“Very impressive hotel”

Myself and my partner stayed at the Hilton Waterfalls 7th Feb to 14th Feb and from the minute we arrived we were impressed, even the little touches of being brought a glass of juice whilst we were checking in.
We were then taken to our room by a buggy and our bags were carried in to the room. The room was lovely with a fantastic view of the sea and pools. I have never slept in a bed as comfortable as this one, it was huge and we both had the best nights sleep possible. Our room was cleaned every day with the added touch of swans and hearts made from the towels on our bed. Water and coffee etc was replenished daily. There was a mini bar in the room, but we did not touch this as we were finding it difficult enough to find time for all the food and drink on offer anyway!!!
The food was fantastic, there was something for everyone, we even noticed that they would cook children's meals on request, such as fish fingers etc. I can not see what anyone could complain about as there was so much selection, you can not go to another country and expect to find the food you would eat at home. All the staff in the buffet restaurant were friendly and very helpful, it amazes me how they can be told your name one day and remember it for the rest of the holiday.
We had a meal in the Italian restaurant one evening, we went for a meal that we had to pay a little extra for (about £25 each) but the food was fantastic, one of the best meals I have ever eaten. It consisted of about 9 courses and was cooked to a very high standard. Well worth the money, you would never ever get a meal of that standard for that price in the UK. Unfortunately we did not try the other restaurants as you have to book and we are not very good at planning, so mainly used the main restaurant (only ever had breakfast and evening meal, there was no way we could find room for lunch!).
The bar staff were the best and made our stay unforgetable, thanks to all of them for making our stay so special, special thanks to Ahmed Mostafa who looked after us from the time we arrived to the time we left. He also arranged for a birthday cake to be delivered to our room on my partners birthday.
Whilst there we went out on a boat trip that Ali G in da house arranged, if you are thinking of going on any trips whilst there, I would highly recommend seeing Ali G, he is a very honest man, for example he gave us a price in Egyptian pounds and we wanted to pay in English, so when we paid he actually told us we had paid too much due to the exchange rate and it would be more beneficial for us to change the money and pay him in Egyptian pounds so we would not pay as much, we appreciated his honesty and told him to take the English and keep the difference.
Over all the hotel was great, but what makes this hotel so great is the staff.
My partner got an upset stomach whilst there, so I went to reception to ask where I could get medicine, they phoned a doctor, passed the phone to me to explain the symptoms, twenty minutes later the medicine was delivered to our room, all for £4, where would you get this service in the UK??? I would like to add that the upset stomach was nothing to do with hygeine in the hotel, it was due to my partner over indulging on foods that he had never eaten before, quite normal in any country that you visit.
The only bad thing about this hotel was having to leave....
Big Thank you to all the staff at this hotel, I would highly recomment this hotel and can not wait to return.

Room Tip: Sea view rooms are worth staying in, but best to upgrade when you get there as you get a better pric...

Recently returned from another very enjoyable stay at the Hilton Waterfalls. (Feb. 9th-16th)
FOOD--Very good for a large hotel catering for different nationalities. If you want something different just ask one of the chefs and if they can, they will --and with a smile. We heard one or two complaints but they were from people who expected to find just British food and were not prepared try anything else. The Cascade Restaurant team are very helpful. Apart from the main restaurant there are three others. All good.
STAFF-We have stayed in quality hotels around the world. Some of them could learn from the staff here. A dedicated and "nothing is too much trouble" team. They do work as a team and they are not happy if anyone lets the team down. Ever stayed at a hotel where the Senior Management Team meets a cross section of guests each week to listen to their views so that they can act on them in order to constantly improve? This one does.
ROOMS--Excellent. Large sleeping/living area. Large bathroom. Large balcony. Extremely clean. The young men who clean the rooms do a very good job. The towel art they create is fantastic.
POOLS--2 Large and 2 smaller. Very clean. Sun and fun at the bottom pool but not, "in your face." Much quieter at the top "Chillax" pool. Restrictions on children here. Pool attendant stops noisy pool games or anything else that disturbs the peace--much appreciated by guests looking for quiet. This is a big plus for the hotel. Large comfortable sun beds, sun brollies and large clean towels.This year the bar service (Islam) and the pool boy (Mohamed) were fantastic.
BEACH ok. SNORKELING very good.
OUT AND ABOUT--Easy access to all areas. Reception and/or Guest Relations will advise and will arrange taxi etc.
GROUNDS--Very well kept by hard working gardeners. Lots of colourful plants and well kept lawns. A waterfall runs down the centre of the complex. There are lots of steps but a funicular operates from top to bottom.
All the friends that we have introduced to this hotel say that they will return, some already have, and so shall we!!

We have been visiting Sharm now for probably 15 years and thought we would try this hotel due to it's star rating on tripadvisor and it's location on the reef. We stayed between 31st Jan - 7th Feb, on checking in I was slightly sceptical that we were immediatly offered a discounted upgrade, when this option was declined we were then taken to our room (4408 I think) a bit out of the way on the right hand side of the reception, seemed ok on first inspection (certainly nothing like 5 star though), hairs were then found in the bed, the bath had a hole in the back rest part that had been filled with what looked like rough pollyfilla leaving a sharpe edge and the hair dryer in the bathroom was held together with tape, we then slept through the noise of the nearby outside entertainment (after having requested a quiet room). Anyway we awoke to the sun the next morning only to pull back the curtains to see that our view was some building works. I then decided to complain to the reception where a very helpful, professional Room Clerk by the name of Ayman arranged for us to be moved to room 2821, much better.
That was unfortunately our first impression of this hotel, but I must say that once we went through the hassle of moving rooms everything else was good. Yes the hotel is a little bit tired and needs upgrading, but the majority of the staff do their best to make up for this, a few of the best staff being, Ahmed Taha (breakfast tea boy) Fantastic!, always happy to help, Yossif (Waiter) Very Good, Mohamed Gamal (Beach Boy) Excellent. The hotel management need to look after these guys because without them the hotel would just blend in with all the others in Sharm. Or perhaps employ more people like the tall Egyptian guy who walks around with his solaris T-shirt on making little comments to you as he walks away.
Apart from that the hotel is clean, good facilities, good food and service, nice house reef but why is it cordoned off? really didn't like like that.

As an executive housekeeper, I was regretful to read your comments about the room. We are sorry that the ambiance of guest rooms did not meet your expectations. We believe that 11 year old property does show wear, however it is management's task to preventively and pro-actively work tirelessly to keep the property in shape. Numerous on-going maintenance works are currently carried out, for instance, the partial room refurbishment project, to guarantee that our accommodations are of the newest standards. I have discussed your critique points and with my team I assure you that we continue focusing on our philosophy of servicing each and every guest individually and passionately. Just back from a lovely week holiday at this resort, previously had stayed at Sharks bay and found there were some small but important differance,. great venue at both although i found the snorkelling at sharks bay a bettter experience , the food was better at Waterfalls with a choice of more than 5 al a carte resturaunts, staff were all freindly although while we were there there was alot of management there foe some reason who seemed to take the personal human aspect out of staff as they seemed a little less freindly and more regimented , tip here is to leave them doing thegreat job they are doing and give them more tools to do thier job better , special thanks to the staff especially the following Mohamed Gamal whi daily provided you with freesh towels and freindly welcome each morning in a lovely clean enviroment by the pool , Islam Ragab regularly running round ensuriing you had enough drinks and clearing up constantly, the staff at mealtimes were freindly with Ahmed Taha and Yousef making extra special efforts to ensure you had everything you needed at everymeal. and finally a huge thanks to AymanWaheedBoshra for his fantastic knowledgable experience in the Italian resturaunt best meal of the holiday thansk to all the staff although as i say give them the tools to do thier jobs better how about draught beer at everybar instead of getting the second half of a bottle of beer thats been sitting in the sun , also running out of red or rose at anytime is very poor management. Staff keep up the good work especially the above people and Management get yer act sorted and make a good holiday a great holiday experience Thanks dont let this put you off visiting it was a good holiday and worth the money

My wife and I booked this hotel after reading the excellent reviews on Tripadvisor and we were not disappointed. The staff are excellent and you could not want for more from them. The hotel and grounds are kept so clean and the food is excellent. There is not one thing to pick this hotel up on. There are small personal things but it is just your own preference like the pools being sea water, I prefer fresh water but it's no big deal. If you are looking for an excellent hotel in Sharm look no further!!!!
I would not hesitate to recommend it to my friends and I'm sure we will b back next year. We stayed Feb. 2nd-12th 2013

Went here on holiday from the 27th jan - 4th feb, nice hotel and staff exceptional, we felt our rooms we got to start with were not up to scratch with a 5 star hotel (this was to do with some building work they were doing in this area and also been put next to the trade entrance of the hotel which wasnt great) we mentioned it to our rep and he sorted out a room change, my only disapointment was that they had sea view rooms available empty and due to us complaining about our standard room you would have thought we would have been upgraded, with out having to pay (there was plent available as we got asked when arriving if we wanted to pay to up grade, (surely if you have better rooms available you would put customers in these first before putting them in front of building work and the trade entrance which had deliverys every morning ect) any way we ended up getting a better room and the rest of the holiday was good, pool lovely food good and the reef is lovely to snorkle on (wish we had gone diving),
tip for this hotel is to pay a little extra and get a sea view room it gives you a different experience to the hotel as the garden view rooms are nothing special.

also the lads in the spice/tea shop are a credit to this hotel wonderful people and enjoyed our last few hours drinking tea with them, Thanks Mr Hill room 1409

loved the hotel, relaxing with my family, everyone was able to find for themselves what to do, men, volleyball, soccer, women's water aerobics, step aerobics, children's playground, swimming pool. animation team na territory - a great ! A special thank you for Nastya, Julia. Lito the show the best couple - very funny. several restaurants, one main and Italian, Bedouin,sea-food. eating ice cream (usually with 4 types). wonderful rest, all those who go to Egypt, we recommend this hotel. the evening animation carries the disco, we do not need it, but here's my daughter Nastya and sent more than once.
