Very good hotel, spacious rooms need a bit renovation but fine.. Liked the salty pool a lot, the beach is not very good as it's rocky. Nice restaurant but not a lot of varieties of food. Overall a very good hotel.

Our third time in sharm and this was by far the best hotel to stay in! the staff were friendly, particularly jemma from the animation team who made the experience even more entertaining! we upgraded to a sea view room which was well worth the extra money we paid! As vegetarians the choice of food is limited but the kitchen staff are very accomodating by making you whatever you liked (within reason). Great choice of pools to relax in, however they are very salty, a mouthful of that would not be a pleasent experience! The location is far from nama bay(about a 15min taxi journey) so if your looking to stay in the central hub of sharm this hotel is not for you! more for families and couples! overall a great place to stay would definately recommend and would come back. an added bonus would be free wifi!!

Enjoyable stay at the Hilton.. Clean, friendly staff an decent variety of food.. Usual reserving of sunbeds (happens everywhere) but relaxing pool environment.. Maybe a bit more service around the pool would be great.. Please give Gemma and the team more resources to ensure they can deliver a 5star entertainment experience

Just returned from a great week at the Hilton Waterfalls!
Its easiest if I split the good from the bits that need improving!

Good - Location is right on the beach and has excellent snorkeling
Good choice of food at the buffet and restaurants, its not 5 star but still decent enough!
Breakfast is excellent!
Rooms are spacious and well maintained and cleaned every day
Huge choice of pools - the heated ones are the best at the top end of the Hotel
The Beer and the Gin
The Staff are excellent and I honestly can't fault their customer service - even better
service if you tip them a couple of quid
Good selection of TV Channels in the room!
Safe and Secure

Bits for improvement

The salt water pools near the beach should be fresh water as its not a pleasant
experience swimming in them.
The local Vodka is not vodka at all and should be avoided
Some small works going on which were not really sectioned off enough
and could pose a danger to small children if left unattended
WIFI Surely has to be free in the rooms and not charged at £1.50 for 15mins in the
Lobby
Silly things are charged extra such as Milk Shakes at £3 a go!!!!

All in all I would recommend this hotel to friends and family as a good hotel offering value for money., There are a few basics that could be improved on to make the experience better for the guests but nothing that will ruin your holiday.

I would not say this is a 5 star hotel by European standards more of a decent 4 star but for Egypt its certainly the best all rounder I have stayed in and the first time I or my family have not caught the dreaded sickness bug in the 3 times we have been to Sharm.

As for Sharm itself its a shame to see the decay of the resort due to the recession so I'd avoid leaving the hotel grounds for security and sanity reasons.

This hotel was such a delight to stay in the cleanliness, food, and overall everything was superb! The animation team were excellent, especially Jemma Lait, who really encouraged us to get involved and enjoy our selves! The staff were polite and delightfull, the rooms were a very reasonable size and always spotless! I lives this hotel and will definitly recommend it to all my friends!

We stayed here for the 5th time and enjoyed it as much as the first. Mamood our room cleaner (2409) did a lovely job as did Gemma and the Animation team. I have already booked to return next Easter (2014). The only thing I moaned about was the lack of free Wi-Fi which hopefully will be resolved by the time I. return

I have always wanted to visit Egypt and got the chance in March.

We arrived at night so were unable to really see our surroundings until the next day. The hotel entrance is grand and the reception area impressive.

We checked in, which was quick and painless and were then taken by buggy to our room.

We paid for a sea view so I was very excited the next day to go out onto the balcony. Yes, we could see the sea over the top of the building in front of ours. Not exactly the sea view I was expecting but it was OK. We like to watch the sunrise and sunset whenever on holiday. Couldn’t really sit and do this here as at sunset the exterminator fumigates the whole complex and you have to go inside.

Our room was spacious and clean with lots of hanging space. There was a hairdryer and safe. The bedding was not great; the bottom sheet was all bobbly. The bath had seen better days and the water was very slow to drain.

We also found out the next night that our room was directly below the Shish Bish. To sit out on the balcony was not an option due to the music and shuffling overhead. The next morning the balcony would have stones and food on the floor.

The grounds were beautiful and view from the top of the hotel looking down was great. The scenery was spoilt a bit by the walkways that were taped off for drainage works. They remained taped off the whole week we were there.

The chillax pool was relaxing, although the water was freezing which probably accounts for why so few people actually went in it. We had no problems getting a sunbed; providing we got there before 10am. We did get approached while sunbathing by a number of staff selling different things, spa, sports, photographs etc. They were polite enough and didn’t harass you once you said no.

There isn’t much of a beach. Instead there are about 4 pockets carved into the cliff face where sunbeds have been placed. There are plenty of sunbeds around the larger pools at the bottom of the complex; all had gone by 10am so get there early. We did not see a lot of the normal reserving a bed at 6am with a towel going on here which was good.

The lift going from and to the hotel from the sea is very useful as it is a very steep climb coming back up.

The main dining area is impersonal and lacks any character. It is noisy and unpleasant and resembles a canteen. The food here is dire. It lacks variety, is tasteless and unappealing, well to us it was but some nationalities seemed to like it judging by the amount they had on their plates. There is also no self services drinks area. Nobody appears to have heard of the word queue or wait.

We visited all the speciality restaurants during our stay, and we can honestly say, they were nothing special. If you do decide to pay them a visit, it is advisable to book these. This can be done between 11am – 3pm (I think these were the times) at a desk tucked away by the 3 shops.

The 3 shops are to the left of the main entrance. A perfume shop, a general bits and bobs shop and I’m not sure what the other one was.

There was a clothes shop (you wouldn’t buy anything from here) close to exit to the chillax pool but it never seemed to be open. Up by the toilets in the main reception, there was a cluster of little shops that were all empty and closed up.

The cocktails from the reception lounge area were refreshing and the beer was good. It was pleasant sitting in the reception lounge area people watching or watching the “herd” in the canteen below.

We didn’t use the spa or any of the other facilities so cannot comment. But there seemed to be plenty.

If you go on any trips you can asked for a breakfast box. Everyone else on the trips had small boxes with handles or bags with their hotel name blazing across it. We had a large cumbersome off white box that resembled an ebay posting box which was difficult to hold. No handles, no colour, no logos. Very surprising considering we were staying at a Hilton hotel.

The best thing about the hotel are the staff. They are what make it. Friendly, helpful, attentive, willing and hard working.

Although Hilton is a big name, this hotel does not live up to expectations and is no way 5 stars.

As a front office manager I was concerned that provided room did not match your personal preferences. We put a lot of efforts to accommodate each guest request and to let our valued guest feel most relaxed and cared for. Particular room type availability always depends on occupancy level on the date and time of arrival. Our front desk are always delighted to grant any room change request when addressed by a guest.

Our spa, water sport and animation teams only approach guests around our pools if the provided "do not disturb signs" are not placed on a guests sun lounger or umbrella. We apologize if this was unclear.

Our Executive Chef was concerned to know that we were not able to fulfill your requirements in regards to variety of food. Our main restaurant La Cascade features 7 different theme events during the evening hours with a large selection of dishes. In addition we offer 3 other restaurants which are included in the premier all inclusive packages. Nevertheless I have urged the kitchen equipped to fine-tune our seasoning philosophy. In addition our Executive chef Ayman ElSawy held a meeting with his Sous chefs and main kitchen chefs to roll up the sleeves more and to let the creative mind come to its full potential.

We will continue with full power and motivation to strive for excellence - hopefully, you will notice a difference during your next stay.
