but was basically the same as other Egyptian hotels that we've been too. Overall a nice relaxing pool holiday. Might go back for a week.

I have just returned from the Hilton, Sharks Bay, and I have to say I was extremely disappointed. The first problem came on checking in, we were asked if we wished to upgrade to the deluxe hotel across the road for £18 per night. The deluxe hotel is the hotel we thought we had originally booked as all the photos on the website are of the new hotel! We complained but still ended up paying extra for staying in the hotel we thought we had booked in the first place!
The food choice was very limited, boring and repetitive, I ate the same food every day for a week. The all inclusive drinks consisted of one free (very small) glass of wine per person then you were charged. The cheapest bottle of wine was £25. I had an upset stomach for 2days.
There was a new pool being built so this meant noise of diggers all day when trying to relax.
There is also something being built next to the beach which also meant lots of noise and dust.
No drinking water in any of the pool bars, only alcohol.
The 2 bars had a very small selection of free cocktails then the rest of the menu was additional charge.

On the plus side the staff were friendly, the cleaner was very good and left decorative towel displays on our bed every day. The pool area was clean and always had enough spare loungers. We had a fantastic body scrub and massage, enjoyed snorkelling and quad biking in the dessert.

Although I would return to Sharm El Sheikh I would not stay in the Hilton again.

We are concerned to learn about your comments regarding your stay with us. We value your comments, as it is only through the eyes of our guests we can improve our services.

We are very sorry for the disruption caused by our neighbors and despite repeated attempts to seek answers as to how long it would continue, the hotel was unable to gain clarification.

Reference to your comment regarding the wine; please note that the wine is available during the day & night on all bars and restaurants, no charges for all inclusive wine and serving wine without any limits. The cheapest Bottle of wine cost 19 English pounds.

All the pool bar serving 6 kinds of Juices , 4 kinds of cocktails , beer , 2 kind of all inclusive wines and 6 alcoholic cocktails, in addition the team can do any free cocktails as the guest request away from the charged cocktails) the water is available in all pool bars .

We have different cocktails menus including 6 kind of all inclusive cocktails and 4 non inclusive
In respect to the stomach upset, the hotel is HACCP compliant undergoes monthly external Health and Safety audits, where our results are deemed as excellent. Upset stomachs are not necessarily a result of food, but can be combination of many reasons. Given that the hotel is all inclusive, any potential virus would affect all of our guests. To further insure our guests’ satisfaction we also have a resident doctor on site 24 hours a day.


May I take this opportunity to thank you for your feedback I am sorry that you felt that the holiday did not live up to your expectations and I do hope that you do give the hotel another chance on your next visit to Sharm, as we constantly strive to improve the service to our guests.

we got back on 25th April, myself, husband and daughter Jess. we thought the rooms on the deluxe side were very clean and spacious, the cleaner came every day and did a very good job. the food was very good there was something for everyone, our waiter Ahmed Aly was so polite and helpful i can't thank him enough. i was ill for 4 days (nothing to do with food or ice, just an illness i had) he brought my food to the room for me and if there was nothing on the menu for me the staff cooked a special meal for me. the animation team were good fun, Tasha and Magdy were my daughters (and mine) favourites, they took her under their wings and she had a ball.
i would go back to this hotel any time and would recommend it to all my friends. Also if you get a chance try the spa, i had two fantastic massages. The diving and snorkelling is second to none.

Having just returned from a weeks stay here, the hotel is in a great location in Sharks Bay, a short walk to Soho square, which is great as no hassle there unlike some areas... sadly theres not much more going for it..... firstly when we arrived the taxi was'nt there as promised and we had to borrow another reps phone to ring the hotel who couldn't find us at first. eventually someone came for us, this didn't start the holiday of too well..... We were located in the old part down near to beach, next to the sunset bar....location of room okay, long walk to new part of hotel (bus is available though) once settled in our room my partner went to the sunset bar to order a "hilton special" cocktail, to which he was advised there's nothing special about the hilton, its just a name and none of the barman's equipment worked and he was leaving the hotel.... hilton is a name only ..... he was right.. I felt alot of the staff were miserable, and the food variety was terrible. we ate in the Italian once which is free but it wasn't up to much. We paid to eat in the House of Asia restaurant in the new part which was lovely, cost about £32 for 2 of us. Very strange feel as you use two hotels , the new one and old one, which are across the roads from one another.. the new one is lovely but not finished, only one large pool finished, still building work going on, i'm sure it will be lovely when complete and then the old part that needs doing up to be honest. We had the oldest dirtiest patio table and chairs I have ever seen......
This is the only hotel I have been in Egypt with no comfy sofas and bar area in the lobby.... There are a few bars that open at 6pm till midnight but no where to cool of during the day. Impossible to get bottled water at most bars.... again something that i have never had an issue with before.
this was my 6th time to egypt and as much as i loved sharks bay , i don't think i will be going back to the hilton..... We spent all holiday comparing it to the lovely Tropicana Grand Azure in Nabq Bay......

My friend and I stayed for 1 week 7th - 14th April. We stayed in the deluxe side where the rooms were amazing, with everything you could need including tea and coffee. The cleaners worked hard and the rooms were spotless, a new towell art everyday!
I can't understand the complaints about the food, choice at breakfast was good as was the service........ A smile and a thank you go a long way! Stayed and all staff made us feel welcome each time we visited the restaurant. Lunches and evening meal was always fine. Would maybe get a bit repetitive over two weeks but the same in many hotels to be fair.
Had a lovely meal at the Italian restaurant, included in the price.
We were disappointed with the lack of cocktails at the pool bar but would recommend the Sharks bite. Then we discovered the Q bar. Great cocktails, thanks to the amazing guys working behind the bar. Really enjoyed the nights where there was a singer in the bar who got us dancing, great fun.
We chose to stay around the adult only pool, pool was freezing but refreshing, had to walk to the bar at the other pool as not high season. Again on a request from other guests the second pool bar was opened but too late for us. Pools were really clean and the grounds were well presented, always being worked on. All staff were friendly and soon got to know that we just wanted a lazy week!
The beach is not our kind of beach but we knew that before we went. The beach is sheltered if it gets windy in the new part and the snorkelling is amazing. We went down a couple of times.
Soho square is ok. Fountains lovely but drinks etc very expensive. Enjoyed a night of cocktails when we met up with friends staying elsewhere at The Queen Vic.
Did not notice the airport noise enough for it to be an issue, was great to not have a long journey to the airport.
The airport on arrival was a shambles and staff were very unhelpful, go straight to passport control, if you are only staying in Sharm you do NOT need a visor.
We wanted a lazy holiday in the sun and that's what we got!!

up on arriving were ask straight away if we wanted to upgrade to the deluxe side, which was a bit worrying, but we decided not to and our room was good, clean and well equipped.

hotel had its own private beach with a rally good snorkelling area, saw a sting ray every time!

Pools on the old side weren't as nice as the duluxe side so we used there pool area.

food wasn't great in the main buffet area not much choice at all not good for kids, and the service wasn't that great some of the greeting staff were rude and took a while getting drinks. BUT staff every where else were lovely specially the pool side guys.

would definitely stay again but really only coz its a great location.

We stayed for one week on the old side of the hotel. Was a bit off-putting with the building work but we hardly noticed any noise but was woken a few times by the loud speaker over the back at 3.30am, calling people to prayer. The old side could do with a major refurbishment, to come upto standard of the new side. The staff were absolutely fantastic, especially Mohammed, who worked tirelessly to keep the pool area clean and tidy at all times and was so cheerful to all guests, he really helped to make a nice atmosphere around the pool and was a credit to the Hilton. Also the waiting staff in the restaurant too, were so nice and their customer service towards my husband and daughter, was exceptional. Special thanks go to tall Ahmed, another Ahmed and Saad, you helped to make our holiday and looked after us wonderfully. The daytime activities were great around the pool but thought the evening entertainment was a but poor especially for teens13-16. Nit sure if i would return to actual hotel but we still had a great time, due to the friendliness of staff and guests there at the time
