We have just returned from the sensatori as a family holiday with Thomsons , Overall the hotel is excellent and the staff are fantastic , polite and can't do enough to help you , the food is lovely and fresh with always something there to suit everyone. The pools are big and clean and the rooms we had were excellent , but there are a couple of little niggling points that don't make this hotel quite a 5 star yet
The reception area is very dim and needs some brightening up as you don't get that 5star feeling when you walk through the doors ,
We travelled with 3 teenagers so the first thing they want if Wifi ,and the poor quality wifi was only available free in the reception and piano bar which at main times with everybody trying together a signal turned these two places in to a cyber cafe which looked horrendous as there were people just sat and stood everywhere on their phones and pads . You could upgrade to the same poor quality wifi anywhere in the hotel but this cost £20 per day .
Another point which I didn't like was that our three teenagers were in the same room , but one of them was on a sofa bed , surely the hotel must have a three bedded room and we did book plenty of time in advance and did pay full adult...We have just returned from the sensatori as a family holiday with Thomsons , Overall the hotel is excellent and the staff are fantastic , polite and can't do enough to help you , the food is lovely and fresh with always something there to suit everyone. There are other little points like not been able to get any snacks between breakfast 10.00 finish and 1.00pm when the restaurants open and all the snacks are like plated meals , so not really a snack and the alcohol upgrade , well this costs you £30 per person per night , so make your own choice .
As for Thomsons they need to take a look at this hotel and especially the transfers between the airport and back which are horrendous as the local Thomson reps just stand back while the local people just grab your luggage and demand money , I repeat demand not ask , this continues alway through the check in and for some people it was very frightening .
Plus the flight with Thomsons was like a low cost budget flight with no hot meals and no entertainment for 5 and half hours ,
Overall I would do another Sensatori but somewhere else , as for Eygpt , I won't be returning for a very very long time and I am awaiting a reply from Thomsons
